U Foyeru Hrvatskog narodnog kazališta u četvrtak je svečano obilježena 130. obljetnica drugog svečanog otvaranja Monumentalne fontane, popularno zvane Bajamontuša.

Splitska fontana koja je podignuta kao spomenik obnove Dioklecijanova vodovoda i dolaska tekuće vode u Split otvarana je dva puta. Prvi put su je 15. prosinca 1888. godine zajedno otvorili dr. Gajo Bulat, tadašnji splitski narodnjački gradonačelnik sa svojim suradnicima i dr. Antonio Bajamonti, inicijator podizanja Fontane i predstavnik prinosnika. Drugi put je svečano otvorenje organizirano 4. listopada 1890. godine. Tada je uređenje Fontane, čiju su gradnju sufinancirali brojni Splićani, konačno dovršeno.

Povijesni kontekst

- Ova obljetnica je i prigoda da se prisjetimo povijesnog konteksta u kojem je ona napravljena te da se prisjetimo njenog umjetničkog značaja i važnosti za grad jer ona je u biti spomenik vodi i obnovi Dioklecijanovog vodovoda nakon gotovo 1500 godina. Obnova spomenika kojeg su sufinancirali brojni Splićani je moralni i civilizacijski čin kojim će se ispraviti ova povijesna nepravda. Obnovom fontane će se ponovno zaokružiti najvrjedniji kompleks 19. stoljeća, kazao je Marijan Čipčić, predsjednik Društva prijatelja kulturne baštine.

Splitski gradonačelnik Andro Krstulović Opara prošle godine je Čipčića imenovao i koordinatorom obnove Monumentalne fontane na Rivi koji nam je objasnio i u kojoj je fazi sama obnova.

- Napravljen je konzervatorski elaborat i zaključen je natječaj za glavni projekt. Sada se ide u izradu glavnog projekta koji bi trebao biti gotov do kraja godine. Što se tiče rokova, teško je sada govoriti o njima i očekivanjima kada će to biti gotovo jer je obnova umjetničkih djela kompleksna, objasnio je Čipčić.

Gradonačelnik Andro Krstulović Opara je istaknuo kako je željeni cilj – treće otvaranje splitske fontane. Tu nema i ne smije biti politike, ovdje se, kako je istaknuo gradonačelnik, radi prvenstveno o ljubavi prema svome gradu i baštini.

Uništena baština

- Vraćanje fontane je civilizacijsko pitanje, kao i pitanje vraćanja naše baštine koja je uništena nakon Drugog svjetskog rata, u onome vihoru ludila barbarskog uništavanja svega što je drugačije. Neki vele da se ona ne može vjerno obnoviti. Divni Hrvatski dom u Tončićevoj ulici faksimilno obnovili smo na osnovu nekoliko fotografija, a fotografija neprežaljene fontane ima mnogo više od tri. Sa stanovišta struke tu dileme nema – kazao je gradonačelnik.

Glavni konzervator Ministarstva kulture RH, Miljenko Domijan pružio je punu potporu naporima obnove fontane te naglasio kako Split ima izuzetnu povijesnu raznolikost i povijesno naslijeđe po kojem je možda najfascinantniji grad na Mediteranu. U tu sliku, nastavio je glavni konzervator, savršeno se uklapa Monumentalna fontana, jer je voda sastavni dio bogate splitske povijesne i kulturološke baštine.

- Fontana je nestala činom nasilja. Takav čin, s povijesnog i konzervatorskog stajališta, opravdava faksimilnu obnovu. Faksimilskom rekonstrukcijom fontana bi se obnovila u autentičnom materijalu i obliku, za kraj je kazao Domijan.

U Foyeru Hrvatskog narodnog kazališta u četvrtak je svečano obilježena 130. obljetnica drugog svečanog otvaranja Monumentalne fontane, popularno zvane Bajamontuša.

Splitska fontana koja je podignuta kao spomenik obnove Dioklecijanova vodovoda i dolaska tekuće vode u Split otvarana je dva puta. Prvi put su je 15. prosinca 1888. godine zajedno otvorili dr. Gajo Bulat, tadašnji splitski narodnjački gradonačelnik sa svojim suradnicima i dr. Antonio Bajamonti, inicijator podizanja Fontane i predstavnik prinosnika. Drugi put je svečano otvorenje organizirano 4. listopada 1890. godine. Tada je uređenje Fontane, čiju su gradnju sufinancirali brojni Splićani, konačno dovršeno.

- Ova obljetnica je i prigoda da se prisjetimo povijesnog konteksta u kojem je ona napravljena te da se prisjetimo njenog umjetničkog značaja i važnosti za grad jer ona je u biti spomenik vodi i obnovi Dioklecijanovog vodovoda nakon gotovo 1500 godina. Obnova spomenika kojeg su sufinancirali brojni Splićani je moralni i civilizacijski čin kojim će se ispraviti ova povijesna nepravda. Obnovom fontane će se ponovno zaokružiti najvrjedniji kompleks 19. stoljeća, kazao je Marijan Čipčić, predsjednik Društva prijatelja kulturne baštine.

Splitski gradonačelnik Andro Krstulović Opara prošle godine je Čipčića imenovao i koordinatorom obnove Monumentalne fontane na Rivi koji nam je objasnio i u kojoj je fazi sama obnova.

- Napravljen je konzervatorski elaborat i zaključen je natječaj za glavni projekt. Sada se ide u izradu glavnog projekta koji bi trebao biti gotov do kraja godine. Što se tiče rokova, teško je sada govoriti o njima i očekivanjima kada će to biti gotovo jer je obnova umjetničkih djela kompleksna, objasnio je Čipčić.

Gradonačelnik Andro Krstulović Opara je istaknuo kako je željeni cilj – treće otvaranje splitske fontane. Tu nema i ne smije biti politike, ovdje se, kako je istaknuo gradonačelnik, radi prvenstveno o ljubavi prema svome gradu i baštini.

Uništena baština

- Vraćanje fontane je civilizacijsko pitanje, kao i pitanje vraćanja naše baštine koja je uništena nakon Drugog svjetskog rata, u onome vihoru ludila barbarskog uništavanja svega što je drugačije. Neki vele da se ona ne može vjerno obnoviti. Divni Hrvatski dom u Tončićevoj ulici faksimilno obnovili smo na osnovu nekoliko fotografija, a fotografija neprežaljene fontane ima mnogo više od tri. Sa stanovišta struke tu dileme nema – kazao je gradonačelnik.

Glavni konzervator Ministarstva kulture RH, Miljenko Domijan pružio je punu potporu naporima obnove fontane te naglasio kako Split ima izuzetnu povijesnu raznolikost i povijesno naslijeđe po kojem je možda najfascinantniji grad na Mediteranu. U tu sliku, nastavio je glavni konzervator, savršeno se uklapa Monumentalna fontana, jer je voda sastavni dio bogate splitske povijesne i kulturološke baštine.

- Fontana je nestala činom nasilja. Takav čin, s povijesnog i konzervatorskog stajališta, opravdava faksimilnu obnovu. Faksimilskom rekonstrukcijom fontana bi se obnovila u autentičnom materijalu i obliku, za kraj je kazao Domijan.

U Foyeru Hrvatskog narodnog kazališta u četvrtak je svečano obilježena 130. obljetnica drugog svečanog otvaranja Monumentalne fontane, popularno zvane Bajamontuša.

Splitska fontana koja je podignuta kao spomenik obnove Dioklecijanova vodovoda i dolaska tekuće vode u Split otvarana je dva puta. Prvi put su je 15. prosinca 1888. godine zajedno otvorili dr. Gajo Bulat, tadašnji splitski narodnjački gradonačelnik sa svojim suradnicima i dr. Antonio Bajamonti, inicijator podizanja Fontane i predstavnik prinosnika. Drugi put je svečano otvorenje organizirano 4. listopada 1890. godine. Tada je uređenje Fontane, čiju su gradnju sufinancirali brojni Splićani, konačno dovršeno.
