Istraživači sa Sveučilišta George Washington (GW) odlučili su provjeriti ono što nazivaju hipotezom o baki, prenosi Real Simple.

Kada je Keith Crandall, doktor znanosti i profesor biostatistike i bioinformatike na GW bio dijete, njegova baka je usmjeravala djecu u obitelji da “trljaju iza ušiju, između prstiju i u pupku”, objasnio je.

Ove upute čine osnovu onoga što Crandall i ostatak istraživačkog tima nazivaju “Hipoteza bake”: da ljudi ne peru ova tri dijela tijela jednako često kao što to čine s kožom na, primjerice, rukama i nogama.

Kao rezultat toga, ovi dijelovi tijela mogu sadržavati različite vrste bakterija, uključujući neke koje bi mogle negativno utjecati na zdravlje osobe, piše N1.

Nakon analize kolekcije uzoraka brisa kože prikupljenih od 129 studenata, istraživači su otkrili da su mikrobi iz područja koja se obično redovito peru, u ovom slučaju podlaktice i potkoljenice, bili raznolikiji i potencijalno sastavni dio zdravijeg mikrobioma od uzoraka iza ušiju, između prstiju i unutar pupka.

U istraživanju objavljenom u rujnu, Crandall i njegovi kolege objašnjavaju da kada se vlažna i masna područja tijela poput ovih ne peru dovoljno često, to pruža određenim neželjenim mikrobima priliku da promijene cijeli mikrobiom i potencijalno rezultiraju stanjima kože poput ekcema ili akni.

Ako ne perete iza ušiju redovito, mogli biste primijetiti da koža na tom području postaje osjetljiva ili nadražena te na kraju razviti ekcem.

Koža između prstiju ne proizvodi toliko ulja kao drugi dijelovi tijela, a posljedice nedostatka pranja dovode do nakupljanja mrtve stanice kože i prljavštine, a u nekim slučajevima i do gljivičnih infekcija noktiju.

Osim što je taman i vlažan, pupak također ima višestruke naborane dijelove kože, stvarajući idealno okruženje za nakupljanje mrtvih stanica kože, znoja i drugih mikroorganizama poput bakterija i gljivica.

Autori također napominju da, s obzirom na relativno malu veličinu uzorka, potrebna su daljnja istraživanja kako bi se dobio precizniji uvid u to kako pranje ili nedostatak pranja različitih dijelova tijela može utjecati na naše zdravlje.

Istraživači sa Sveučilišta George Washington (GW) odlučili su provjeriti ono što nazivaju hipotezom o baki, prenosi Real Simple.

Kada je Keith Crandall, doktor znanosti i profesor biostatistike i bioinformatike na GW bio dijete, njegova baka je usmjeravala djecu u obitelji da “trljaju iza ušiju, između prstiju i u pupku”, objasnio je.

Ove upute čine osnovu onoga što Crandall i ostatak istraživačkog tima nazivaju “Hipoteza bake”: da ljudi ne peru ova tri dijela tijela jednako često kao što to čine s kožom na, primjerice, rukama i nogama.

Kao rezultat toga, ovi dijelovi tijela mogu sadržavati različite vrste bakterija, uključujući neke koje bi mogle negativno utjecati na zdravlje osobe, piše N1.

Nakon analize kolekcije uzoraka brisa kože prikupljenih od 129 studenata, istraživači su otkrili da su mikrobi iz područja koja se obično redovito peru, u ovom slučaju podlaktice i potkoljenice, bili raznolikiji i potencijalno sastavni dio zdravijeg mikrobioma od uzoraka iza ušiju, između prstiju i unutar pupka.

Istraživači sa Sveučilišta George Washington (GW) odlučili su provjeriti ono što nazivaju hipotezom o baki, prenosi Real Simple.

Kada je Keith Crandall, doktor znanosti i profesor biostatistike i bioinformatike na GW bio dijete, njegova baka je usmjeravala djecu u obitelji da “trljaju iza ušiju, između prstiju i u pupku”, objasnio je.

Ove upute čine osnovu onoga što Crandall i ostatak istraživačkog tima nazivaju “Hipoteza bake”: da ljudi ne peru ova tri dijela tijela jednako često kao što to čine s kožom na, primjerice, rukama i nogama.

Kao rezultat toga, ovi dijelovi tijela mogu sadržavati različite vrste bakterija, uključujući neke koje bi mogle negativno utjecati na zdravlje osobe, piše N1.

Nakon analize kolekcije uzoraka brisa kože prikupljenih od 129 studenata, istraživači su otkrili da su mikrobi iz područja koja se obično redovito peru, u ovom slučaju podlaktice i potkoljenice, bili raznolikiji i potencijalno sastavni dio zdravijeg mikrobioma od uzoraka iza ušiju, između prstiju i unutar pupka.
