Od početka pandemije koronavirusa nekoliko moćnih svjetskih tehnoloških tvrtki povećalo je svoju vrijednost za 2,7 trilijuna dolara.
Dok je opasni virus mnoge ostavio bez posla, obitelji bez primanja, brojne tvrtke su propale, države povećale javni dug, život nikad nije bio bolji za gigante Apple, Amazon, Facebook, Microsoft i Googleovu roditeljsku tvrtku Alphabet. Slijede ih Zoom, Netflix, Ocado, ASOS i Boohoo.
Apple je sada vrijedan 2,1 trilijun dolara, a tijekom pandemije vrijednost mu se povećala za oko 1,2 trilijuna. Amazon sada vrijedi 1,6 trilijuna dolara, vrijednost mu se povećala za oko 850 milijardi dolara.
Microsoftu se vrijednost u manje od godinu dana od početka pandemije povećala za oko 780 milijardi dolara, na sadašnjih oko 1,8 trilijuna dolara.
Facebooku se vrijednost povećala za 343,5 milijardi na ukupno 755 milijardi dolara, Googleov vlasnik Alphabet sada vrijedi gotovo 1,3 trilijuna dolara uz povećanje od 376 milijardi dolara.
Zbog velikog povećanja potrebe za videokonferencijama tijekom lockdowna, vrijednost Zooma je povećana za 82 milijarde dolara na sadašnjih gotovo 113 milijardi dolara, a najuspješnijem streaming servisu, Netflixu, vrijednost se povećala za 111 milijardi, na sadašnjih 240 milijardi dolara.
Vrijednost Ocada je tijekom pandemije povećana za 16,5 milijardi, na sadašnjih 28 milijardi dolara.
Tvrtka ASOS sada vrijedi 6,8 milijardi dolara, uz povećanje od 4,6 milijardi, dok Boohoo sada ima vrijednost od 5,8 milijardi uz povećanje od 3,2 milijarde dolara od početka pandemije koronavirusa.
Radi se o tvrtkama koje su iskoristile ograničenja koja su zbog globalne zdravstvene krize bila nametnuta brojnim drugim kompanijama, a uz to su vrlo često kritizirane zbog odnosa prema zaposlenicima, upitnim iznosima korporativnih poreza koje s obzirom na prihode plaćaju u pojedinim zemljama...
Max Lawson iz organizacije Oxfam kaže da neke tvrtke profitiraju od pandemije dok mala poduzeća udaraju u zid, a obični ljudi se bore s nestašicom, nazivajući to „virusom nejednakosti”.
Isti izraz upotrijebljen je prije desetak dana, kad je objavljeno da se bogatstvo desetorice najbogatijih ljudi svijeta povećalo za 540 milijardi dolara od početka pandemije koronavirusa. Povećanjem svog bogatstva u prošloj godini Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, Zhong Shanshan, Bernard Arnault, Mark Zuckerberg, Mukesh Ambani, Larry Ellison, Larry Page, Bill Gates i Warren Buffett mogli bi platiti dvije doze cjepiva protiv koronavirusa za kompletno čovječanstvo i još bi im poprilično ostalo.
Mnogi od njih daju izdašne donacije za borbu protiv koronavirusa i druge humanitarne svrhe, ali to je sitnica u usporedbi s povećanjem njihova bogatstva tijekom prošle godine.
Primjerice, Jeff Bezos, koji je upravo objavio da se povlači s mjesta predsjednika Amazona, prošle je godine do rujna zaradio toliko da bi svakom od 876.000 zaposlenika svoje tvrtke mogao dati bonus od 105.000 dolara i još uvijek biti jednako bogat kao što je bio prije pandemije.
Organizacija Oxfam kaže da je tisuću najbogatijih ljudi svijeta već uspjelo pokriti rane gubitke koje su zabilježili na početku pandemije dok će trebati više od desetljeća da se najsiromašniji oporave od svojih gubitaka.
Koristeći podatke Svjetske banke, u Oxfamu su zaključili da će u najgorem scenariju globalna razina siromaštva biti veća 2030. godine nego prije početka pandemije koronavirusa, sa 3,4 milijarde ljudi koji će živjeti s manje od pet i pol dolara dnevno.

Od početka pandemije koronavirusa nekoliko moćnih svjetskih tehnoloških tvrtki povećalo je svoju vrijednost za 2,7 trilijuna dolara.

Apple je sada vrijedan 2,1 trilijun dolara, a tijekom pandemije vrijednost mu se povećala za oko 1,2 trilijuna. Amazon sada vrijedi 1,6 trilijuna dolara, vrijednost mu se povećala za oko 850 milijardi dolara.
Microsoftu se vrijednost u manje od godinu dana od početka pandemije povećala za oko 780 milijardi dolara, na sadašnjih oko 1,8 trilijuna dolara.
Facebooku se vrijednost povećala za 343,5 milijardi na ukupno 755 milijardi dolara, Googleov vlasnik Alphabet sada vrijedi gotovo 1,3 trilijuna dolara uz povećanje od 376 milijardi dolara.
Zbog velikog povećanja potrebe za videokonferencijama tijekom lockdowna, vrijednost Zooma je povećana za 82 milijarde dolara na sadašnjih gotovo 113 milijardi dolara, a najuspješnijem streaming servisu, Netflixu, vrijednost se povećala za 111 milijardi, na sadašnjih 240 milijardi dolara.
Vrijednost Ocada je tijekom pandemije povećana za 16,5 milijardi, na sadašnjih 28 milijardi dolara.
Tvrtka ASOS sada vrijedi 6,8 milijardi dolara, uz povećanje od 4,6 milijardi, dok Boohoo sada ima vrijednost od 5,8 milijardi uz povećanje od 3,2 milijarde dolara od početka pandemije koronavirusa.
Radi se o tvrtkama koje su iskoristile ograničenja koja su zbog globalne zdravstvene krize bila nametnuta brojnim drugim kompanijama, a uz to su vrlo često kritizirane zbog odnosa prema zaposlenicima, upitnim iznosima korporativnih poreza koje s obzirom na prihode plaćaju u pojedinim zemljama...
Max Lawson iz organizacije Oxfam kaže da neke tvrtke profitiraju od pandemije dok mala poduzeća udaraju u zid, a obični ljudi se bore s nestašicom, nazivajući to „virusom nejednakosti”.
Isti izraz upotrijebljen je prije desetak dana, kad je objavljeno da se bogatstvo desetorice najbogatijih ljudi svijeta povećalo za 540 milijardi dolara od početka pandemije koronavirusa. Povećanjem svog bogatstva u prošloj godini Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, Zhong Shanshan, Bernard Arnault, Mark Zuckerberg, Mukesh Ambani, Larry Ellison, Larry Page, Bill Gates i Warren Buffett mogli bi platiti dvije doze cjepiva protiv koronavirusa za kompletno čovječanstvo i još bi im poprilično ostalo.
Mnogi od njih daju izdašne donacije za borbu protiv koronavirusa i druge humanitarne svrhe, ali to je sitnica u usporedbi s povećanjem njihova bogatstva tijekom prošle godine.
Primjerice, Jeff Bezos, koji je upravo objavio da se povlači s mjesta predsjednika Amazona, prošle je godine do rujna zaradio toliko da bi svakom od 876.000 zaposlenika svoje tvrtke mogao dati bonus od 105.000 dolara i još uvijek biti jednako bogat kao što je bio prije pandemije.
Organizacija Oxfam kaže da je tisuću najbogatijih ljudi svijeta već uspjelo pokriti rane gubitke koje su zabilježili na početku pandemije dok će trebati više od desetljeća da se najsiromašniji oporave od svojih gubitaka.
Koristeći podatke Svjetske banke, u Oxfamu su zaključili da će u najgorem scenariju globalna razina siromaštva biti veća 2030. godine nego prije početka pandemije koronavirusa, sa 3,4 milijarde ljudi koji će živjeti s manje od pet i pol dolara dnevno.
