Mama dvoje djece koja je umrla od rijetkog raka bit će prva osoba secirana na britanskoj televiziji. Toni Crews (30) iz Kenta ponudila je svoje tijelo za medicinska istraživanja nakon što je izgubila bitku s adenokarcinomom 2020. godine, piše The Sun. 

Adenokarcinom je vrsta raka koji počinje u ovojnici žlijezda unutar organa. Bolest može zahvatiti područja kao što su debelo crijevo, dojke, jednjak, pluća, gušterača ili prostata. Toni je bolest dijagnosticirana 2016. godine nakon što je počela patiti od zamagljenog vida. Tumor joj se razvio u suznoj žlijezdi i rak se proširio po licu, zbog čega je morala ukloniti desno oko.

Odlučila je dopustiti seciranje njezinog tijela u programu "My Dead Body" na Channel 4 koji bi trebao biti emitiran sljedeći mjesec. U dokumentarcu je otkrila put iza donošenja svoje odluke i što joj je ona značila.

- Ovo mi daje mir za budućnost, kazala je Toni u jednom od snimki koje će britanska javnost uskoro gledati.

Čut će se i kako ova majka dvoje djece pripovijeda vlastitu priču iz dnevničkih zapisa i pisama koje je napravila pomoću tehnologije repliciranja glasa.

Profesorica Claire Smith, voditeljica anatomije na Medicinskom fakultetu u Brightonu i Sussexu, vodit će istraživanje na njezinom tijelu, a na rezultati će raditi sa studentima. Unatoč određenom strahu od tako velike publike, profesorica Smith kaže da je prilika za educiranje drugih jednostavno fenomenalna.

- Imali smo veliku privilegiju istražiti putovanje raka kroz nevjerojatnu donaciju koju je dala Toni. Kao voditelji ovog dokumentarca, bili smo u mogućnosti pozvati više od 1000 studenata, uključujući medicinske sestre, bolničare i neuroznanstvenike, koji inače ne bi mogli naučiti o ovom raku koji je jedan od milijun mogućih. Njezina donacije tako će nastaviti s edukacijama medicinskih radnika u godinama koje su pred nama, kazala je Smith.

Urednica Channel 4 Anna Miralis rekla je da film govori "jednu od najintimnijih priča ikada, onu kako se mlada majka hrabro borila za svoj život protiv rijetkog oblika raka".

Mama dvoje djece koja je umrla od rijetkog raka bit će prva osoba secirana na britanskoj televiziji. Toni Crews (30) iz Kenta ponudila je svoje tijelo za medicinska istraživanja nakon što je izgubila bitku s adenokarcinomom 2020. godine, piše The Sun. 

Adenokarcinom je vrsta raka koji počinje u ovojnici žlijezda unutar organa. Bolest može zahvatiti područja kao što su debelo crijevo, dojke, jednjak, pluća, gušterača ili prostata. Toni je bolest dijagnosticirana 2016. godine nakon što je počela patiti od zamagljenog vida. Tumor joj se razvio u suznoj žlijezdi i rak se proširio po licu, zbog čega je morala ukloniti desno oko.

Odlučila je dopustiti seciranje njezinog tijela u programu "My Dead Body" na Channel 4 koji bi trebao biti emitiran sljedeći mjesec. U dokumentarcu je otkrila put iza donošenja svoje odluke i što joj je ona značila.

- Ovo mi daje mir za budućnost, kazala je Toni u jednom od snimki koje će britanska javnost uskoro gledati.

Čut će se i kako ova majka dvoje djece pripovijeda vlastitu priču iz dnevničkih zapisa i pisama koje je napravila pomoću tehnologije repliciranja glasa.

Profesorica Claire Smith, voditeljica anatomije na Medicinskom fakultetu u Brightonu i Sussexu, vodit će istraživanje na njezinom tijelu, a na rezultati će raditi sa studentima. Unatoč određenom strahu od tako velike publike, profesorica Smith kaže da je prilika za educiranje drugih jednostavno fenomenalna.

- Imali smo veliku privilegiju istražiti putovanje raka kroz nevjerojatnu donaciju koju je dala Toni. Kao voditelji ovog dokumentarca, bili smo u mogućnosti pozvati više od 1000 studenata, uključujući medicinske sestre, bolničare i neuroznanstvenike, koji inače ne bi mogli naučiti o ovom raku koji je jedan od milijun mogućih. Njezina donacije tako će nastaviti s edukacijama medicinskih radnika u godinama koje su pred nama, kazala je Smith.

Mama dvoje djece koja je umrla od rijetkog raka bit će prva osoba secirana na britanskoj televiziji. Toni Crews (30) iz Kenta ponudila je svoje tijelo za medicinska istraživanja nakon što je izgubila bitku s adenokarcinomom 2020. godine, piše The Sun. 

Adenokarcinom je vrsta raka koji počinje u ovojnici žlijezda unutar organa. Bolest može zahvatiti područja kao što su debelo crijevo, dojke, jednjak, pluća, gušterača ili prostata. Toni je bolest dijagnosticirana 2016. godine nakon što je počela patiti od zamagljenog vida. Tumor joj se razvio u suznoj žlijezdi i rak se proširio po licu, zbog čega je morala ukloniti desno oko.

Odlučila je dopustiti seciranje njezinog tijela u programu "My Dead Body" na Channel 4 koji bi trebao biti emitiran sljedeći mjesec. U...
