Uklanjanje štandova iz centralnog hodnika Dioklecijanovih podruma na kojima se od sredine pedesetih godina prošlog stoljeća prodaju umjetnine, rukotvorine i sasvim obični suveniri još je jedan potez komunalne politike Ivice Puljka i dogradonačelnika Bojana Ivoševića bez glave i repa.

Pardon, glavu možda i ima, ali baš možda, no rep sigurno nema. Njihova inicijativa neodoljivo podsjeća na uklanjanje štandova iz Hrvojeve ulice i oslobađanja istočnih zidina Palače iz zagrljaja bofl-robe, za što je godinama navijao cijeli civilizirani grad.

I uklonjeno je, ali što onda? Ništa. Hrvojeva stoji izraubana povijesnim krpljenjima, a buža nekakvih arheoloških iskapanja kod Srebrnih vrata služi bacanju smeća i uklanjanju korova omeđena ruzinavom ogradom. A kad se u Banovini već toliko pozivaju na konzervatorske smjernice, onda im treba biti jasno da je i ostavljanje arheološkog nalazišta otkopanim i nezaštićenim također kršenje zakona i propisa.

No, vratimo se Podrumima. Niz štandova na kojima se prodaje koješta, ponajviše uspomena iz Splita i Dalmacije namijenjenih turistima, namjeravaju iseliti. Ali što će tamo umjesto toga useliti – ne znaju. Ponovno.

To je kao da želiš urediti stan i baciš stari namještaj, a onda mjesecima, dapače, godinama stanuješ u praznim prostorijama, koje nisi ni opiturao jer se poput Buridanova magarca ne možeš odlučiti što želiš.

Naravno, za takvu bi odluku, kao i u Hrvojevoj, najpametnije bilo pitati pametnije od sebe. Oformiti nekakav stručni, kreativni tim koji bi dokučio kakva bi sudbina prostora bila najpogodnija. Ali avaj, kad nema pametnijeg od tebe.

Već se može nazrijeti što će biti kad Bojan metlom sve pomete: podrumi će ostati prazni, sanacija i konzervacija - koja je golem, skup i dugotrajan projekt te uključuje ujedno i brojne sanacije privatnih kuća koje leže na Podrumima - ako i počne, trajat će godinama.

Onih 1,3 milijuna eura koji se uprihode od ulaznica nije malo, ali za sveobuhvatnu obnovu nije ni približno dovoljno. A najgore od svega moglo bi biti da se Podrumi zatvore za građane.

Gradski pometači vjerojatno nemaju pojma kako je centralni hodnik pješački nastavak Carda maximusa, najbliža komunikacija s Peristila do Rive kroz Mjedena vrata, a prokopani su u doba Ante Bajamontija sredinom 19. stoljeća, upravo za tu svrhu. Začepiti tu komunikaciju, uz još sumanutiju ideju da se naplaćuje ulaz, značilo bi smrt još jednog dijela Dioklecijanove palače. Turistifikaciju na kvadrat.

Neki vole i sitnice

I baš se tu uklapa priča o onim prodajnim štandovima; uz to što ondje rukotvorine nude obitelji koje godinama žive od toga, čak i predmeti manje vrijednosti, pa i kič-suveniri, davali su nanadoknadivu dinamiku i živost tom prostoru. Pa što onda ako se tamo prodavao i poneki Dioklecijan od gipsa?

Nije mali broj turista koji ne žele umjetnine, nego ih baš zanima neka sitnica, gipsana figurica i magnet za frižider ili majica “na Split”. Umjesto da je u suradnji s umjetničkim udrugama presložena ponuda, pa dio štandova uklonjen, oni “umjetnički vrjedniji” ostavljeni - do fantomske sanacije - brisat će se sve redom, a Podrumi možda i zatvoriti za građane. Adio pameti.

Uklanjanje štandova iz centralnog hodnika Dioklecijanovih podruma na kojima se od sredine pedesetih godina prošlog stoljeća prodaju umjetnine, rukotvorine i sasvim obični suveniri još je jedan potez komunalne politike Ivice Puljka i dogradonačelnika Bojana Ivoševića bez glave i repa.

Pardon, glavu možda i ima, ali baš možda, no rep sigurno nema. Njihova inicijativa neodoljivo podsjeća na uklanjanje štandova iz Hrvojeve ulice i oslobađanja istočnih zidina Palače iz zagrljaja bofl-robe, za što je godinama navijao cijeli civilizirani grad.

I uklonjeno je, ali što onda? Ništa. Hrvojeva stoji izraubana povijesnim krpljenjima, a buža nekakvih arheoloških iskapanja kod Srebrnih vrata služi bacanju smeća i uklanjanju korova omeđena ruzinavom ogradom. A kad se u Banovini već toliko pozivaju na konzervatorske smjernice, onda im treba biti jasno da je i ostavljanje arheološkog nalazišta otkopanim i nezaštićenim također kršenje zakona i propisa.

No, vratimo se Podrumima. Niz štandova na kojima se prodaje koješta, ponajviše uspomena iz Splita i Dalmacije namijenjenih turistima, namjeravaju iseliti. Ali što će tamo umjesto toga useliti – ne znaju. Ponovno.

To je kao da želiš urediti stan i baciš stari namještaj, a onda mjesecima, dapače, godinama stanuješ u praznim prostorijama, koje nisi ni opiturao jer se poput Buridanova magarca ne možeš odlučiti što želiš.

Naravno, za takvu bi odluku, kao i u Hrvojevoj, najpametnije bilo pitati pametnije od sebe. Oformiti nekakav stručni, kreativni tim koji bi dokučio kakva bi sudbina prostora bila najpogodnija. Ali avaj, kad nema pametnijeg od tebe.

Već se može nazrijeti što će biti kad Bojan metlom sve pomete: podrumi će ostati prazni, sanacija i konzervacija - koja je golem, skup i dugotrajan projekt te uključuje ujedno i brojne sanacije privatnih kuća koje leže na Podrumima - ako i počne, trajat će godinama.

Onih 1,3 milijuna eura koji se uprihode od ulaznica nije malo, ali za sveobuhvatnu obnovu nije ni približno dovoljno. A najgore od svega moglo bi biti da se Podrumi zatvore za građane.

Gradski pometači vjerojatno nemaju pojma kako je centralni hodnik pješački nastavak Carda maximusa, najbliža komunikacija s Peristila do Rive kroz Mjedena vrata, a prokopani su u doba Ante Bajamontija sredinom 19. stoljeća, upravo za tu svrhu. Začepiti tu komunikaciju, uz još sumanutiju ideju da se naplaćuje ulaz, značilo bi smrt još jednog dijela Dioklecijanove palače. Turistifikaciju na kvadrat.

Neki vole i sitnice

I baš se tu uklapa priča o onim prodajnim štandovima; uz to što ondje rukotvorine nude obitelji koje godinama žive od toga, čak i predmeti manje vrijednosti, pa i kič-suveniri, davali su nanadoknadivu dinamiku i živost tom prostoru. Pa što onda ako se tamo prodavao i poneki Dioklecijan od gipsa?

Nije mali broj turista koji ne žele umjetnine, nego ih baš zanima neka sitnica, gipsana figurica i magnet za frižider ili majica “na Split”. Umjesto da je u suradnji s umjetničkim udrugama presložena ponuda, pa dio štandova uklonjen, oni “umjetnički vrjedniji” ostavljeni - do fantomske sanacije - brisat će se sve redom, a Podrumi možda i zatvoriti za građane. Adio pameti.
