Postoji više od 120 različitih vrsta tumora mozga što znači da se simptomi jako razlikuju. Rano prepoznavanje uvelike pospješuje liječenje, a neki od njih su specifični ovisno o tome na kojoj se lokaciji u mozgu nalaze. Međutim, postoji i nekoliko neuobičajenijih simptoma koje možda i ne biste povezali s tumorom. To su manje poznati znakovi pa je važno provjeriti svaki simptom koji uočite, piše Živim.

Promjena osobnosti

Ako se razvije u frontalnom režnju, području koje kontrolira emocije, osobnost i ponašanje, možete se čak početi čudno ponašati. Tumor na hipofizi također može uzrokovati promjene osobnosti poput depresije i anksioznosti.

- Tumori mozga u blizini hipofize mogu uzrokovati neke od najčudnijih simptoma, poput ekstremnih promjena osobnosti, težine i fizičke veličine ili kašnjenja u pubertetu. Razlog je taj što tumor može utjecati na razinu hormona koje proizvodi hipofiza - kaže za Daily Mail dr. Karen Noble iz britanske Organizacije za istraživanja mozga.

Nagli rast

Tumori koji utječu na hipofizu također mogu, u rijetkim slučajevima, uzrokovati ekstremne nalete rasta kod odraslih i kod djece zbog pojačanog stvaranja hormona pod utjecajem tumora.

- Ovaj neobičan porast veličine može uzrokovati rast ruku, stopala ili čak donje čeljusti kod odraslih - kažu stručnjaci.

Zaboravljivost

Iako se pojava zaboravljivosti, poput zaboraviti zaključati vrata ili isključiti pećnicu, najčešće povezuju s ranim znakovima demencije, mogu biti i znak tumora na mozgu.

- Budući da pohranjivanje i prisjećanje sjećanja obavljaju mnoga područja mozga, teško je odrediti kako će različiti tumori mozga utjecati na pamćenje ljudi.

No vjerojatnije je da će se zaborav češće doživjeti ako je tumor u frontalnim ili drugim dijelovima mozga gdje se pohranjuju sjećanja. Pad mentalnih sposobnosti i zbunjenosti također su simptomi tumora u ovom dijelu mozga.

Mutan vid

Zamagljeni vid, vid koji se pogoršava i popravlja čak i kada nosite naočale, postajete nespretniji jer ne vidite dobro ili se zabijate u predmete i osobe također bi mogli biti znakovi tumora na mozgu osobito u slučajevima kada tumor pritišće optički živac. Neke osobe s tumorom na mozgu rekle su i da su osjetili dvoslike i da im se vid zamagli prilikom kašljanja, kihanja ili čak samo naginjanja tijela.

Halucinirajući glasovi

Slušne halucinacije mogu biti uzrokovane tumorima mozga koji su i kancerogeni i benigni.

Ove halucinacije mogu se dogoditi ako se tumor nalazi u sljepoočnom režnju, dijelu mozga koji obrađuje zvuk, razumije jezik i kodira pamćenje. To se također može dogoditi ako je tumor pritisnut uz živac koji šalje signale od uha do mozga. Ako je tumor na ovom mjestu moguće je i da će se pojaviti poteškoće sa sluhom i govorom.

Ipak, najveći broj tumora na mozgu prate uobičajeniji simptomi uzrokovani povećanjem intrakranijalnog pritiska. Tako će se najčešće tumor mozga otkriti kada se oboljeli javi liječniku zbog glavobolje, epileptičkog napadaja, promjena u pamćenju, vrtoglavica, mučnina, povraćanja ili motoričkih problema.

Kako nastaju tumori na mozgu

Kao i druge vrste raka i tumori mozga nastaju abnormalnom diobom stanica, a ovisno o samoj prirodi rasta stanica dijelimo ih na dobroćudne i zloćudne. Dok su dobroćudni tumori mozga u najvećem broju slučajeva potpuno izlječivi, prognoza kod zloćudnih tumora ovisi o njihovoj invazivnosti i brzini rasta. Osim o vrsti tumora, prognoza ovisi i o drugim faktorima, kao što su dob oboljele osobe, lokacija, oblik i veličina tumora i s tim povezana mogućnost operativnog liječenja.

Pretilost i zračenje rizični faktori

Tumori mozga najčešće nemaju poznati uzrok, a samim time ne postoji ni mogućnost prevencije. Češći su u starijih osoba, iako su neke vrste specifične za dječju dob. Pretilost može povećati rizik od nastanka meningeoma, jednog od oblika tumora mozga koji je najčešće dobroćudan. Također, ionizirajuće zračenje (rentgen, CT) može uzrokovati tumor mozga, no procjenjuje se da je to slučaj u manje od jedan posto oboljelih. Rizik je veći i u osoba koje imaju slučajeve tumora mozga kod bliskih srodnika te kod određenih genetskih oboljenja. U Hrvatskoj se godišnje u prosjeku dijagnosticira oko 450 slučajeva tumora na mozgu, piše Živim.

Postoji više od 120 različitih vrsta tumora mozga što znači da se simptomi jako razlikuju. Rano prepoznavanje uvelike pospješuje liječenje, a neki od njih su specifični ovisno o tome na kojoj se lokaciji u mozgu nalaze. Međutim, postoji i nekoliko neuobičajenijih simptoma koje možda i ne biste povezali s tumorom. To su manje poznati znakovi pa je važno provjeriti svaki simptom koji uočite, piše Živim.

Promjena osobnosti

Ako se razvije u frontalnom režnju, području koje kontrolira emocije, osobnost i ponašanje, možete se čak početi čudno ponašati. Tumor na hipofizi također može uzrokovati promjene osobnosti poput depresije i anksioznosti.

- Tumori mozga u blizini hipofize mogu uzrokovati neke od najčudnijih simptoma, poput ekstremnih promjena osobnosti, težine i fizičke veličine ili kašnjenja u pubertetu. Razlog je taj što tumor može utjecati na razinu hormona koje proizvodi hipofiza - kaže za Daily Mail dr. Karen Noble iz britanske Organizacije za istraživanja mozga.

Nagli rast

Tumori koji utječu na hipofizu također mogu, u rijetkim slučajevima, uzrokovati ekstremne nalete rasta kod odraslih i kod djece zbog pojačanog stvaranja hormona pod utjecajem tumora.

- Ovaj neobičan porast veličine može uzrokovati rast ruku, stopala ili čak donje čeljusti kod odraslih - kažu stručnjaci.

Zaboravljivost

Iako se pojava zaboravljivosti, poput zaboraviti zaključati vrata ili isključiti pećnicu, najčešće povezuju s ranim znakovima demencije, mogu biti i znak tumora na mozgu.

- Budući da pohranjivanje i prisjećanje sjećanja obavljaju mnoga područja mozga, teško je odrediti kako će različiti tumori mozga utjecati na pamćenje ljudi.

No vjerojatnije je da će se zaborav češće doživjeti ako je tumor u frontalnim ili drugim dijelovima mozga gdje se pohranjuju sjećanja. Pad mentalnih sposobnosti i zbunjenosti također su simptomi tumora u ovom dijelu mozga.

Mutan vid

Zamagljeni vid, vid koji se pogoršava i popravlja čak i kada nosite naočale, postajete nespretniji jer ne vidite dobro ili se zabijate u predmete i osobe također bi mogli biti znakovi tumora na mozgu osobito u slučajevima kada tumor pritišće optički živac. Neke osobe s tumorom na mozgu rekle su i da su osjetili dvoslike i da im se vid zamagli prilikom kašljanja, kihanja ili čak samo naginjanja tijela.

Halucinirajući glasovi

Slušne halucinacije mogu biti uzrokovane tumorima mozga koji su i kancerogeni i benigni.

Ove halucinacije mogu se dogoditi ako se tumor nalazi u sljepoočnom režnju, dijelu mozga koji obrađuje zvuk, razumije jezik i kodira pamćenje. To se također može dogoditi ako je tumor pritisnut uz živac koji šalje signale od uha do mozga. Ako je tumor na ovom mjestu moguće je i da će se pojaviti poteškoće sa sluhom i govorom.

Ipak, najveći broj tumora na mozgu prate uobičajeniji simptomi uzrokovani povećanjem intrakranijalnog pritiska. Tako će se najčešće tumor mozga otkriti kada se oboljeli javi liječniku zbog glavobolje, epileptičkog napadaja, promjena u pamćenju, vrtoglavica, mučnina, povraćanja ili motoričkih problema.

Kako nastaju tumori na mozgu

Kao i druge vrste raka i tumori mozga nastaju abnormalnom diobom stanica, a ovisno o samoj prirodi rasta stanica dijelimo ih na dobroćudne i zloćudne. Dok su dobroćudni tumori mozga u najvećem broju slučajeva potpuno izlječivi, prognoza kod zloćudnih tumora ovisi o njihovoj invazivnosti i brzini rasta. Osim o vrsti tumora, prognoza ovisi i o drugim faktorima, kao što su dob oboljele osobe, lokacija, oblik i veličina tumora i s tim povezana mogućnost operativnog liječenja.

Pretilost i zračenje rizični faktori

Tumori mozga najčešće nemaju poznati uzrok, a samim time ne postoji ni mogućnost prevencije. Češći su u starijih osoba, iako su neke vrste specifične za dječju dob. Pretilost može povećati rizik od nastanka meningeoma, jednog od oblika tumora mozga koji je najčešće dobroćudan. Također, ionizirajuće zračenje (rentgen, CT) može uzrokovati tumor mozga, no procjenjuje se da je to slučaj u manje od jedan posto oboljelih. Rizik je veći i u osoba koje imaju slučajeve tumora mozga kod bliskih srodnika te kod određenih genetskih oboljenja. U Hrvatskoj se godišnje u prosjeku dijagnosticira oko 450 slučajeva tumora na mozgu, piše Živim.
