Gotovo 35.000 žena iz Velike Britanije do 2. rujna prijavilo je nuspojave u obliku poremećenih menstrualnih ciklusa nakon cijepljenja protiv Covida-19 - piše Jutarnji.hr.
Osim neredovitih, prijavile su i bolne menstruacije, a većini žena sve se vratilo u normalu nakon jednog do dva ciklusa. Zabilježeni problemi povezani su s cjepivima Pfizer, AstraZeneca ili Moderna, prenosi Daily Mail.
Ipak, britanski medicinski časopis BMJ ističe kako bi se trebalo provesti još istraživanja kako bi potvrdili poveznicu. Regulatorna agencija MHRA još uvijek nije prihvatila vezu između cjepiva i menstrualnih poremećaja.
Dr. Victoria Male, predavačica reproduktivne imunologije na Imperial Collegeu u Londonu ističe kako bi promjenu u menstrualnom ciklusu mogla prouzročiti imunološka reakcija tijela na cjepivo - baš kao što je slučaj kod cjepiva protiv HPV-a.
- Većini žena ciklus je bio normalan već idućeg mjeseca - ističe dr. Male i dodaje kako je najvažnije da nema dokaza da cjepivo protiv Covida utječe na plodnost.
No prijavljenih 35.000 slučajeva mogao bi biti samo vrh sante.
- Ako veza između cijepljenja i promjene u ciklusima bude potvrđena, ljudi će moći planirati da će taj ciklus biti potencijalno poremećen. Jasne informacije su važne za one koji uz pomoć praćenja ciklusa planiraju trudnoću ili je pak žele izbjeći.
MHRA ističe na svojim stranicama kako istražuju navode da cjepivo uzrokuje problematične cikluse i neočekivana vaginalna krvarenja. Ipak, navode kako su prijavljene menstrualne promjene uglavnom prolazne prirode.
- Iako su neugodni, problemi s menstruacijom su vrlo česti i mogu ih prouzročiti stresni događaji u životu, kao i neka medicinska stanja ili lijekovi. Promjene u menstrualnom ciklusu prijavljene su i nakon infekcije Covidom, kao i kod ljudi koji su pogođeni dugim Covidom. No nema dokaza da cjepivo utječe na plodnost ili sposobnost rađanja djece - ističu.
Veza između cjepiva i povećanog rizika od pobačaja ili rađanja mrtvorođenog djeteta još nije istražena.
Trudnice prijavljuju slične reakcije na cijepljenje kao i svi ostali, a žene i muškarci koji su primili cjepivo nemaju promijenjenu kvalitetu spermija ili smanjene šanse za uspjehom IVF-a.
Slični problemi s ciklusom prijavljeni su i u SAD-u no znanstvenici su kazali kako je još prerano da bi potvrdili tu vezu - piše Jutarnji.hr.

Gotovo 35.000 žena iz Velike Britanije do 2. rujna prijavilo je nuspojave u obliku poremećenih menstrualnih ciklusa nakon cijepljenja protiv Covida-19 - piše Jutarnji.hr.
Osim neredovitih, prijavile su i bolne menstruacije, a većini žena sve se vratilo u normalu nakon jednog do dva ciklusa. Zabilježeni problemi povezani su s cjepivima Pfizer, AstraZeneca ili Moderna, prenosi Daily Mail.
Ipak, britanski medicinski časopis BMJ ističe kako bi se trebalo provesti još istraživanja kako bi potvrdili poveznicu. Regulatorna agencija MHRA još uvijek nije prihvatila vezu između cjepiva i menstrualnih poremećaja.
Dr. Victoria Male, predavačica reproduktivne imunologije na Imperial Collegeu u Londonu ističe kako bi promjenu u menstrualnom ciklusu mogla prouzročiti imunološka reakcija tijela na cjepivo - baš kao što je slučaj kod cjepiva protiv HPV-a.
- Većini žena ciklus je bio normalan već idućeg mjeseca - ističe dr. Male i dodaje kako je najvažnije da nema dokaza da cjepivo protiv Covida utječe na plodnost.
No prijavljenih 35.000 slučajeva mogao bi biti samo vrh sante.
- Ako veza između cijepljenja i promjene u ciklusima bude potvrđena, ljudi će moći planirati da će taj ciklus biti potencijalno poremećen. Jasne informacije su važne za one koji uz pomoć praćenja ciklusa planiraju trudnoću ili je pak žele izbjeći.
MHRA ističe na svojim stranicama kako istražuju navode da cjepivo uzrokuje problematične cikluse i neočekivana vaginalna krvarenja. Ipak, navode kako su prijavljene menstrualne promjene uglavnom prolazne prirode.
- Iako su neugodni, problemi s menstruacijom su vrlo česti i mogu ih prouzročiti stresni događaji u životu, kao i neka medicinska stanja ili lijekovi. Promjene u menstrualnom ciklusu prijavljene su i nakon infekcije Covidom, kao i kod ljudi koji su pogođeni dugim Covidom. No nema dokaza da cjepivo utječe na plodnost ili sposobnost rađanja djece - ističu.
Veza između cjepiva i povećanog rizika od pobačaja ili rađanja mrtvorođenog djeteta još nije istražena.
Trudnice prijavljuju slične reakcije na cijepljenje kao i svi ostali, a žene i muškarci koji su primili cjepivo nemaju promijenjenu kvalitetu spermija ili smanjene šanse za uspjehom IVF-a.
Slični problemi s ciklusom prijavljeni su i u SAD-u no znanstvenici su kazali kako je još prerano da bi potvrdili tu vezu - piše Jutarnji.hr.
