Svi koji se bune što u svojim uredima i drugim radnim prostorima nemaju priručnu kuhinju u kojoj bi mogli podgrijati ili pripremiti neke jednostavne obroke, ugrijati mlijeko, zakuhati vodu, spremiti nešto u hladnjak..., možda bi ipak trebali dvaput promisliti.

Naime, osim prljavog posuđa, prolivene kave i pokvarenih namirnica, što je sve uobičajena pojava u takvim kuhinjama, puno ozbiljniji problem je ona nevidljiva prljavština koja predstavlja opasnost za zdravlje.

Znanstvenici koji su uzeli brisove u kuhinjama u četiri radna prostora, od ureda do gradilišta, pronašli su mnoštvo bakterija, gljivica i mikroba, piše Daily Mail.

Pronađeni mikroorganizmi mogu izazvati blage trbušne probleme do bolesti koje mogu ugroziti život, a najviše ih se nakuplja na ručkama hladnjaka, aparatima za kavu i tipkama mikrovalnih pećnica.

Istraživanje je naručila organizacija Champs Public Health Collaborative, koju vodi devet direktora javnozdravstvenih ustanova Cheshirea i Merseysidea i pokriva oko dva i pol milijuna stanovnika na sjeverozapadu Engleske.

U okviru istraživanja mikrobiolozi su analizirali briseve uzete na jedanaest područja u kuhinjama četiri različita radna prostora. Mjesta koja se najčešće dodiruju, što nije nikakvo iznenađenje, imaju najveću ulogu u širenju bakterija.

Escherichia coli, bakterija koja je sastavni dio naših crijeva no određeni sojevi mogu izazvati mokraćne i crijevne infekcije, ali i dovesti do vrlo teških oblika bolesti s mogućim fatalnim ishodom, pronađena je na aparatima za kavu, ručkama na vratima hladnjaka i kontrolnim panelima mikrovalnih pećnica.

​Pseudomonas bakterija, koja može uzrokovati respiratorne, urinarne i krvne infekcije, također je pronađena na istim mjestima, dok je bakterija Klebsiella pronađena na svim kuhinjskim predmetima.

Premda živimo u stalnom kontaktu s bakterijama i gljivicama, neke od njih predstavljaju opasnost za osobe oslabljenog imuniteta, a najjednostavniji obrambeni mehanizam je redovito pranje ruku, naročito nakon odlaska u toalet, te prije i nakon jela.

Rezultati ovog istraživanja pokazali su kako su zajednički kuhinjski prostori puni različitih vrsta bakterija od kojih se mnoge nalaze u fekalijama. To je, naravno, jako neugodna pomisao i jasan pokazatelj da ljudi jednostavno ne peru ruke dovoljno često i temeljito nakon odlaska na toalet, a potom pripremaju čaj, kavu ili neki obrok.

To znači da za neku osobu podložniju infekcijama, ako dotakne istu površinu nakon osobe koja nije temeljito oprala ruke, ili ih nije uopće oprala, postoji veći rizik za obolijevanje. Jednostavan način za maksimalno smanjenje rizika je da svi održavaju odgovarajuću higijenu ruku.

Svi koji se bune što u svojim uredima i drugim radnim prostorima nemaju priručnu kuhinju u kojoj bi mogli podgrijati ili pripremiti neke jednostavne obroke, ugrijati mlijeko, zakuhati vodu, spremiti nešto u hladnjak..., možda bi ipak trebali dvaput promisliti.

Naime, osim prljavog posuđa, prolivene kave i pokvarenih namirnica, što je sve uobičajena pojava u takvim kuhinjama, puno ozbiljniji problem je ona nevidljiva prljavština koja predstavlja opasnost za zdravlje.

Znanstvenici koji su uzeli brisove u kuhinjama u četiri radna prostora, od ureda do gradilišta, pronašli su mnoštvo bakterija, gljivica i mikroba, piše Daily Mail.

Pronađeni mikroorganizmi mogu izazvati blage trbušne probleme do bolesti koje mogu ugroziti život, a najviše ih se nakuplja na ručkama hladnjaka, aparatima za kavu i tipkama mikrovalnih pećnica.

Istraživanje je naručila organizacija Champs Public Health Collaborative, koju vodi devet direktora javnozdravstvenih ustanova Cheshirea i Merseysidea i pokriva oko dva i pol milijuna stanovnika na sjeverozapadu Engleske.

U okviru istraživanja mikrobiolozi su analizirali briseve uzete na jedanaest područja u kuhinjama četiri različita radna prostora. Mjesta koja se najčešće dodiruju, što nije nikakvo iznenađenje, imaju najveću ulogu u širenju bakterija.

Escherichia coli, bakterija koja je sastavni dio naših crijeva no određeni sojevi mogu izazvati mokraćne i crijevne infekcije, ali i dovesti do vrlo teških oblika bolesti s mogućim fatalnim ishodom, pronađena je na aparatima za kavu, ručkama na vratima hladnjaka i kontrolnim panelima mikrovalnih pećnica.

​Pseudomonas bakterija, koja može uzrokovati respiratorne, urinarne i krvne infekcije, također je pronađena na istim mjestima, dok je bakterija Klebsiella pronađena na svim kuhinjskim predmetima.

Premda živimo u stalnom kontaktu s bakterijama i gljivicama, neke od njih predstavljaju opasnost za osobe oslabljenog imuniteta, a najjednostavniji obrambeni mehanizam je redovito pranje ruku, naročito nakon odlaska u toalet, te prije i nakon jela.

Rezultati ovog istraživanja pokazali su kako su zajednički kuhinjski prostori puni različitih vrsta bakterija od kojih se mnoge nalaze u fekalijama. To je, naravno, jako neugodna pomisao i jasan pokazatelj da ljudi jednostavno ne peru ruke dovoljno često i temeljito nakon odlaska na toalet, a potom pripremaju čaj, kavu ili neki obrok.

To znači da za neku osobu podložniju infekcijama, ako dotakne istu površinu nakon osobe koja nije temeljito oprala ruke, ili ih nije uopće oprala, postoji veći rizik za obolijevanje. Jednostavan način za maksimalno smanjenje rizika je da svi održavaju odgovarajuću higijenu ruku.
