Naravno da su se Splićani kao konj u propanj podigli na (zadnje) noge čuvši i vidjevši vijest kako je u desetom desetljeću svojega trajanja posječena velebna pelegrinka u samoj gradskoj srčici, uza skute HNK Split, na Poljani Tina Ujevića.

Halabuka i šušur najžešći su, jasno, na društvenim mrežama gdje se i inače, preminućem protestâ i javnih aktivizama u našem društvu, odvijaju patetična bugarenja i iskaljuju pravednički bjesovi…

Razlog za pojačani senzibilitet uznemirenih virtualnih prosvjednika ne leži samo u činjenici što je to stablo na tom mjestu starije od sjećanja sad već i najstarijih Splićana; jerbo, pelegrinka iliti koštela, kostela iliti koprvica u kolektivnoj memoriji grada pod Marjanom ima izuzetno simboličko značenje.

Kalete i pjacete, dvore i đardine drevnoga Veloga Varoša i Špinuta, Lušca i Manuša, Dobroga i Skalica, poput dukata na narodnim nošnjama resila su stabla ove u naravi voćke, čije su bobice bile i streljivo za glad u djetinjstvima naših nonotâ i nonâ. I, povrh svega, simbol nad svim simbolima jest i legendarna velovaroška pelegrinka, oko čijeg je debla bila se formirala mularija koja će udariti fundamente najštovanijoj splitskoj svetinji – Hajduku!

U panteonu sveopće splićanistike i mandrilizma pelegrinka je starozavjetni izop, biljka s čijom se grančicom škropi i blagoslivlja…Doista, ma što da se još danas, već sutra ili možda preksutra zasadi na mjestu posječene pelegrinke onkraj Teatra, još zadugo rečeni trg neće biti onaj isti požicijun na koji se sviklo oko Mandrilâ i njihovih redovitih gostiju, premda, ako je ikakva utjeha, sada trg nekako malo više nalikuje na – trg…

Krošnja upokojene pelegrinke dobrim je dijelom dominirala u zračnoj kocki spomenute Poljane Tina Ujevića. Smrt ovoga slavnog stabla, međutim, može biti početak jednoga drugoga života.

Naime, bit će da je ovo jedini trg na svijetu koji nosi ime nekog odličnika iz nacionalne baštine – bilo historiološke ličnosti ili državnika, bilo kojega kulturnjaka ili umjetnika, svejedno – a da se na tom toponimu ne nalazi kakvo spomeničko obilježje dotičnika: kip, bista ili makar reljef u trajnom materijalu!

Na Poljani Tina Ujevića nema – Tina Ujevića… I, da bi kuriozitet bio bizarniji, većina građana Splita, i Dalmatinaca općenito, rečenu pjacetu zove po bivšem njezinom imenu – Cankareva poljana. Možemo li uopće zamisliti da igdje u Italiji, recimo, na lokalitetu Piazza Garibaldi ili Piazza Verdi nema na njoj i podignutog spomenika oslovljenim talijanskim sinovima?

Prošao sam cijelu Italiju i, sasvim sigurno, u svakom iole većem gradu nalaze se istoimeni trgovi i brončani ili kameni kipovi s figurom čovjeka po kojem isti nose imena. Drugi naš domaći paradoks je, a to je sad već splitska urbana endemičnost, što Trg braće Radić u Splitu svi zovemo Voćni trg…

Pa nam ni to nije bilo dosta, nego je na njemu još i spomenik – Marku Maruliću. Hajdemo opet zamišljati: može li se negdje u Njemačkoj, na središtu trga koji nosi ime po Ludwigu van Beethovenu, nalaziti spomenik Johannu Wolfgangu von Goetheu? Ne može, naravno i dakako… A propos spomenika Tinu Ujeviću u Splitu, kad smo već na Poljani Tina Ujevića, to se pitanje već dosad toliko puta povuklo, ali ništa.

I sâm sam u više navrata pisao o toj problematici na ovim istim stranicama Novine, ukazujući na fakt kako je doista začuđujuće što drugi grad po veličini u Hrvatskoj nema spomen-obilježje podignuto u čast najvećem nacionalnom pjesniku?!

Nije neobično što je njegov velebni kip postavljen u središtu Zagreba, Vrgorca, pa i Imotskog; ali, imaju ga čak i Makarska i Lukovdol i Milna na otoku Braču. A Split – "ni da bekne"… Grad u kojem je Ujević godinama živio, napisavši u njemu, ovdje u Splitu, neke među svojim antologijskim stranicama opusa. Ako ništa drugo, iz žrtve pelegrinke s Poljane Tina Ujevića, kroz njezinu žeravu i pepeo neka se poput izgorjelog Feniksa podigne i ostane zavazda među nama – spomenik Tinu Ujeviću!

Naravno da su se Splićani kao konj u propanj podigli na (zadnje) noge čuvši i vidjevši vijest kako je u desetom desetljeću svojega trajanja posječena velebna pelegrinka u samoj gradskoj srčici, uza skute HNK Split, na Poljani Tina Ujevića.

Halabuka i šušur najžešći su, jasno, na društvenim mrežama gdje se i inače, preminućem protestâ i javnih aktivizama u našem društvu, odvijaju patetična bugarenja i iskaljuju pravednički bjesovi…

Razlog za pojačani senzibilitet uznemirenih virtualnih prosvjednika ne leži samo u činjenici što je to stablo na tom mjestu starije od sjećanja sad već i najstarijih Splićana; jerbo, pelegrinka iliti koštela, kostela iliti koprvica u kolektivnoj memoriji grada pod Marjanom ima izuzetno simboličko značenje.

Kalete i pjacete, dvore i đardine drevnoga Veloga Varoša i Špinuta, Lušca i Manuša, Dobroga i Skalica, poput dukata na narodnim nošnjama resila su stabla ove u naravi voćke, čije su bobice bile i streljivo za glad u djetinjstvima naših nonotâ i nonâ. I, povrh svega, simbol nad svim simbolima jest i legendarna velovaroška pelegrinka, oko čijeg je debla bila se formirala mularija koja će udariti fundamente najštovanijoj splitskoj svetinji – Hajduku!

U panteonu sveopće splićanistike i mandrilizma pelegrinka je starozavjetni izop, biljka s čijom se grančicom škropi i blagoslivlja…Doista, ma što da se još danas, već sutra ili možda preksutra zasadi na mjestu posječene pelegrinke onkraj Teatra, još zadugo rečeni trg neće biti onaj isti požicijun na koji se sviklo oko Mandrilâ i njihovih redovitih gostiju, premda, ako je ikakva utjeha, sada trg nekako malo više nalikuje na – trg…

Krošnja upokojene pelegrinke dobrim je dijelom dominirala u zračnoj kocki spomenute Poljane Tina Ujevića. Smrt ovoga slavnog stabla, međutim, može biti početak jednoga drugoga života.

Naime, bit će da je ovo jedini trg na svijetu koji nosi ime nekog odličnika iz nacionalne baštine – bilo historiološke ličnosti ili državnika, bilo kojega kulturnjaka ili umjetnika, svejedno – a da se na tom toponimu ne nalazi kakvo spomeničko obilježje dotičnika: kip, bista ili makar reljef u trajnom materijalu!

Na Poljani Tina Ujevića nema – Tina Ujevića… I, da bi kuriozitet bio bizarniji, većina građana Splita, i Dalmatinaca općenito, rečenu pjacetu zove po bivšem njezinom imenu – Cankareva poljana. Možemo li uopće zamisliti da igdje u Italiji, recimo, na lokalitetu Piazza Garibaldi ili Piazza Verdi nema na njoj i podignutog spomenika oslovljenim talijanskim sinovima?

Prošao sam cijelu Italiju i, sasvim sigurno, u svakom iole većem gradu nalaze se istoimeni trgovi i brončani ili kameni kipovi s figurom čovjeka po kojem isti nose imena. Drugi naš domaći paradoks je, a to je sad već splitska urbana endemičnost, što Trg braće Radić u Splitu svi zovemo Voćni trg…

Pa nam ni to nije bilo dosta, nego je na njemu još i spomenik – Marku Maruliću. Hajdemo opet zamišljati: može li se negdje u Njemačkoj, na središtu trga koji nosi ime po Ludwigu van Beethovenu, nalaziti spomenik Johannu Wolfgangu von Goetheu? Ne može, naravno i dakako… A propos spomenika Tinu Ujeviću u Splitu, kad smo već na Poljani Tina Ujevića, to se pitanje već dosad toliko puta povuklo, ali ništa.

I sâm sam u više navrata pisao o toj problematici na ovim istim stranicama Novine, ukazujući na fakt kako je doista začuđujuće što drugi grad po veličini u Hrvatskoj nema spomen-obilježje podignuto u čast najvećem nacionalnom pjesniku?!

Nije neobično što je njegov velebni kip postavljen u središtu Zagreba, Vrgorca, pa i Imotskog; ali, imaju ga čak i Makarska i Lukovdol i Milna na otoku Braču. A Split – "ni da bekne"… Grad u kojem je Ujević godinama živio, napisavši u njemu, ovdje u Splitu, neke među svojim antologijskim stranicama opusa. Ako ništa drugo, iz žrtve pelegrinke s Poljane Tina Ujevića, kroz njezinu žeravu i pepeo neka se poput izgorjelog Feniksa podigne i ostane zavazda među nama – spomenik Tinu Ujeviću!
