Premda nije bila osobito oštra, zima je bila duga, dovoljno duga da nam svo povrće dosadi. Iskreno, kome je u ožujku do leće, graha, kelja, mrkve krumpira, a posebno do kupusa? Najeli smo ih se već na sve moguće načine. Ili ipak nismo? Jeste li već primijetili recepte za 'cabbage steaks', odnosno šnicele od kupusa. Zvuči preglupo da bi bilo istinito, no baš mi je zato privuklo pažnju. Nije bilo druge, ispitala sam ima li ga smisla usvojiti ili ga je bolje preskočiti.

U receptima se spominju i glavati, bijeli kupus i kelj, a meni je draži kelj i imala sam ga kod kuće, pa ćete mi oprostiti što sam se odlučila za njega. Priznajem da sam već odavno probala i zavoljela pečeni bijeli kupus, ali ne na ovaj način nego pečen zajedno s drugim povrćem i preliven vrhnjem.

Ni približno nije isto, osim po okusu karameliziranog povrća koji je kod 'šnicela' intenzivniji, jer pečeno povrće se zapravo više kuha u vlastitom soku nego što se peče.

Da ne duljim, ovo je poanta 'kupusnih šnicelića' i zapravo ono što je kod njih najbolje: vrlo ih je lako napraviti. Treba samo narezati glavicu kupusa ili kelja na debele ploške, svaku dobro posuti začinima i nauljiti pa poslagati na masni papir i zapeći.

Naravno da osim oblika nemaju nikakve veze sa šnicelima, no mora se priznati da ovaj način pripreme dosadnom zimskom povrću daje zanimljivu okusnu dimenziju, a ako se malo potrudite i vizualnu. Zaželite li se malo drugačijeg priloga uz nešto konkretno ili laganog obroka uz pire, rižu, humus ili salatu kao prilog, ovo je sasvim dobra solucija.

Pecite ga više volite li hruskave zapečene komadiće kao ja ili manje ako se užasavate pocrnjelih vrškova na lišću.

Još jedna super stvar kod pečenih 'feta' kupusa je što ih možete posuti čime god hoćete (čujem li to nekoga da je rekao 'mesom'?). Iskušajte začinsko bilje, pahuljice čilija, sezam, sjemenke suncokreta, komadiće pancete, sojin umak, vrhnje, topivi sir, ribani parmezan... Moj favorit su začinsko bilje, sezam i panceta.

Pečeni kupus 'na fete' ili 'kupusni šnicelići'

1 glavica kupusa ili kelja

4-5 žlica maslinovog ulja

sol, papar

začini po želji

Narežite glavicu na ploške debele oko 1,5-2 centimetra, dobro ih posolite, začinite i poslažite u posudu za pečenje.

Prelijte uljem i pecite 20-30 minuta u pećnici zagrijanoj na 220 stupnjeva.

Premda nije bila osobito oštra, zima je bila duga, dovoljno duga da nam svo povrće dosadi. Iskreno, kome je u ožujku do leće, graha, kelja, mrkve krumpira, a posebno do kupusa? Najeli smo ih se već na sve moguće načine. Ili ipak nismo? Jeste li već primijetili recepte za 'cabbage steaks', odnosno šnicele od kupusa. Zvuči preglupo da bi bilo istinito, no baš mi je zato privuklo pažnju. Nije bilo druge, ispitala sam ima li ga smisla usvojiti ili ga je bolje preskočiti.

U receptima se spominju i glavati, bijeli kupus i kelj, a meni je draži kelj i imala sam ga kod kuće, pa ćete mi oprostiti što sam se odlučila za njega. Priznajem da sam već odavno probala i zavoljela pečeni bijeli kupus, ali ne na ovaj način nego pečen zajedno s drugim povrćem i preliven vrhnjem.

Ni približno nije isto, osim po okusu karameliziranog povrća koji je kod 'šnicela' intenzivniji, jer pečeno povrće se zapravo više kuha u vlastitom soku nego što se peče.

Da ne duljim, ovo je poanta 'kupusnih šnicelića' i zapravo ono što je kod njih najbolje: vrlo ih je lako napraviti. Treba samo narezati glavicu kupusa ili kelja na debele ploške, svaku dobro posuti začinima i nauljiti pa poslagati na masni papir i zapeći.

Naravno da osim oblika nemaju nikakve veze sa šnicelima, no mora se priznati da ovaj način pripreme dosadnom zimskom povrću daje zanimljivu okusnu dimenziju, a ako se malo potrudite i vizualnu. Zaželite li se malo drugačijeg priloga uz nešto konkretno ili laganog obroka uz pire, rižu, humus ili salatu kao prilog, ovo je sasvim dobra solucija.

Pecite ga više volite li hruskave zapečene komadiće kao ja ili manje ako se užasavate pocrnjelih vrškova na lišću.

Još jedna super stvar kod pečenih 'feta' kupusa je što ih možete posuti čime god hoćete (čujem li to nekoga da je rekao 'mesom'?). Iskušajte začinsko bilje, pahuljice čilija, sezam, sjemenke suncokreta, komadiće pancete, sojin umak, vrhnje, topivi sir, ribani parmezan... Moj favorit su začinsko bilje, sezam i panceta. 

Evo kako ćete ga pripremiti.

Pečeni kupus 'na fete' ili 'kupusni šnicelići'

1 glavica kupusa ili kelja

4-5 žlica maslinovog ulja

sol, papar

začini po želji

Narežite glavicu na ploške debele oko 1,5-2 centimetra, dobro ih posolite, začinite i poslažite u posudu za pečenje.

Prelijte uljem i pecite 20-30 minuta u pećnici zagrijanoj na 220 stupnjeva.

Ovakvog ga još niste jeli: dosadno povrće postalo je hit nakon što se netko odvažio na neočekivan korak, isprobali smo ga i odmah zavoljeli

Premda nije bila osobito oštra, zima je bila duga, dovoljno duga da nam svo povrće dosadi. Iskreno, kome je u ožujku do leće, graha, kelja, mrkve krumpira, a posebno do kupusa? Najeli smo ih se već na sve moguće načine. Ili ipak nismo? Jeste li već primijetili recepte za 'cabbage steaks', odnosno šnicele od kupusa. Zvuči preglupo da bi bilo istinito, no baš mi je zato privuklo pažnju. Nije bilo druge, ispitala sam ima li ga smisla usvojiti ili ga je bolje preskočiti.

U receptima se spominju i glavati, bijeli kupus i kelj, a meni je draži kelj i imala sam ga kod kuće, pa ćete mi oprostiti što sam se odlučila za njega. Priznajem da sam već odavno probala i zavoljela pečeni bijeli kupus, ali ne na ovaj način nego pečen zajedno s drugim povrćem i preliven vrhnjem.
