Dok je delta varijanta koronavirusa s ozbiljnim simptomima pokorila svijet, znanstvenici otkrivaju razlike između nje i omikron varijante. Stručnjaci su primijetili neke razlike u razini ozbiljnosti i prenosivosti te simptomima između ove dvije varijante, piše Times of India, prenosi Dnevnik.hr.
S obzirom na to da novi soj ima više od 30 mutacija u šiljastom proteinu, stručnjaci vjeruju da može izbjeći imunitet stečen cjepivom, no dosad su u svijetu zabilježeni samo blagi simptomi. Svjetska zdravstvena organizacija (WHO) navodi da će bolest biti blaža u odnosu na delta varijantu.

Prema kojim simptomima se onda može posumnjati na zarazu omikronom? Slično ranijim varijantama, jedan od simpotima su umor i iscrpljenost.
Južnoafrička liječnica Angelique Coetzee kaže da su joj se pacijenti zaraženi omikronom požalili na grebanje grla, ali ne i na grlobolju, što je, kaže, neobično.
Jedan od znakova zaraze novim sojem koronavirusa jest blaga do umjerena groznica praćena slabijom temperaturom. Dok je groznica kod prethodnih sojeva imala dugotrajan učinak na pacijente, trenutačna varijanta izaziva blagu tjelesnu temperaturu, koja se sama po sebi poboljšava, pojašnjava doktorica Coetzee.

Još neke simptome otkrio je liječnik opće prakse Unben Pillay, piše Times of India. Ističe da bi jedan od simptoma moglo biti noćno znojenje, čak i kada pacijenti spavaju na nižim temperaturama, a posteljina i odjeća budu im potpuno mokri. To bi, prema riječima liječnika, moglo biti popraćeno drugim simptomima, uključujući snažne bolove u cijelom tijelu.
Ipak, primijećen je i jedan simptom koji se pojavljuje kod svih varijanti COVID-a, a riječ je o suhom kašlju.
Najzanimljivije je pak ono po čemu se omikron razlikuje od prethodno otkrivenih varijanti. Vjeruje se da omikron varijanta ne izaziva gubitak mirisa i/ili okusa te dosad nisu zabilježeni slučajevi začepljenog nosa, a oni koji su pogođeni novim sojem nisu se žalili ni na vrlo visoku temperaturu, objavio je Times of India, prenosi Dnevnik.hr.

Dok je delta varijanta koronavirusa s ozbiljnim simptomima pokorila svijet, znanstvenici otkrivaju razlike između nje i omikron varijante. Stručnjaci su primijetili neke razlike u razini ozbiljnosti i prenosivosti te simptomima između ove dvije varijante, piše Times of India, prenosi Dnevnik.hr.
S obzirom na to da novi soj ima više od 30 mutacija u šiljastom proteinu, stručnjaci vjeruju da može izbjeći imunitet stečen cjepivom, no dosad su u svijetu zabilježeni samo blagi simptomi. Svjetska zdravstvena organizacija (WHO) navodi da će bolest biti blaža u odnosu na delta varijantu.

Prema kojim simptomima se onda može posumnjati na zarazu omikronom? Slično ranijim varijantama, jedan od simpotima su umor i iscrpljenost.
Južnoafrička liječnica Angelique Coetzee kaže da su joj se pacijenti zaraženi omikronom požalili na grebanje grla, ali ne i na grlobolju, što je, kaže, neobično.
Jedan od znakova zaraze novim sojem koronavirusa jest blaga do umjerena groznica praćena slabijom temperaturom. Dok je groznica kod prethodnih sojeva imala dugotrajan učinak na pacijente, trenutačna varijanta izaziva blagu tjelesnu temperaturu, koja se sama po sebi poboljšava, pojašnjava doktorica Coetzee.

Još neke simptome otkrio je liječnik opće prakse Unben Pillay, piše Times of India. Ističe da bi jedan od simptoma moglo biti noćno znojenje, čak i kada pacijenti spavaju na nižim temperaturama, a posteljina i odjeća budu im potpuno mokri. To bi, prema riječima liječnika, moglo biti popraćeno drugim simptomima, uključujući snažne bolove u cijelom tijelu.
Ipak, primijećen je i jedan simptom koji se pojavljuje kod svih varijanti COVID-a, a riječ je o suhom kašlju.
Najzanimljivije je pak ono po čemu se omikron razlikuje od prethodno otkrivenih varijanti. Vjeruje se da omikron varijanta ne izaziva gubitak mirisa i/ili okusa te dosad nisu zabilježeni slučajevi začepljenog nosa, a oni koji su pogođeni novim sojem nisu se žalili ni na vrlo visoku temperaturu, objavio je Times of India, prenosi Dnevnik.hr.
