Kratkovidnost je pojava koju karakteriziraju teškoće i nemogućnost gledanja dalekih predmeta, pri čemu dolazi do naprezanja, škiljenja, zamagljenoga vida, pa i glavobolja.
Kratkovidnost je povezana i sa stilom života, prije se ona ona dovodila u vezu s povećanim čitanjem knjiga ili slabim osvjetljenjem, donedavno s radom na računalima, a sada s pametnim telefonima.
Prema podacima Svjetske zdravstvene organizacije, 2010. godine gotovo dvije milijarde imalo je kratkovidnost, a očekuje se da će se do 2030. godine taj broj povećati na 3,3 milijarde.
Što više vremena provodimo pred ekranom, to je veća vjerojatnost da ćemo imati problema s vidom. Posebno zabrinjava raširena uporaba elektroničkih uređaja među djecom.
Simptomi kod mladih
"Tijekom posljednjih nekoliko desetljeća, prevalencija kratkovidnosti je porasla, što se podudara s povećanom upotrebom digitalnih uređaja. Povezanost između vremena provedenog pred ekranom i razvoja kratkovidnosti kod djece i tinejdžera potkrijepljena je sve većim brojem istraživanja, s većim utjecajem na djecu mlađu od tri godine, što je kritična faza razvoja vida. Djeca mogu imati problema s gledanjem informacija na bijelim pločama ili projiciranim platnima u učionici. Mlađa djeca možda neće izričito izraziti poteškoće s vidom, ali mogu pokazivati ponašanja kao što su uporno škiljenje, dojam da nisu svjesna udaljenih predmeta, pretjerano treptanje, često trljanje očiju ili sjedenje blizu televizora", kaže liječnica Siddharth Kesarwni iz očne klinike iz Mumbaija, piše Indiatimes, prenosi N1.

Nedavno istraživanje koje je obuhvatilo opsežnu analizu više od 3000 studija koje su istraživale korelaciju između korištenja pametnih uređaja i kratkovidnosti donijelo je značajno otkriće: produljena izloženost zaslonima pametnih uređaja, poput mobilnih telefona, povezana je s približno 30 posto većim rizikom od razvoja kratkovidnosti. Kada se pretjerano korištenje računala kombiniralo s dugim vremenom provedenim ispred ekrana, rizik se popeo na otprilike 80 posto.
O tome svakako trebaju voditi računa i osobe kojima je posao vezan za zaslone mobitela i pametnih telefona, a svakako roditelji koji bi trebali paziti koliko vremena djeca provode na njima te da odmaraju oči i bave se drugim aktivnostima.

Kratkovidnost je pojava koju karakteriziraju teškoće i nemogućnost gledanja dalekih predmeta, pri čemu dolazi do naprezanja, škiljenja, zamagljenoga vida, pa i glavobolja.
Kratkovidnost je povezana i sa stilom života, prije se ona ona dovodila u vezu s povećanim čitanjem knjiga ili slabim osvjetljenjem, donedavno s radom na računalima, a sada s pametnim telefonima.
Prema podacima Svjetske zdravstvene organizacije, 2010. godine gotovo dvije milijarde imalo je kratkovidnost, a očekuje se da će se do 2030. godine taj broj povećati na 3,3 milijarde.
Što više vremena provodimo pred ekranom, to je veća vjerojatnost da ćemo imati problema s vidom. Posebno zabrinjava raširena uporaba elektroničkih uređaja među djecom.
Simptomi kod mladih
"Tijekom posljednjih nekoliko desetljeća, prevalencija kratkovidnosti je porasla, što se podudara s povećanom upotrebom digitalnih uređaja. Povezanost između vremena provedenog pred ekranom i razvoja kratkovidnosti kod djece i tinejdžera potkrijepljena je sve većim brojem istraživanja, s većim utjecajem na djecu mlađu od tri godine, što je kritična faza razvoja vida. Djeca mogu imati problema s gledanjem informacija na bijelim pločama ili projiciranim platnima u učionici. Mlađa djeca možda neće izričito izraziti poteškoće s vidom, ali mogu pokazivati ponašanja kao što su uporno škiljenje, dojam da nisu svjesna udaljenih predmeta, pretjerano treptanje, često trljanje očiju ili sjedenje blizu televizora", kaže liječnica Siddharth Kesarwni iz očne klinike iz Mumbaija, piše Indiatimes, prenosi N1.

Nedavno istraživanje koje je obuhvatilo opsežnu analizu više od 3000 studija koje su istraživale korelaciju između korištenja pametnih uređaja i kratkovidnosti donijelo je značajno otkriće: produljena izloženost zaslonima pametnih uređaja, poput mobilnih telefona, povezana je s približno 30 posto većim rizikom od razvoja kratkovidnosti. Kada se pretjerano korištenje računala kombiniralo s dugim vremenom provedenim ispred ekrana, rizik se popeo na otprilike 80 posto.
O tome svakako trebaju voditi računa i osobe kojima je posao vezan za zaslone mobitela i pametnih telefona, a svakako roditelji koji bi trebali paziti koliko vremena djeca provode na njima te da odmaraju oči i bave se drugim aktivnostima.
