Sve češće na Instagramu i Facebooku primjećujemo kako su poznati muškarci nalakirali jedan nokat. Chris Hemsworth, Michael Klim, Anthony Selemidis, Zac Efron, Tyler Blackburn samo su neki od njih. No ovoga puta nije riječ o nekom novom trendu. Baš suprotno, poanta je itekako važna. Već treću godinu za redom u listopadu traje kampanja pod nazivom 'Polished Man', a ideja je nastala u nevladinoj organizaciji YGAP. Njihov cilj je podići  svijest o nasilju nad djecom, a znak da podržavate kampanju jest jedan nalakirani nokat na ruci.

Cijela priča započela je kad se Elliot Costello, aktivist organizacije koja pomaže siromašnim ljudima po svijetu,  vratio iz Kambodže gdje je upoznao jednu curicu po imenu Thea s kojom se sprijateljio. Radili su svakakve stvari zajedno koje je djevojčica poželjela, a jedna od njih bila je i lakiranje noktiju. On bi njoj nalakirao sve nokte, a ona njemu jedan. Budući da su provodili puno vremena skupa, Elliot je saznao da je njezin život jako težak te da djevojčica gladuje i živi u neimaštini.

Saznao je da je bila i seksualno zlostavljana. Kad je došao trenutak da Elliot pođe kući, obećao joj je kako će nokat koji mu je nalakirala ostaviti takvim kako bi ga to sjećalo na nju i bol koju je prošla.
Kad se vratio pokrenuo je akciju 'Polished man' kojom motivira muškarce da nalakiraju jedan nokat na rukama i drže ga takvim tjedan dana. 

-U 96 posto slučajeva seksualni zlostavljači djece su muškarci. Nalakirani nokti neće umanjiti svakodnevnu tugu koju ta djeca osjećaju i strahove koje proživljavaju, ali možda pokrenu neke stvari, možda se uloži novac u projekte kojima bi se nekako pomoglo toj djeci. Ova akcija je podrška i sjećanje na one čiji glas nitko ne čuje, objasnio je Costello.

Sve češće na Instagramu i Facebooku primjećujemo kako su poznati muškarci nalakirali jedan nokat. Chris Hemsworth, Michael Klim, Anthony Selemidis, Zac Efron, Tyler Blackburn samo su neki od njih. No ovoga puta nije riječ o nekom novom trendu. Baš suprotno, poanta je itekako važna. Već treću godinu za redom u listopadu traje kampanja pod nazivom 'Polished Man', a ideja je nastala u nevladinoj organizaciji YGAP. Njihov cilj je podići  svijest o nasilju nad djecom, a znak da podržavate kampanju jest jedan nalakirani nokat na ruci.

Cijela priča započela je kad se Elliot Costello, aktivist organizacije koja pomaže siromašnim ljudima po svijetu,  vratio iz Kambodže gdje je upoznao jednu curicu po imenu Thea s kojom se sprijateljio. Radili su svakakve stvari zajedno koje je djevojčica poželjela, a jedna od njih bila je i lakiranje noktiju. On bi njoj nalakirao sve nokte, a ona njemu jedan. Budući da su provodili puno vremena skupa, Elliot je saznao da je njezin život jako težak te da djevojčica gladuje i živi u neimaštini.

Saznao je da je bila i seksualno zlostavljana. Kad je došao trenutak da Elliot pođe kući, obećao joj je kako će nokat koji mu je nalakirala ostaviti takvim kako bi ga to sjećalo na nju i bol koju je prošla.
Kad se vratio pokrenuo je akciju 'Polished man' kojom motivira muškarce da nalakiraju jedan nokat na rukama i drže ga takvim tjedan dana. 

-U 96 posto slučajeva seksualni zlostavljači djece su muškarci. Nalakirani nokti neće umanjiti svakodnevnu tugu koju ta djeca osjećaju i strahove koje proživljavaju, ali možda pokrenu neke stvari, možda se uloži novac u projekte kojima bi se nekako pomoglo toj djeci. Ova akcija je podrška i sjećanje na one čiji glas nitko ne čuje, objasnio je Costello.
