Podvarijanta omikrona BA.5 sve više postaje dominantni soj virusa i uzrokuje značajan porast novih slučajeva izbjegavajući prethodni imunitet od infekcije i cijepljenja. Ima tri ključne mutacije u proteinu šiljaka koje je čine bržom u sposobnosti da nas zarazi i izbjegne imunosnu obranu. Tako je sve više onih koji su ponovno oboljeli od covid-19 samo tri, četiri mjeseca nakon prethodne infekcije. Uz to, prošlo je već dosta vremena od kada su mnogi primili treću dozu cjepiva, pa iz dana u dan svjedočimo porastu oboljelih, piše Živim.

Podaci o zaraženima BA.5 vjerojatno nisu točni

Stručnjaci za viruse upozoravaju da su slučajevi BA.5 vjerojatno mnogo veći nego što znamo zahvaljujući testiranju kod kuće. Naime, brzi testovi kod kuće pomažu ljudima da brže saznaju svoj status i da se se čim prije izoliraju, ali loša je strana što se ne evidentiraju u sustavu. Neka istraživanja procjenjuju da su slučajevi tri puta veći od ukupnog broja koji vidimo, u nekim zemljama su viši čak sedam ili osam puta.

Kako bi se smanjio rizik od zaraze, virusolozi savjetuju ako možete izbjegavajte mjesta koja imaju veći rizik.

1) Unutarnji barovi i restorani

Prepuni zatvoreni restorani i barovi visoko su rizični za širenje virusa, čak i ako bi ljudi nosili maske.Vani je sigurnije nego unutra. Ako ste u zatvorenom prostoru s malom skupinom ljudi, otvorite prozore, udahnite malo svježeg zraka. I u vrijeme kada se slučajevi povećavaju, nosite visokokvalitetnu masku u prostorima gdje je mnogo ljudi.

2) Teretane

Znamo da se koronavirus lako širi kapljicama i česticama aerosola, što teretane čini rizičnijim mjestima od nekih drugih. Dok energično vježbamo, izbacujemo puno čestica u zrak. Podvarijanta omikrona BA.5 sve više postaje dominantni soj virusa i uzrokuje značajan porast novih slučajeva izbjegavajući prethodni imunitet od infekcije i cijepljenja. Ima tri ključne mutacije u proteinu šiljaka koje je čine bržom u sposobnosti da nas zarazi i izbjegne imunosnu obranu. Tako je sve više onih koji su ponovno oboljeli od covid-19 samo tri, četiri mjeseca nakon prethodne infekcije. Uz to, prošlo je već dosta vremena od kada su mnogi primili treću dozu cjepiva, pa iz dana u dan svjedočimo porastu oboljelih, piše Živim.

Podaci o zaraženima BA.5 vjerojatno nisu točni

Stručnjaci za viruse upozoravaju da su slučajevi BA.5 vjerojatno mnogo veći nego što znamo zahvaljujući testiranju kod kuće. Naime, brzi testovi kod kuće pomažu ljudima da brže saznaju svoj status i da se se čim prije izoliraju, ali loša je strana što se ne evidentiraju u sustavu. Neka istraživanja procjenjuju da su slučajevi tri puta veći od ukupnog broja koji vidimo, u nekim zemljama su viši čak sedam ili osam puta.

Kako bi se smanjio rizik od zaraze, virusolozi savjetuju ako možete izbjegavajte mjesta koja imaju veći rizik.

1) Unutarnji barovi i restorani

Prepuni zatvoreni restorani i barovi visoko su rizični za širenje virusa, čak i ako bi ljudi nosili maske.Vani je sigurnije nego unutra. Ako ste u zatvorenom prostoru s malom skupinom ljudi, otvorite prozore, udahnite malo svježeg zraka. I u vrijeme kada se slučajevi povećavaju, nosite visokokvalitetnu masku u prostorima gdje je mnogo ljudi.

2) Teretane

Znamo da se koronavirus lako širi kapljicama i česticama aerosola, što teretane čini rizičnijim mjestima od nekih drugih. Dok energično vježbamo, izbacujemo puno čestica u zrak. Varijantu BA.5 lako je prenijeti, a u malom prostoru gdje je mnogo ljudi koji vježbaju rizik zaraze je značajno viši. Ako možete tijekom ljeta odlučite se za vježbanje na otvorenom.

3) Zatvoreni brodovi, kruzeri i turističke atrakcije u zatvorenom

Stručnjaci američkog Centra za kontrolu bolesti (CDC) kažu da ako bi netko dizajnirao najučinkovitiji stroj za širenje kovida među 2. 000 ljudi, ne bi izgledao mnogo drugačije od kruzera. Također smanjite ulazak u mjesta gdje se okuplja mnogo turista, a na zatvorenom su. Ako ne možete stavite kvalitetnu masku.

4) Bolnice
