Jedan od vrhunskih novih radova dizajnera Kashefa Chowdhuryja i njegove tvrtke "Urbana" iz Dhake proglašen je ovogodišnjim dobitnikom najstarije britanske arhitektonske nagrade.

Kraljevski institut britanskih arhitekata (The Royal Institute of British Architects) objavio je, naime, kako je projekt koji je pokrenula udruga "Friendship", a koji se odnosi na gradnju bolnice s 80 postelja u Bangladešu, pobjednik njihove Međunarodne nagrade za najbolju novu građevinu na svijetu 2021.

Ruralna bolnica jedan je od nekoliko projekata neprofitne udruge "Friendship" koja nastoji osnažiti nerazvijene zajednice u različitim regijama svijeta kroz praktične društvene inovacije i suradnju.

Bolnica pruža medicinsku skrb u okrugu Satkhira, koje je jako pogođeno porastom razine mora zbog klimatskih promjena i suočeno je s posebno teškim poljoprivrednim problemima vezanim uz nadiruće vode.

Te je probleme projekt uspio riješiti uvođenjem novog sustava odvodnje, koji istovremeno proizvodi vrijednu pitku vodu i služi u prijeko potrebnom medicinskom zbrinjavanju ljudi u području suočenom s poplavama.

Pritom, čitavu bolnicu arhitekt Kashef Chowdhury uspio je "stisnuti" u sićušni budžet od samo dva milijuna dolara, što je pravi pothvat, osobito gledano iz europske perspektive.

Žiri Kraljevskog instituta britanskih arhitekata, organizacije koja ima tradiciju dugu 180 godina, projekt je naveo kao izvanredan primjer onoga što je nazvao "arhitekturom čovječanstva", kao i "uzorom inovativne arhitekture koja se bavi kritičnim globalnim pitanjima - nejednakim pristupom zdravstvenoj skrbi i poraznim utjecajem klimatskog sloma na ranjive zajednice".

Inovativno i profinjeno

Predsjednik Instituta Simon Alford rekao je da je djelo Kashefa Chowdhuryja "inovativno, jasno, profinjeno, ekonomično i divno" i istaknuo je njegovu sposobnost "pružanja osnovnih zdravstvenih usluga u ruralnom području i rješavanja sve većeg utjecaja klimatske situacije" kao odlučujućih čimbenika koji su oduševili članove žirija.

- U iznimno važnom trenutku, RIBA i žiri identificirali su moj projekt s globalne periferije kako bi ga doveli u središte arhitektonskog diskursa dodijelivši mu jednu od najvažnijih svjetskih nagrada - rekao je sam Chowdhury.

- Ohrabruje me da bi ovo moglo potaknuti više nas da se posvetimo, ne usprkos, već upravo zbog ograničenja resursa i sredstava, arhitekturi brige i za čovječanstvo i za prirodu, da se zajednički uzdignemo do svijesti o ekološkoj hitnosti s kojom se danas suočavamo na planetarnoj razini.

Dizajn bolnice u bangladeškom okrugu Satkhira nadmašio je dva druga finalista koja su ušla u uži izbor – projekt berlinske galerije "James Simon", teške čak 134 milijuna dolara, britanskog arhitekta Davida Chipperfielda, te projekt pješačko-biciklističkog mosta u Kopenhagenu, koji je dizajnirao WilkinsonEyrea, međunarodni arhitektonski ured sa sjedištem u Londonu.

Most je koštao devet milijuna funti.

Osnivač i izvršni direktor organizacije "Friendship" Runa Khan imao je velike riječi hvale za arhitekta Kashefa Chowdhuryja, kojemu pripisuje briljantnu vještinu da unutar ograničenog, vrlo skromnog budžeta stvori jedno od najnadahnutijih primjera infrastrukture u povijesti njihove zemlje.

- Radeći sa zajednicama koje su najviše pogođene klimatskim promjenama tijekom posljednjih 20 godina, vidio sam, uvijek iznova, dokaz uvjerenja da siromašni krajevi svijeta ne mogu sebi priuštiti loša rješenja!

Jedan od vrhunskih novih radova dizajnera Kashefa Chowdhuryja i njegove tvrtke "Urbana" iz Dhake proglašen je ovogodišnjim dobitnikom najstarije britanske arhitektonske nagrade.

Kraljevski institut britanskih arhitekata (The Royal Institute of British Architects) objavio je, naime, kako je projekt koji je pokrenula udruga "Friendship", a koji se odnosi na gradnju bolnice s 80 postelja u Bangladešu, pobjednik njihove Međunarodne nagrade za najbolju novu građevinu na svijetu 2021.

Ruralna bolnica jedan je od nekoliko projekata neprofitne udruge "Friendship" koja nastoji osnažiti nerazvijene zajednice u različitim regijama svijeta kroz praktične društvene inovacije i suradnju.

Bolnica pruža medicinsku skrb u okrugu Satkhira, koje je jako pogođeno porastom razine mora zbog klimatskih promjena i suočeno je s posebno teškim poljoprivrednim problemima vezanim uz nadiruće vode.

Te je probleme projekt uspio riješiti uvođenjem novog sustava odvodnje, koji istovremeno proizvodi vrijednu pitku vodu i služi u prijeko potrebnom medicinskom zbrinjavanju ljudi u području suočenom s poplavama.

Pritom, čitavu bolnicu arhitekt Kashef Chowdhury uspio je "stisnuti" u sićušni budžet od samo dva milijuna dolara, što je pravi pothvat, osobito gledano iz europske perspektive.

Žiri Kraljevskog instituta britanskih arhitekata, organizacije koja ima tradiciju dugu 180 godina, projekt je naveo kao izvanredan primjer onoga što je nazvao "arhitekturom čovječanstva", kao i "uzorom inovativne arhitekture koja se bavi kritičnim globalnim pitanjima - nejednakim pristupom zdravstvenoj skrbi i poraznim utjecajem klimatskog sloma na ranjive zajednice".

Inovativno i profinjeno

Predsjednik Instituta Simon Alford rekao je da je djelo Kashefa Chowdhuryja "inovativno, jasno, profinjeno, ekonomično i divno" i istaknuo je njegovu sposobnost "pružanja osnovnih zdravstvenih usluga u ruralnom području i rješavanja sve većeg utjecaja klimatske situacije" kao odlučujućih čimbenika koji su oduševili članove žirija.

- U iznimno važnom trenutku, RIBA i žiri identificirali su moj projekt s globalne periferije kako bi ga doveli u središte arhitektonskog diskursa dodijelivši mu jednu od najvažnijih svjetskih nagrada - rekao je sam Chowdhury.

- Ohrabruje me da bi ovo moglo potaknuti više nas da se posvetimo, ne usprkos, već upravo zbog ograničenja resursa i sredstava, arhitekturi brige i za čovječanstvo i za prirodu, da se zajednički uzdignemo do svijesti o ekološkoj hitnosti s kojom se danas suočavamo na planetarnoj razini.

Dizajn bolnice u bangladeškom okrugu Satkhira nadmašio je dva druga finalista koja su ušla u uži izbor – projekt berlinske galerije "James Simon", teške čak 134 milijuna dolara, britanskog arhitekta Davida Chipperfielda, te projekt pješačko-biciklističkog mosta u Kopenhagenu, koji je dizajnirao WilkinsonEyrea, međunarodni arhitektonski ured sa sjedištem u Londonu.

Most je koštao devet milijuna funti.

Osnivač i izvršni direktor organizacije "Friendship" Runa Khan imao je velike riječi hvale za arhitekta Kashefa Chowdhuryja, kojemu pripisuje briljantnu vještinu da unutar ograničenog, vrlo skromnog budžeta stvori jedno od najnadahnutijih primjera infrastrukture u povijesti njihove zemlje.

- Radeći sa zajednicama koje su najviše pogođene klimatskim promjenama tijekom posljednjih 20 godina, vidio sam, uvijek iznova, dokaz uvjerenja da siromašni krajevi svijeta ne mogu sebi priuštiti loša rješenja!
