Opće je poznato koliko kašalj može biti neugodan i koliko remeti ritam života, dnevni, kao i noćni.
On je jedan od najčešćih razloga posjeta liječnicima. Kašalj kod odraslih smatra se kroničnim ako traje duže od osam tjedana.
Različiti su uzroci kroničnoga kašlja, a jedan od najčešćih su godine pušenja cigareta.
Pušači svoj kašalj, koji je ponekad prisutan godinama, a najizraženiji je ujutro uz izbacivanje gustog sekreta, smatraju "normalnim" pratiocem svoje loše navike pušenja i tome ne pridaju važnost i ne savjetuju se s liječnikom.
No, kronični kašalj može biti prvi simptom kronične opstruktivne plućne bolesti (KOPB), koja se najčešće javlja kao posljedica pušenja i jedan je od vodećih uzroka obolijevanja u svijetu. Ako se razvije kronična opstruktivna plućna bolest, koju karakterizira suženje dišnih putova, tada se uz kašalj javljaju otežano disanje, brzo umaranje, loša podnošljivost tjelesnog napora, česta pogoršanja i infekcije dišnih putova, kaže doc. dr. Violeta Kolarov, pulmologinja s Instituta za plućne bolesti Sremska Kamenica, piše Ringeraja.

Osim što pušenje može uzrokovati KOPB, zbog toksičnih tvari i katrana koji se nalaze u duhanskom dimu, konzumacija cigareta je glavni faktor rizika za rak pluća, jednog od vodećih uzroka smrti u svijetu. Dr. Kolarov smatra da je prestanak pušenja najbolji način za smanjenje rizika od KOPB-a i raka pluća.
Prema mišljenju dr. Violete Kolarov, pušači i njima bliski ljudi trebaju obratiti pažnju na ove simptome i javiti se liječniku:

- otežano disanje, osjećaj zviždanja pri disanju

- česte respiratorne infekcije
- pojava krvi u ispljuvku.

Opće je poznato koliko kašalj može biti neugodan i koliko remeti ritam života, dnevni, kao i noćni.
On je jedan od najčešćih razloga posjeta liječnicima. Kašalj kod odraslih smatra se kroničnim ako traje duže od osam tjedana.
Različiti su uzroci kroničnoga kašlja, a jedan od najčešćih su godine pušenja cigareta.
Pušači svoj kašalj, koji je ponekad prisutan godinama, a najizraženiji je ujutro uz izbacivanje gustog sekreta, smatraju "normalnim" pratiocem svoje loše navike pušenja i tome ne pridaju važnost i ne savjetuju se s liječnikom.
No, kronični kašalj može biti prvi simptom kronične opstruktivne plućne bolesti (KOPB), koja se najčešće javlja kao posljedica pušenja i jedan je od vodećih uzroka obolijevanja u svijetu. Ako se razvije kronična opstruktivna plućna bolest, koju karakterizira suženje dišnih putova, tada se uz kašalj javljaju otežano disanje, brzo umaranje, loša podnošljivost tjelesnog napora, česta pogoršanja i infekcije dišnih putova, kaže doc. dr. Violeta Kolarov, pulmologinja s Instituta za plućne bolesti Sremska Kamenica, piše Ringeraja.

Osim što pušenje može uzrokovati KOPB, zbog toksičnih tvari i katrana koji se nalaze u duhanskom dimu, konzumacija cigareta je glavni faktor rizika za rak pluća, jednog od vodećih uzroka smrti u svijetu. Dr. Kolarov smatra da je prestanak pušenja najbolji način za smanjenje rizika od KOPB-a i raka pluća.
Prema mišljenju dr. Violete Kolarov, pušači i njima bliski ljudi trebaju obratiti pažnju na ove simptome i javiti se liječniku:

- kašalj koji traje duže od 8 tjedana, a ponekad i mjesecima i godinama s jutarnjim iskašljavanjem
- kašalj koji mijenja karakter
- otežano disanje, osjećaj zviždanja pri disanju
- loša tolerancija tjelesnog napora
- promuklost
- česte respiratorne infekcije
- pojava krvi u ispljuvku.

Dr. Kolarov u smanjenju i suzbijanju kašlja savjetuje i upotrebu nekih prirodnih proizvoda poput meda i nekih biljaka.
