Gledam ovih dana seriju "Mrs. America" o Phyllis Schlafly, koja se 70-ih godina usprotivila uvođenju amandmana o spolnoj i rodnoj ravnopravnosti žena. Postavila se kao "zaštitnica američke obitelji", ali vrijedi pogledati čime se sve poslužila kako bi kućanice nadigla protiv feministkinja.

Ta užasna Schlafly, glumi je Cate Blanchett, bila je, nažalost, inteligentna, znala se smješkati pred kamerama i odabrati pojmove kojima osvaja slušateljstvo. Pritom vješto izmišlja ono što sve čeka američke obitelji dozvole li ustavnu ravnopravnost muškaraca i žena, poput zajedničkih zahoda i prisilnog vojačenja žena. Točno je znala da joj je potrebna što veća prisutnost u medijima, a mediji su zagrizli kao glamci. Jbga, emisije su bile zanimljivije s njom i tako to krene.

Nervirajmo se zajedno

Da je ta Schlafly kojim slučajem tada imala društvene mreže, postigla bi tupost krda u nanosekundi. Prisvojila je pojmove brak, djeca i majčinstvo, lažno optužujući protivnice da bi sve to uništile. A sve zato što ih nitko ne želi oženiti, he he... Kovanica "ružne feministkinje" održala se do danas. Zapravo istinski prezirem tu ženu.

Ta žena je čak zgodna, a lukavim smiješkom neodoljivo podsjeća na svoje nasljednice koje nikad nisu iščezle, dapače, izbile su na površinu desetljećima kasnije kao korov. Ona je staložena pred kamerama, ne da se omesti, ima uvijek spreman odgovor, mada potpuno pogrešan. Nije li nam to jezivo poznato?

- Mooooraš to pogledat! Iako ti moran reć da se užasno nerviram dok gledam, ali pliiiz, nervirajmo se zajedno – navukla me prijateljica Jase na tu seriju.

Inače sam odgledala nekoliko izvrsnih serija između dva Božića jer stvarnost je zbilja ružna. No trebala sam nastaviti s fikcijama poput serije "Damin gambit" o imaginarnoj šahistici Beth Harmon koja ruši jednog po jednog protivnika, naravno, muškog. I u toj seriji je muška dominacija stvarna, ali mala talentirana Beth ih je srušila sve do jednog.

Baš šah je i meni kao klinki bio zabavan. Igrala sam ga uglavnom s muškima. Koji je to gušt bio kad bi ih matirala!

Ne sjećam se da sam ikad htjela priznati razliku među spolovima, bolje rečeno od kad znam za sebe ponašam se kao da je nema. Imala sam i franje, i slije, čak i nunčake, vježbala sam uporno i razbijala laktove, zašto i ja ne bih bila mali Bruce Lee. Vještine hrvanja i fizička snaga pomogle su mi već kod prvog pokušaja drpanja u razredu. Kao odrasla sam čak čula od nekih muškaraca da su im ruke same nekontrolirano letile prema djevojčicama, da su to bili hormoni, ali i još luđe – da smo mi to same htjele. Majke ti?!

Moja Schlafly

Kad smo kod majki, ona mi je bila najteži protivnik. Ona je bila moja Schlafly, kao i većini žena moje generacije.

- Operi, pometi, posloži... Žensko si, kako ćeš danas-sutra kad se udaš? Nemoj da ko vidi kad si došla doma, sramota je, ipak si ti žensko. Ispleti nešto, to tvoje vršnjakinje rade. Sram te bilo, igraš nogomet s njima kao kakva dilberica... Ajde doma! Dok ne središ sobu, ne izlazi iz nje!

Danas mi govori da me je samo htjela pripremiti za život. Pa, dijelom je u pravu, jer prljavo suđe jest život, ali ne eksluzivno ženski. Ali i ja sam se s nunčakama i balunom pripremala za taj život, a ona to nije shvaćala. U njezino doba barem nije bilo tako uvredljive razlike u plaćama, žene su se taman izborile da napuste špakere i odu u poduzeća. Znala sam da i ja jednom želim raditi i zarađivati, da ću to postići ako budem učila i da je život natjecanje. Nisam ni slutila koliko ću još muških šah-matova morati primiti, ali samo zato što oni imaju više vremena od mene za vježbanje. I zato što su table podešene za njihovo bolje otvaranje i da će mi njihovo najveće priznanje biti tek kad se ja budem otvarala prst po prst u rodilištu. Ma mrš' tamo stoko muška, bio mi je moto, sve dok i nas ovdje, pola stoljeća nakon jezive Mrs. America, nije zaskočila jedna žena. E to je, drage moje, naš najveći poraz.

I tako, umjesto da uz pomoć ekrana pobjegnem od korone, potresa, smrti, od južine zbog koje se osjećam kao pokisli flanelasti lancun na sušilu, ja se, hvala Jase, razjarila i maštam da razbijam ovaj svijet.

Gledam ovih dana seriju "Mrs. America" o Phyllis Schlafly, koja se 70-ih godina usprotivila uvođenju amandmana o spolnoj i rodnoj ravnopravnosti žena. Postavila se kao "zaštitnica američke obitelji", ali vrijedi pogledati čime se sve poslužila kako bi kućanice nadigla protiv feministkinja.

Ta užasna Schlafly, glumi je Cate Blanchett, bila je, nažalost, inteligentna, znala se smješkati pred kamerama i odabrati pojmove kojima osvaja slušateljstvo. Pritom vješto izmišlja ono što sve čeka američke obitelji dozvole li ustavnu ravnopravnost muškaraca i žena, poput zajedničkih zahoda i prisilnog vojačenja žena. Točno je znala da joj je potrebna što veća prisutnost u medijima, a mediji su zagrizli kao glamci. Jbga, emisije su bile zanimljivije s njom i tako to krene.

Nervirajmo se zajedno

Da je ta Schlafly kojim slučajem tada imala društvene mreže, postigla bi tupost krda u nanosekundi. Prisvojila je pojmove brak, djeca i majčinstvo, lažno optužujući protivnice da bi sve to uništile. A sve zato što ih nitko ne želi oženiti, he he... Kovanica "ružne feministkinje" održala se do danas. Zapravo istinski prezirem tu ženu.

Ta žena je čak zgodna, a lukavim smiješkom neodoljivo podsjeća na svoje nasljednice koje nikad nisu iščezle, dapače, izbile su na površinu desetljećima kasnije kao korov. Ona je staložena pred kamerama, ne da se omesti, ima uvijek spreman odgovor, mada potpuno pogrešan. Nije li nam to jezivo poznato?

- Mooooraš to pogledat! Iako ti moran reć da se užasno nerviram dok gledam, ali pliiiz, nervirajmo se zajedno – navukla me prijateljica Jase na tu seriju.

Inače sam odgledala nekoliko izvrsnih serija između dva Božića jer stvarnost je zbilja ružna. No trebala sam nastaviti s fikcijama poput serije "Damin gambit" o imaginarnoj šahistici Beth Harmon koja ruši jednog po jednog protivnika, naravno, muškog. I u toj seriji je muška dominacija stvarna, ali mala talentirana Beth ih je srušila sve do jednog.

Baš šah je i meni kao klinki bio zabavan. Igrala sam ga uglavnom s muškima. Koji je to gušt bio kad bi ih matirala!

Ne sjećam se da sam ikad htjela priznati razliku među spolovima, bolje rečeno od kad znam za sebe ponašam se kao da je nema. Imala sam i franje, i slije, čak i nunčake, vježbala sam uporno i razbijala laktove, zašto i ja ne bih bila mali Bruce Lee. Vještine hrvanja i fizička snaga pomogle su mi već kod prvog pokušaja drpanja u razredu. Kao odrasla sam čak čula od nekih muškaraca da su im ruke same nekontrolirano letile prema djevojčicama, da su to bili hormoni, ali i još luđe – da smo mi to same htjele. Majke ti?!

Moja Schlafly

Kad smo kod majki, ona mi je bila najteži protivnik. Ona je bila moja Schlafly, kao i većini žena moje generacije.

- Operi, pometi, posloži... Žensko si, kako ćeš danas-sutra kad se udaš? Nemoj da ko vidi kad si došla doma, sramota je, ipak si ti žensko. Ispleti nešto, to tvoje vršnjakinje rade. Sram te bilo, igraš nogomet s njima kao kakva dilberica... Ajde doma! Dok ne središ sobu, ne izlazi iz nje!

Danas mi govori da me je samo htjela pripremiti za život. Pa, dijelom je u pravu, jer prljavo suđe jest život, ali ne eksluzivno ženski. Ali i ja sam se s nunčakama i balunom pripremala za taj život, a ona to nije shvaćala. U njezino doba barem nije bilo tako uvredljive razlike u plaćama, žene su se taman izborile da napuste špakere i odu u poduzeća. Znala sam da i ja jednom želim raditi i zarađivati, da ću to postići ako budem učila i da je život natjecanje. Nisam ni slutila koliko ću još muških šah-matova morati primiti, ali samo zato što oni imaju više vremena od mene za vježbanje. I zato što su table podešene za njihovo bolje otvaranje i da će mi njihovo najveće priznanje biti tek kad se ja budem otvarala prst po prst u rodilištu. Ma mrš' tamo stoko muška, bio mi je moto, sve dok i nas ovdje, pola stoljeća nakon jezive Mrs. America, nije zaskočila jedna žena. E to je, drage moje, naš najveći poraz.

I tako, umjesto da uz pomoć ekrana pobjegnem od korone, potresa, smrti, od južine zbog koje se osjećam kao pokisli flanelasti lancun na sušilu, ja se, hvala Jase, razjarila i maštam da razbijam ovaj svijet.

Gledam ovih dana seriju "Mrs. America" o Phyllis Schlafly, koja se 70-ih godina usprotivila uvođenju amandmana o spolnoj i rodnoj ravnopravnosti žena. Postavila se kao "zaštitnica američke obitelji", ali vrijedi pogledati čime se sve poslužila kako bi kućanice nadigla protiv feministkinja.

Ta užasna Schlafly, glumi je Cate Blanchett, bila je, nažalost, inteligentna, znala se smješkati pred kamerama i odabrati pojmove kojima osvaja slušateljstvo. Pritom vješto izmišlja ono što sve čeka američke obitelji dozvole li ustavnu ravnopravnost muškaraca i žena, poput zajedničkih zahoda i prisilnog vojačenja žena. Točno je znala da joj je potrebna što veća prisutnost u medijima, a mediji su zagrizli kao glamci. Jbga, emisije su bile zanimljivije s njom i tako to...
