Ima li smisla graditi tako sadržajima bogati Žnjan, koji će stajati prema sadašnjim procjenama 45 milijuna eura i godinama će se otplaćivati kredit za njega? O, da, ima. Itekako ima. Premda se Žnjan mogao urediti i puno jeftinije, mogao se primjerice zaravnati, urediti parkirališta i par sportskih terena pa nakrcati limenim kafićima.
I opet bi se tamo kupali i i domaći i stranci. Kupali su se i dosad na onako užasnome mjestu, kakav je Žnjan bio od nasipanja 1998. godine. Ambicija prošle gradske vlasti na čelu sa Androm Krstulovićem Oparom i natječajnim pobjednikom arhitektom Antom Kuzmanićem – u ne tako davna doba kad je sve bilo jeftinije – bila je urediti najljepšu i najveću plažu s ove strane Jadrana. I najljepše od svih gradskih kupališta na Mediteranu. S puno zelenila, parkirališta, zabavnih i ugostiteljskih sadržaja, privlačnim dizajnom, kompletnom infrastrukturom...

Zbog čega Split ne bi imao takvu ambiciju? Zašto Žnjan ne bi bio upravo to – najljepša mediteranska gradska plaža?! Zbog čega se takvo pitanje uopće poteže samo kad je riječ o javnim sadržajima, besplatnima za građane? Eto, jer se Splićani i Dalmatinci zaslužuju kupati na najljepšoj gradskoj plaži. Sa svim mogućim sadržajima!
Turistički adut
Zbog čega bi javno uvijek trebalo bit mižerjasto, kao što su mizerne sve ostale splitske plaže. A to je, htjeli-ne htjeli i splitski brend. Split je već sada grad na Mediteranu s najviše plaža – petnaestak kilometara i to svih vela: hoćete li šumovite na sjeveru Marjana ili južni marjanski raj, pješčane na Bačvicama i Firulama, duboke i bistre na Jadranu i Ovčicama, suvremene na budućem Žnjanu... Stani pa biraj.
Poradi kolektorskog sustava splitske su plaže čistije od mnogih po malim priobalnim i otočnim mjestima gdje se septičke jame kriomice puštaju u more. I premda su većinom jako siromašne komunalnom opremom, posebno što se tiče njihova partera – kupališta su nezaobilazni splitski turistički adut, a važnije od toga jest što su zapravo namijenjena građanima; stranci dođu na par dana i odu, a mi smo tu cijele godine. Žnjan bi trebao biti kruna svih plaža, primjer koji bi trebalo slijediti i na ostalim javnim kupalištima. Inače, koga će nam vraga onako skupa Riva, kad je mogla biti jeftina i pokrivena tucanikom, zbog čega smo upicanili gradsku jezgru kad je bila dobra i onakva pod naslagama skrame i prljavštine, čemu uređivati Pazar i Peškariju kad su onako šporki i jadni bili u nekoj svojoj funkciji. Zbog čega su stari uložili onoliko energije u uređenje Marjana kad je mogao ostati i stara suha ledina?
Ionako ćemo ga platiti
Ako ne težimo najboljem što, očekivano, vrlo često zna biti i najskuplje, ostat ćemo zauvijek u jadnom prosjeku. Pa Žnjan će se jednog dana reklamirati kao najekskluzivnija javna plaža na ovim obalama. S druge strane je pamet gradskih vlasti koje će to znati naplatiti i vraćati onaj dug. Na koncu, upravo svjedočimo hotelskom bumu, pa svaki privatnik će u neki malo ozbiljniji hotel uložiti 40-ak milijuna eura pa naviše, toliko je, na primjer, najavljeno da će se uložiti u Small Mall na Manušu, Dalmatian Tower na Kopilici stajao je 110 milijuna eura, hotel "Marjan" koštat će 100 milijuna eura... I svi vjerojatno probiju prvotni proračun. A sve te investicije nisu za splitske građane, nisu za narod. Pa zbog čega je skupo potrošiti 45 milijuna eura na kupalište za puk? Ionako će ga narod platiti.

Ima li smisla graditi tako sadržajima bogati Žnjan, koji će stajati prema sadašnjim procjenama 45 milijuna eura i godinama će se otplaćivati kredit za njega? O, da, ima. Itekako ima. Premda se Žnjan mogao urediti i puno jeftinije, mogao se primjerice zaravnati, urediti parkirališta i par sportskih terena pa nakrcati limenim kafićima.
I opet bi se tamo kupali i i domaći i stranci. Kupali su se i dosad na onako užasnome mjestu, kakav je Žnjan bio od nasipanja 1998. godine. Ambicija prošle gradske vlasti na čelu sa Androm Krstulovićem Oparom i natječajnim pobjednikom arhitektom Antom Kuzmanićem – u ne tako davna doba kad je sve bilo jeftinije – bila je urediti najljepšu i najveću plažu s ove strane Jadrana. I najljepše od svih gradskih kupališta na Mediteranu. S puno zelenila, parkirališta, zabavnih i ugostiteljskih sadržaja, privlačnim dizajnom, kompletnom infrastrukturom...

Zbog čega Split ne bi imao takvu ambiciju? Zašto Žnjan ne bi bio upravo to – najljepša mediteranska gradska plaža?! Zbog čega se takvo pitanje uopće poteže samo kad je riječ o javnim sadržajima, besplatnima za građane? Eto, jer se Splićani i Dalmatinci zaslužuju kupati na najljepšoj gradskoj plaži. Sa svim mogućim sadržajima!
Turistički adut
Zbog čega bi javno uvijek trebalo bit mižerjasto, kao što su mizerne sve ostale splitske plaže. A to je, htjeli-ne htjeli i splitski brend. Split je već sada grad na Mediteranu s najviše plaža – petnaestak kilometara i to svih vela: hoćete li šumovite na sjeveru Marjana ili južni marjanski raj, pješčane na Bačvicama i Firulama, duboke i bistre na Jadranu i Ovčicama, suvremene na budućem Žnjanu... Stani pa biraj.
Poradi kolektorskog sustava splitske su plaže čistije od mnogih po malim priobalnim i otočnim mjestima gdje se septičke jame kriomice puštaju u more. I premda su većinom jako siromašne komunalnom opremom, posebno što se tiče njihova partera – kupališta su nezaobilazni splitski turistički adut, a važnije od toga jest što su zapravo namijenjena građanima; stranci dođu na par dana i odu, a mi smo tu cijele godine. Žnjan bi trebao biti kruna svih plaža, primjer koji bi trebalo slijediti i na ostalim javnim kupalištima. Inače, koga će nam vraga onako skupa Riva, kad je mogla biti jeftina i pokrivena tucanikom, zbog čega smo upicanili gradsku jezgru kad je bila dobra i onakva pod naslagama skrame i prljavštine, čemu uređivati Pazar i Peškariju kad su onako šporki i jadni bili u nekoj svojoj funkciji. Zbog čega su stari uložili onoliko energije u uređenje Marjana kad je mogao ostati i stara suha ledina?
Ionako ćemo ga platiti
Ako ne težimo najboljem što, očekivano, vrlo često zna biti i najskuplje, ostat ćemo zauvijek u jadnom prosjeku. Pa Žnjan će se jednog dana reklamirati kao najekskluzivnija javna plaža na ovim obalama. S druge strane je pamet gradskih vlasti koje će to znati naplatiti i vraćati onaj dug. Na koncu, upravo svjedočimo hotelskom bumu, pa svaki privatnik će u neki malo ozbiljniji hotel uložiti 40-ak milijuna eura pa naviše, toliko je, na primjer, najavljeno da će se uložiti u Small Mall na Manušu, Dalmatian Tower na Kopilici stajao je 110 milijuna eura, hotel "Marjan" koštat će 100 milijuna eura... I svi vjerojatno probiju prvotni proračun. A sve te investicije nisu za splitske građane, nisu za narod. Pa zbog čega je skupo potrošiti 45 milijuna eura na kupalište za puk? Ionako će ga narod platiti.
