Svježina namirnica ključna je stvar u pripremi hrane, a u nekim slučajevima može se pokazati i kobnom stoga je dobro poznavati trikove za njeno bolje očuvanje. Jaja po tom pitanju mogu biti osobito zeznuta. Čuvate li ih na pogrešan način, lako će vam prirediti neugodno iznenađenje, stoga mnogi pribjegavaju dovitljivim rješenjima. Jedno od njih uključuje ulje.

Možda ste već čuli za ovu metodu, no je li ona zapravo učinkovita? Kratak odgovor je da. Studija Journal of Food Science iz 2011. pokazala je da su jaja premazana uljem nakon pet tjedana ostala bolje očuvana od onih koja nisu prošla takav tretman.

Možda se, također, pitate zašto bi ulje održavalo jaja svježima? Sve se svodi na poroznost. Jaja prirodno dolaze sa zaštitnim omotačem koji zadržava vlagu i bakterije. Ali nije savršen. S vremenom se razgrađuje. Taj proces možda neće zahvatiti cijelu površinu svakog jajeta, no s druge strane, osobito ako je jaje pogrešno uskladišteno, ne možete baš računati na to.

Ulje može pomoći produžiti rok trajanja jaja, a evo kako ćete to osigurati na ispravan način.

Počnite s čistim, svježim jajima. Kartonska kutija iz trgovine bit će sasvim u redu — samo provjerite datum pakiranja za maksimalnu svježinu. Zatim uzmite malo ulja, nije bitno koje vrste, koristite ono što je jeftinije i što vam je pri ruci. Nauljiti jaja je prilično jednostavno. Dovoljno je koristiti rukavice ili krpu no najzgodniji je kuhinjski ubrus koji ćete poslije jednostavno baciti.

Dobro ih nauljite i vratite u kutiju, a zatim spremite u hladnjak i nipošto na vrata, jer im u tom slučaju ni ulje neće puno pomoći da se ne pokvare, osobito ako često otvarate hladnjak.

Jaja po tom pitanju mogu biti osobito zeznuta. Čuvate li ih na pogrešan način, lako će vam prirediti neugodno iznenađenje, stoga mnogi pribjegavaju dovitljivim rješenjima. Možda ste već čuli za ovu metodu, no je li ona zapravo učinkovita? Kratak odgovor je da. Studija Journal of Food Science iz 2011. pokazala je da su jaja premazana uljem nakon pet tjedana ostala bolje očuvana od onih koja nisu prošla takav tretman.

Možda se, također, pitate zašto bi ulje održavalo jaja svježima? Sve se svodi na poroznost. Jaja prirodno dolaze sa zaštitnim omotačem koji zadržava vlagu i bakterije. Ali nije savršen. S vremenom se razgrađuje. Taj proces možda neće zahvatiti cijelu površinu svakog jajeta, no s druge strane, osobito ako je jaje pogrešno uskladišteno, ne možete baš računati na to.

Ulje može pomoći produžiti rok trajanja jaja, a evo kako ćete to osigurati na ispravan način.

Počnite s čistim, svježim jajima. Kartonska kutija iz trgovine bit će sasvim u redu — samo provjerite datum pakiranja za maksimalnu svježinu. Zatim uzmite malo ulja, nije bitno koje vrste, koristite ono što je jeftinije i što vam je pri ruci. Nauljiti jaja je prilično jednostavno. Dovoljno je koristiti rukavice ili krpu no najzgodniji je kuhinjski ubrus koji ćete poslije jednostavno baciti.

Dobro ih nauljite i vratite u kutiju, a zatim spremite u hladnjak i nipošto na vrata, jer im u tom slučaju ni ulje neće puno pomoći da se ne pokvare, osobito ako često otvarate hladnjak.
