Sredstvo protiv glista u konja i parazitskih crva kod ljudi, ivermektin prema najnovijim istraživanjima ipak ne utječe na vrijeme oporavka od COVID-19, piše Tportal.hr.
Veliko istraživanje objavljeno u časopisu Journal of the American Medical Association pokazalo je da ovo sredstvo ne skraćuje vrijeme oporavka za osobe sa simptomima bolesti, kao što se do tada mislilo. Naime, osobe koje su uzimale ivermektin oporavile su se za 12 dana, dok je onima bez sredstva trebalo 13 dana.
Istraživanje utjecaja Ivermektina na oporavak od COVID-19 vršilo se nad 817 ljudi koji su tri dana pili tablete s ivermektinom i 774 ljudi koji su primali placebo tablete. Unutar skupine koja je primala ovo sredstvo umrla je jedna osoba, a u placebo skupini uopće nije bilo smrtnih slučajeva. Svaka skupina imala je devet hospitaliziranih članova, piše Tportal.hr.
- Među pacijentima s blagim do umjerenim covidom, liječenje ivermektinom, u usporedbi s placebom, nije značajno poboljšalo vrijeme oporavka, tvrdi tim znanstvenika s Medicinskog fakulteta Sveučilišta Duke.

Javnost je za ivermektin doznala na početku pandemije koronavirusa, kada je laboratorijska studija pokazala da lijek usporava replikaciju virusa unutar Petrijeve zdjelice. Zbog ograničenosti sredstava za liječenje koji su tada bili dostupni, skupina konzervativnih liječnika ovo je sredstvo reklamiralo na društvenim mrežama kao lijek za bržu borbu protiv virusa. Istraživanje dr. Pierrea Koryja koje je potvrdilo učinkovitost ivermektina, naknadno je povučeno zbog pogrešnih podataka.
Američka Uprava za hranu i lijekove (FDA) strogo je napomenula ljude da ne uzimaju ivermektin osim ako im je odobren te da se njime mogu predozirati. Dodala je i da se ne smiju uzimati oblici ivermektina pripravljeni za životinje.
- Prvo, lijekovi za životinje često su visoko koncentrirani jer se koriste za velike životinje poput konja i krava, koje teže puno više od nas - do tone ili više. Tako visoke doze mogu biti vrlo toksične za ljude, tvrdila je FDA.
Ivermektin je odobren u SAD-u u obliku tekućine i paste protiv parazita kod životinja. Postoje i verzije ivermektina u tableti koju je FDA odobrila za liječenje ljudi u slučaju parazitskih crva, ušiju ili nekih kožnih bolesti.

Sredstvo protiv glista u konja i parazitskih crva kod ljudi, ivermektin prema najnovijim istraživanjima ipak ne utječe na vrijeme oporavka od COVID-19, piše Tportal.hr.
Veliko istraživanje objavljeno u časopisu Journal of the American Medical Association pokazalo je da ovo sredstvo ne skraćuje vrijeme oporavka za osobe sa simptomima bolesti, kao što se do tada mislilo. Naime, osobe koje su uzimale ivermektin oporavile su se za 12 dana, dok je onima bez sredstva trebalo 13 dana.
Istraživanje utjecaja Ivermektina na oporavak od COVID-19 vršilo se nad 817 ljudi koji su tri dana pili tablete s ivermektinom i 774 ljudi koji su primali placebo tablete. Unutar skupine koja je primala ovo sredstvo umrla je jedna osoba, a u placebo skupini uopće nije bilo smrtnih slučajeva. Svaka skupina imala je devet hospitaliziranih članova, piše Tportal.hr.
- Među pacijentima s blagim do umjerenim covidom, liječenje ivermektinom, u usporedbi s placebom, nije značajno poboljšalo vrijeme oporavka, tvrdi tim znanstvenika s Medicinskog fakulteta Sveučilišta Duke.

Javnost je za ivermektin doznala na početku pandemije koronavirusa, kada je laboratorijska studija pokazala da lijek usporava replikaciju virusa unutar Petrijeve zdjelice. Zbog ograničenosti sredstava za liječenje koji su tada bili dostupni, skupina konzervativnih liječnika ovo je sredstvo reklamiralo na društvenim mrežama kao lijek za bržu borbu protiv virusa. Istraživanje dr. Pierrea Koryja koje je potvrdilo učinkovitost ivermektina, naknadno je povučeno zbog pogrešnih podataka.
Američka Uprava za hranu i lijekove (FDA) strogo je napomenula ljude da ne uzimaju ivermektin osim ako im je odobren te da se njime mogu predozirati. Dodala je i da se ne smiju uzimati oblici ivermektina pripravljeni za životinje.
- Prvo, lijekovi za životinje često su visoko koncentrirani jer se koriste za velike životinje poput konja i krava, koje teže puno više od nas - do tone ili više. Tako visoke doze mogu biti vrlo toksične za ljude, tvrdila je FDA.
Ivermektin je odobren u SAD-u u obliku tekućine i paste protiv parazita kod životinja. Postoje i verzije ivermektina u tableti koju je FDA odobrila za liječenje ljudi u slučaju parazitskih crva, ušiju ili nekih kožnih bolesti.
