Osamdesete su bile zlatne godine za splitski pothodnik pod usjekom pruge. Nekada kultno mjesto vrvjelo je butigama, kupovale su se tu prve rebatinke, popularne "spitfajerice", prvi topli sendviči jeli su se u "Delte", a još malo starije generacije pamte i Fast food "Poma".

Smještene su u tom kompleksu bile nekada i poznate tvrtke i poduzeća. Jedna od njih je i slovenska aviokompanija "Adria Airways" koja je tu imala poslovnicu. Sve je bilo uredno, čisto, na nivou. Građeno prema minimalističkom dizajnu 80-ih godina prošloga stoljeća. Onako kako je to i zamislio Edo Šegvić, arhitekt koji je osmislio ovaj kompleks. Pothodnik je inače, natkrivenim pješačkim putem, trebao povezivati željeznički kolodvor s Pazarom. Planovi se, jasno nam je, nisu ostvarili.

Naš fotoreporter Vojko Bašić zabilježio je kako taj pothodnik danas izgleda. Tmurno. Zapušteno. Smeće je na svakom koraku.

Barske stolice restorana brze hrane na kojima je mladost nekada jela prve tople i burgere u ovome gradu zjape prazne. Nekoliko ih još pri samom ulazu u pothodnik s Obale kneza Domagoja još uvijek radi, no ni blizu to nije kao prije.

Gdje god se okrenete oči vam "bodu" koje kakvi grafiti išarani po ostakljenim dijelovima poslovnih prostora, dok iz zidova vire razno razni kabeli.

Kao podsjetnik na prošla vremena, stoje reklame i natpisi tvrtki i obrta koji su tu nekada poslovali, a prema prizoru kojega vidimo, većina ih je stavila ključ u bravu.

Pothodnik je danas, nažalost, samo prolazna stanica, na putu do Pazara ili obratno do Autobusnog kolodvora ili Trajektne luke. Rijetko tko više ciljano ide na ovo mjesto. Čak ni rasvjeta više ne radi. A baš je ovaj pothodnik jedna od prvih lokacija s kojima se turisti susreću kad dođu u naš grad.

Nekada nezaobilazno mjesto, a danas sramota grada. U nedavnom razgovoru za 'Slobodnu' arhitekt Šegvić nam je otkrio da je ovaj prostor zaštićen. Iako se društveni život iz njega preselio na druge lokacije, mjesto na kojem su se generacije starijih Splićana zabavljale i odrastale nikako ne bi smjelo izgledati ovako.

Osamdesete su bile zlatne godine za splitski pothodnik pod usjekom pruge. Nekada kultno mjesto vrvjelo je butigama, kupovale su se tu prve rebatinke, popularne "spitfajerice", prvi topli sendviči jeli su se u "Delte", a još malo starije generacije pamte i Fast food "Poma".

Smještene su u tom kompleksu bile nekada i poznate tvrtke i poduzeća. Jedna od njih je i slovenska aviokompanija "Adria Airways" koja je tu imala poslovnicu. Sve je bilo uredno, čisto, na nivou. Građeno prema minimalističkom dizajnu 80-ih godina prošloga stoljeća. Onako kako je to i zamislio Edo Šegvić, arhitekt koji je osmislio ovaj kompleks. Pothodnik je inače, natkrivenim pješačkim putem, trebao povezivati željeznički kolodvor s Pazarom. Planovi se, jasno nam je, nisu ostvarili.

Naš fotoreporter Vojko Bašić zabilježio je kako taj pothodnik danas izgleda. Tmurno. Zapušteno. Smeće je na svakom koraku.

Barske stolice restorana brze hrane na kojima je mladost nekada jela prve tople i burgere u ovome gradu zjape prazne. Nekoliko ih još pri samom ulazu u pothodnik s Obale kneza Domagoja još uvijek radi, no ni blizu to nije kao prije.

Gdje god se okrenete oči vam "bodu" koje kakvi grafiti išarani po ostakljenim dijelovima poslovnih prostora, dok iz zidova vire razno razni kabeli.

Kao podsjetnik na prošla vremena, stoje reklame i natpisi tvrtki i obrta koji su tu nekada poslovali, a prema prizoru kojega vidimo, većina ih je stavila ključ u bravu.

Pothodnik je danas, nažalost, samo prolazna stanica, na putu do Pazara ili obratno do Autobusnog kolodvora ili Trajektne luke. Rijetko tko više ciljano ide na ovo mjesto. Čak ni rasvjeta više ne radi. A baš je ovaj pothodnik jedna od prvih lokacija s kojima se turisti susreću kad dođu u naš grad.

Nekada nezaobilazno mjesto, a danas sramota grada. U nedavnom razgovoru za 'Slobodnu' arhitekt Šegvić nam je otkrio da je ovaj prostor zaštićen. Iako se društveni život iz njega preselio na druge lokacije, mjesto na kojem su se generacije starijih Splićana zabavljale i odrastale nikako ne bi smjelo izgledati ovako.
