Samantha Crosbie, 32-godišnja majka troje djece tragično je preminula pet tjedana nakon rođenja svog najmlađeg djeteta zbog krvnog ugruška koji je mogao biti spriječen na vrijeme.

Pomoćna medicinska sestra za mentalno zdravlje, Samantha Crosbie, 9. veljače 2020. godine je nakon duge i bolne trudnoće rodila zdravu djevojčicu Betty. Nažalost, postoji samo jedna fotografija Samanthe i njezino troje djece, jer je ona iznenadno preminula 16. ožujka 2020. godine, piše Dailymail.

Samantha se toga dana onesvijestila u svom domu u Red Hillu, dok su njezin suprug Paul Crosbie i njihovo dvoje djece, petogodišnja Stanley i devetogodišnji Evelyn bili u kinu.

Samantha i Paul su početkom 2019. saznali da očekuju još jedno dijete, Betty. Iako je par bio presretan zbog nadolazeće prinove, uvijek vedra Samantha imala je jako tešku trudnoću. Borila se s intenzivnim bolovima u zdjeličnom pojasu, zbog čega je imala poteškoće s bilo kojom vrstom kretanja. Bolovi su tijekom vremena postajali sve jači, zbog čega je Samantha većinu vremena provodila u kući. Međutim, nakon poroda su bolovi u kuku prošli, a onda joj je ponovno pozlilo.

Dok je gubila svijest, Samantha je razgovarala na telefon sa svojom majkom, Jane Parker, koja je kćeri pozvala hitnu pomoć čim je shvatila da nešto nije u redu. Samantha je preminula sljedeći dan, a testovi su pokazali da je pretrpjela plućnu emboliju - začepljenu krvnu žilu u plućima i srcu, koja se javlja kada se krvni ugrušak odvoji i putuje do pluća.

- Nazvala sam Samanthu ujutro, dok je bila u trgovačkom centru s Betty, tražeći moj poklon za Majčin dan. Razgovor smo nastavile i kada je stigla kući, a Samantha je odjednom počela pričati besmislice, nakon čega je utihnula, rekla je njezina majka.

Jane je odmah u panici pozvala hitnu pomoć, a zatim je uzrujana pokušavala kontaktirati Paula, koji je još uvijek bio u kinu s djecom. Samantha je hitno odvezena u bolnicu, gdje je otkriveno da ima velike krvne ugruške u plućima i srcu. Liječnici su je sljedeća 24 sata pokušavali spasiti, ali bezuspješno, piše Dailymail.

- Bilo je poražavajuće. Sve se promijenilo tog dana. Slomilo mi se srce, priznala je Jane, koja je dvije godine nakon kćerine tragične smrti organizirala memorijalni festival u selu Walton-on-the-hill.

- Željela sam organizirati zabavan dan kojim ću proslaviti njezin život. Svi su tamo imali narukvice sa Samanthinim imenom, djeca su puštala balone za nju i svi su pili njezino omiljeno piće - dijetalnu kolu. Tijekom festivala se slušala njezina omiljena grupu, Spice Girls, ali i zvuk Samanthina smijeha - što je bilo jako emotivno, opisala je Jane festival.

- To što se Samantha devet mjeseci nije mogla kretati, bio je znak. Da je shvatila da će biti izložena riziku od krvnog ugruška, sigurna sam da sve bilo drugačije. Od trenutka kada žena zatrudni pa sve do njezinog poroda, trebali bismo stalno razgovarati o mogućim komplikacijama i pobrinuti se da ih je svjesna - jer bi joj to moglo spasiti život, poručila je majka tragično preminule za kraj.

Profesor Beverley Hunt, jedan od vodećih stručnjaka za trombozu i stečene poremećaje krvarenja, rekao je:

- Plućna embolija nastaje kada krvni ugrušak, obično iz vena nogu, također poznat kao duboka venska tromboza, pukne i putuje do pluća. Trudnice su tada izložene povećanom riziku od plućne embolije, a iako je rijedak, to je vodeći uzrok smrti žena u trudnoći i nakon poroda. Tijekom trudnoće ženina krv postaje ljepljivija, a ova ljepljivost se smiruje otprilike šest tjedana nakon poroda. Ako se kod žena koje su sklonije grušanju krvi na vrijeme koristi prevencija s malim dozama heparina, tada se rizik od komplikacija može smanjiti. Kod Samanthe se se nažalost nije dogodilo. Iako se ovo možda ne može klasificirati kao ‘uobičajena‘ komplikacija od trudnoće, slučajevi poput njenog naglašavaju koliko je bitna edukacija o riziku od zgrušavanja krvi za trudnice i rodilje.

Samantha Crosbie, 32-godišnja majka troje djece tragično je preminula pet tjedana nakon rođenja svog najmlađeg djeteta zbog krvnog ugruška koji je mogao biti spriječen na vrijeme.

Pomoćna medicinska sestra za mentalno zdravlje, Samantha Crosbie, 9. veljače 2020. godine je nakon duge i bolne trudnoće rodila zdravu djevojčicu Betty. Nažalost, postoji samo jedna fotografija Samanthe i njezino troje djece, jer je ona iznenadno preminula 16. ožujka 2020. godine, piše Dailymail.

Samantha se toga dana onesvijestila u svom domu u Red Hillu, dok su njezin suprug Paul Crosbie i njihovo dvoje djece, petogodišnja Stanley i devetogodišnji Evelyn bili u kinu.

Samantha i Paul su početkom 2019. saznali da očekuju još jedno dijete, Betty. Iako je par bio presretan zbog nadolazeće prinove, uvijek vedra Samantha imala je jako tešku trudnoću. Borila se s intenzivnim bolovima u zdjeličnom pojasu, zbog čega je imala poteškoće s bilo kojom vrstom kretanja. Bolovi su tijekom vremena postajali sve jači, zbog čega je Samantha većinu vremena provodila u kući. Međutim, nakon poroda su bolovi u kuku prošli, a onda joj je ponovno pozlilo.

Dok je gubila svijest, Samantha je razgovarala na telefon sa svojom majkom, Jane Parker, koja je kćeri pozvala hitnu pomoć čim je shvatila da nešto nije u redu. Samantha je preminula sljedeći dan, a testovi su pokazali da je pretrpjela plućnu emboliju - začepljenu krvnu žilu u plućima i srcu, koja se javlja kada se krvni ugrušak odvoji i putuje do pluća.

- Nazvala sam Samanthu ujutro, dok je bila u trgovačkom centru s Betty, tražeći moj poklon za Majčin dan. Razgovor smo nastavile i kada je stigla kući, a Samantha je odjednom počela pričati besmislice, nakon čega je utihnula, rekla je njezina majka.

Jane je odmah u panici pozvala hitnu pomoć, a zatim je uzrujana pokušavala kontaktirati Paula, koji je još uvijek bio u kinu s djecom. Samantha je hitno odvezena u bolnicu, gdje je otkriveno da ima velike krvne ugruške u plućima i srcu. Liječnici su je sljedeća 24 sata pokušavali spasiti, ali bezuspješno, piše Dailymail.

- Bilo je poražavajuće. Sve se promijenilo tog dana. Slomilo mi se srce, priznala je Jane, koja je dvije godine nakon kćerine tragične smrti organizirala memorijalni festival u selu Walton-on-the-hill.

- Željela sam organizirati zabavan dan kojim ću proslaviti njezin život. Svi su tamo imali narukvice sa Samanthinim imenom, djeca su puštala balone za nju i svi su pili njezino omiljeno piće - dijetalnu kolu. Tijekom festivala se slušala njezina omiljena grupu, Spice Girls, ali i zvuk Samanthina smijeha - što je bilo jako emotivno, opisala je Jane festival.

- To što se Samantha devet mjeseci nije mogla kretati, bio je znak. Da je shvatila da će biti izložena riziku od krvnog ugruška, sigurna sam da sve bilo drugačije. Od trenutka kada žena zatrudni pa sve do njezinog poroda, trebali bismo stalno razgovarati o mogućim komplikacijama i pobrinuti se da ih je svjesna - jer bi joj to moglo spasiti život, poručila je majka tragično preminule za kraj.

Profesor Beverley Hunt, jedan od vodećih stručnjaka za trombozu i stečene poremećaje krvarenja, rekao je:

- Plućna embolija nastaje kada krvni ugrušak, obično iz vena nogu, također poznat kao duboka venska tromboza, pukne i putuje do pluća. Trudnice su tada izložene povećanom riziku od plućne embolije, a iako je rijedak, to je vodeći uzrok smrti žena u trudnoći i nakon poroda. Tijekom trudnoće ženina krv postaje ljepljivija, a ova ljepljivost se smiruje otprilike šest tjedana nakon poroda. Ako se kod žena koje su sklonije grušanju krvi na vrijeme koristi prevencija s malim dozama heparina, tada se rizik od komplikacija može smanjiti. Kod Samanthe se se nažalost nije dogodilo. Iako se ovo možda ne može klasificirati kao ‘uobičajena‘ komplikacija od trudnoće, slučajevi poput njenog naglašavaju koliko je bitna edukacija o riziku od zgrušavanja krvi za trudnice i rodilje.
