Nagli gubitak osjetila njuha, poznat kao anosmija, mogao bi značiti da je osoba "skriveni prijenosnik" koronavirusa, čak i ako nema drugih simptoma, javljaju britanski liječnici, a prenosi Business Insider.

Prema podacima iz Južne Koreje, Kine i Italije, gotovo trećina pacijenata oboljelih od COVIDA-19 prijavila je liječnicima ovaj simptom, objavljuju otorinolaringolozi u spomenutoj studiji. Drugih simptoma nisu imali, no testirani su zbog kontakta sa zaraženima.

Uputili su apel nadležnima da pošalju poruku javnosti, odnosno ljudima koji imaju spomenuti simptom te bi hitno trebali u samoizolaciju. Naročito je tu riječ o mladima, koji mogu biti nositelji zaraze i bez težih simptoma.

"U Južnoj Koreji, gdje su testiranja obavljena na većemu uzorku, imamo 30% pacijenata pozitivnih na koronavirus, a koji imaju simptom gubitka njuha ili okusa, dok su im ostali simptomi blagi, pa čak i zanemarivi", potvrđuju Clare Hopkins i Nirmal Kumar, liječnici koji su napisali studiju.

Potvrđuju i da je ovaj neobični simptom prisutan na većem uzorku oboljelih u Iranu, a napominju i kako njihovi američki kolege, kao i Francuzi i Talijani, zabilježavaju u svojim medicinskim radovima vrlo slične zaključke.

Manjak simptoma kod ovih prijenosnika opasan je upravo zbog njihove zaraznosti - ne znajući, mogu virus prenositi i prije nego pokažu tipične simptome, ako ih uopće i pokažu. Dotad, ukoliko ne poštuju mjere samoizolacije, mogu prenijeti virus većem broju ljudi.

Tipični simptomi zaraze koronavirusom su, podsjećamo, suhi kašalj i visoka temperatura, kao i bol u mišićima, grlu i plućima.

"Mlađi pacijenti ne pokazuju često uobičajene simptome poput kašlja i temperature, no zato se zaraza očituje gubitkom osjetila mirisa i okusa, koji sugeriraju da je virus začepio dišne puteve", tvrdi Kumar.

Svakome tko je primijetio spomenute simptome, preporučuje mjere samoizolacije.

Nagli gubitak osjetila njuha, poznat kao anosmija, mogao bi značiti da je osoba "skriveni prijenosnik" koronavirusa, čak i ako nema drugih simptoma, javljaju britanski liječnici, a prenosi Business Insider.

Prema podacima iz Južne Koreje, Kine i Italije, gotovo trećina pacijenata oboljelih od COVIDA-19 prijavila je liječnicima ovaj simptom, objavljuju otorinolaringolozi u spomenutoj studiji. Drugih simptoma nisu imali, no testirani su zbog kontakta sa zaraženima.

Uputili su apel nadležnima da pošalju poruku javnosti, odnosno ljudima koji imaju spomenuti simptom te bi hitno trebali u samoizolaciju. Naročito je tu riječ o mladima, koji mogu biti nositelji zaraze i bez težih simptoma.

"U Južnoj Koreji, gdje su testiranja obavljena na većemu uzorku, imamo 30% pacijenata pozitivnih na koronavirus, a koji imaju simptom gubitka njuha ili okusa, dok su im ostali simptomi blagi, pa čak i zanemarivi", potvrđuju Clare Hopkins i Nirmal Kumar, liječnici koji su napisali studiju.

Potvrđuju i da je ovaj neobični simptom prisutan na većem uzorku oboljelih u Iranu, a napominju i kako njihovi američki kolege, kao i Francuzi i Talijani, zabilježavaju u svojim medicinskim radovima vrlo slične zaključke.

Manjak simptoma kod ovih prijenosnika opasan je upravo zbog njihove zaraznosti - ne znajući, mogu virus prenositi i prije nego pokažu tipične simptome, ako ih uopće i pokažu. Dotad, ukoliko ne poštuju mjere samoizolacije, mogu prenijeti virus većem broju ljudi.

Tipični simptomi zaraze koronavirusom su, podsjećamo, suhi kašalj i visoka temperatura, kao i bol u mišićima, grlu i plućima.

"Mlađi pacijenti ne pokazuju često uobičajene simptome poput kašlja i temperature, no zato se zaraza očituje gubitkom osjetila mirisa i okusa, koji sugeriraju da je virus začepio dišne puteve", tvrdi Kumar.

Svakome tko je primijetio spomenute simptome, preporučuje mjere samoizolacije.

Prema podacima iz Južne Koreje, Kine i Italije, gotovo trećina pacijenata oboljelih od COVIDA-19 prijavila je liječnicima ovaj simptom, objavljuju otorinolaringolozi u spomenutoj studiji. Drugih simptoma nisu imali, no testirani su zbog kontakta sa zaraženima.

Uputili su apel nadležnima da pošalju poruku javnosti, odnosno ljudima koji imaju spomenuti simptom te bi hitno trebali u samoizolaciju. Naročito je tu riječ o mladima, koji mogu biti nositelji zaraze i bez težih simptoma.
