Kroničari možda znaju odgovor na pitanje je li u Splitu više ljudi dočekalo Gorana Ivaniševića nakon što je osvojio Wimbledon 2001. ili Franju Tuđmana kad je došao sa Vlakom slobode 1995., ali kako bilo, nakon trijumfa nad Australcem Patrickom Rafterom javnost nije dovodila u pitanje Goranovu želju da izgradi vilu na Mejama, iako je lokacija bila unutar zaštićene park-šume.
Zapravo je pritisak stvorio i sam trofejni tenisač, koji je dramatično prijetio odlaskom u Zagreb jer mu u Splitu ne daju graditi kuću. Kupio je stari objekt na Mejama, a obećao je da će svome gradu pokloniti tenisku akademiju na velikom terenu Duilova, koji je također kupio.
No, kako je "Slobodna" tada razotkrila, bilo je još igrača koji su se namjeravali skrasiti na južnim padinama park-šume. Uspjeh Gorana Ivaniševića trebao je poslužiti kao alibi za izgradnju vila drugim moćnicima koji su se htjeli okoristiti njegovom spektakularnom pobjedom u srcu Londona.
Naime, u sjeni tog projekta su pripremane izmjene GUP-a kojima bi se na tom dijelu Meja dozvolila izgradnja luksuznih stambenih i smještajnih objekata.
Na koncu je taj plan propao, a na Gradskom vijeću je prošla "točkasta" izmjena GUP-a za Goranovu vilu, koju je projektirao njegov rođak Vjekoslav Ivanišević .

Na koncu je ovaj slučaj završio kao skandal, poput izmjene urbanističkih uvjeta za rekonstrukciju nedalekog atelijera Ivana Meštrovića koji je kupio Nadan Vidošević , a kasnije prodao i zaradio milijun eura na građevinskim pravima koja su mu urbanisti dali.
Poput Vidoševića, koji je obećao da će u preuređenom kiparovu atelijeru otvoriti galeriju, a kasnije se doznalo da planira izgraditi stambeni prostor, tako je i s Ivaniševićem pukla bruka.
Vila na Mejama mu je omogućena na osnovu obećanja da će ona biti dom za njega i obitelj, ali čim je izgrađena otišao je živjeti u Zagreb i oglasio da skupo prodaje luksuznu nekretninu.
To nije jedina urbanistička akrobatika slavnog sportaša koji je dobro unovčio sentimente Splićana. Ubrzo je priča o akademiji u kojoj bi podučavao djecu i zaposlio 30-ak radnika pala u zaborav, a Ivanišević se premišljao oko unosnijih stvari.
Tražio je da se njegovoj obitelji dopusti graditi turističke sadržaje na Duilovu, a u zadnjim propalim izmjenama GUP-a pokušali su se izboriti za stambenu izgradnju. Na koncu je veliku parcelu kupila zagrebačka tvrtka "Importanne resort", koja tamo namjerava graditi hotel s pet zvjezdica.
A teniska akademija? Otišla je u Umag, gdje je slavni tenisač djeci držao poduku u "PRO Campu Goran Ivanišević".

Kroničari možda znaju odgovor na pitanje je li u Splitu više ljudi dočekalo Gorana Ivaniševića nakon što je osvojio Wimbledon 2001. ili Franju Tuđmana kad je došao sa Vlakom slobode 1995., ali kako bilo, nakon trijumfa nad Australcem Patrickom Rafterom javnost nije dovodila u pitanje Goranovu želju da izgradi vilu na Mejama, iako je lokacija bila unutar zaštićene park-šume.
Zapravo je pritisak stvorio i sam trofejni tenisač, koji je dramatično prijetio odlaskom u Zagreb jer mu u Splitu ne daju graditi kuću. Kupio je stari objekt na Mejama, a obećao je da će svome gradu pokloniti tenisku akademiju na velikom terenu Duilova, koji je također kupio.
No, kako je "Slobodna" tada razotkrila, bilo je još igrača koji su se namjeravali skrasiti na južnim padinama park-šume. Uspjeh Gorana Ivaniševića trebao je poslužiti kao alibi za izgradnju vila drugim moćnicima koji su se htjeli okoristiti njegovom spektakularnom pobjedom u srcu Londona.
Naime, u sjeni tog projekta su pripremane izmjene GUP-a kojima bi se na tom dijelu Meja dozvolila izgradnja luksuznih stambenih i smještajnih objekata.
Na koncu je taj plan propao, a na Gradskom vijeću je prošla "točkasta" izmjena GUP-a za Goranovu vilu, koju je projektirao njegov rođak Vjekoslav Ivanišević .

Na koncu je ovaj slučaj završio kao skandal, poput izmjene urbanističkih uvjeta za rekonstrukciju nedalekog atelijera Ivana Meštrovića koji je kupio Nadan Vidošević , a kasnije prodao i zaradio milijun eura na građevinskim pravima koja su mu urbanisti dali.
Poput Vidoševića, koji je obećao da će u preuređenom kiparovu atelijeru otvoriti galeriju, a kasnije se doznalo da planira izgraditi stambeni prostor, tako je i s Ivaniševićem pukla bruka.
Vila na Mejama mu je omogućena na osnovu obećanja da će ona biti dom za njega i obitelj, ali čim je izgrađena otišao je živjeti u Zagreb i oglasio da skupo prodaje luksuznu nekretninu.
To nije jedina urbanistička akrobatika slavnog sportaša koji je dobro unovčio sentimente Splićana. Ubrzo je priča o akademiji u kojoj bi podučavao djecu i zaposlio 30-ak radnika pala u zaborav, a Ivanišević se premišljao oko unosnijih stvari.
Tražio je da se njegovoj obitelji dopusti graditi turističke sadržaje na Duilovu, a u zadnjim propalim izmjenama GUP-a pokušali su se izboriti za stambenu izgradnju. Na koncu je veliku parcelu kupila zagrebačka tvrtka "Importanne resort", koja tamo namjerava graditi hotel s pet zvjezdica.
A teniska akademija? Otišla je u Umag, gdje je slavni tenisač djeci držao poduku u "PRO Campu Goran Ivanišević".
