U eri stresnog i brzog načina života opasnosti vrebaju s raznih strana, često sa strane od koje ne očekujemo. U tom smislu i obično odlazak na manikuru može biti problem i zdravstveni rizik.

Lani je upozoreno kako je nanošenje gelova ili gel lakova na nokte da duže izgledaju uredno može dovesti do pojave gljivica na noktima, pa i do raka kože.

- Znamo da UVA i UVB zrake utječu na porast nastanka karcinoma kože, a nokti i jesu dio kože. Utjecaj tih zraka može dovesti do nastanka karcinoma kože, najprije melanoma", rekla je specijalistica dermatovenerologije dr. Jovana Majstorović za Mondo, prenijela je Slobodna Dalmacija.

Ona je dodala da bi lampe koje se koriste trebale biti LED, dobre, kvalitetne i dobro servisirane te da je trajni lak manje "opasan" od gela za nokte, a najbolja opcija bi bio običan lak.

Dr. Majstorović je naglasila kako još uvijek nedostaje jedna ozbiljna studija koja će nas informirati o tome koliko UV lampe štetno djeluju na ploču nokta i porast melanoma.

Danas je to istraživanje konačno objavljeno i ono je dokazalo da su UV lampe, koje se koriste za "sušenje" akrilnog gela i laka za nokte, štetne za nokte, a dokazana je i njihova povezanost s rakom kože.

Istraživanje su 17. siječnja proveli znanstvenici s Kalifornijskog sveučilišta u San Diegu.

UV lampe koriste žarulje koje emitiraju zračenje valnih duljima od 340 do 395 nm što je ujedno i najštetniji dio UV spektra. Znanstvenici predvođeni Ludmilom Alexandrovom zračenju su izložili mišje i ljudske stanice i najprije su uočili oštećenje DNA prilikom svakog izlaganja UV lampi. Zabilježene su i mutacije te poremećena funkcija mitohondrija, piše Miss7.

Primijetili su da se radi o istom uzorku mutacija kao kod stanica zahvaćenih karcinomom kože.

"Naši eksperimentalni rezultati i prethodni dokazi snažno upućuju na to da zračenje koje emitiraju UV lampe za nokte mogu uzrokovati rak na rukama i da UV lampe, slično solarijima, mogu povećati rizik od raka kože i u ranijoj dobi", stoji u istraživanju. Znanstvenici savjetuju da bi do rezultata dugoročnih istraživanja bilo najbolje izbjegavati takve lampe ili se pri idućem posjetu salonu za uljepšavanje zaštititi od zračenja.

U eri stresnog i brzog načina života opasnosti vrebaju s raznih strana, često sa strane od koje ne očekujemo. U tom smislu i obično odlazak na manikuru može biti problem i zdravstveni rizik.

Lani je upozoreno kako je nanošenje gelova ili gel lakova na nokte da duže izgledaju uredno može dovesti do pojave gljivica na noktima, pa i do raka kože.

- Znamo da UVA i UVB zrake utječu na porast nastanka karcinoma kože, a nokti i jesu dio kože. Utjecaj tih zraka može dovesti do nastanka karcinoma kože, najprije melanoma", rekla je specijalistica dermatovenerologije dr. Jovana Majstorović za Mondo, prenijela je Slobodna Dalmacija.

Ona je dodala da bi lampe koje se koriste trebale biti LED, dobre, kvalitetne i dobro servisirane te da je trajni lak manje "opasan" od gela za nokte, a najbolja opcija bi bio običan lak.

Dr. Majstorović je naglasila kako još uvijek nedostaje jedna ozbiljna studija koja će nas informirati o tome koliko UV lampe štetno djeluju na ploču nokta i porast melanoma.

Danas je to istraživanje konačno objavljeno i ono je dokazalo da su UV lampe, koje se koriste za "sušenje" akrilnog gela i laka za nokte, štetne za nokte, a dokazana je i njihova povezanost s rakom kože.

Istraživanje su 17. siječnja proveli znanstvenici s Kalifornijskog sveučilišta u San Diegu.

UV lampe koriste žarulje koje emitiraju zračenje valnih duljima od 340 do 395 nm što je ujedno i najštetniji dio UV spektra. Znanstvenici predvođeni Ludmilom Alexandrovom zračenju su izložili mišje i ljudske stanice i najprije su uočili oštećenje DNA prilikom svakog izlaganja UV lampi. Zabilježene su i mutacije te poremećena funkcija mitohondrija, piše Miss7.

Primijetili su da se radi o istom uzorku mutacija kao kod stanica zahvaćenih karcinomom kože.

"Naši eksperimentalni rezultati i prethodni dokazi snažno upućuju na to da zračenje koje emitiraju UV lampe za nokte mogu uzrokovati rak na rukama i da UV lampe, slično solarijima, mogu povećati rizik od raka kože i u ranijoj dobi", stoji u istraživanju. Znanstvenici savjetuju da bi do rezultata dugoročnih istraživanja bilo najbolje izbjegavati takve lampe ili se pri idućem posjetu salonu za uljepšavanje zaštititi od zračenja.

Za one koji ne mogu bez gel manikure i trajnih lakova, Zaklada za rak kože savjetuje da ruke prije manikure namažu kremom za sunčanje koja štiti od UVA i UVB zraka. Ipak, krema će smanjiti će štetan utjecaj UV zraka na kožu, ali ne i sam nokat ispod kojeg se može pojaviti rijetki subungvalni karcinom. Drugi način za zaštitu kože je rukavica bez prstiju, efikasnija od kreme za sunčanje, piše Miss7.

Nakon rezultata ovog prvog istraživanja vjerojatno će se s više opreza odlaziti u salone za uljepšavanje, što je i preporučljivo. Ipak je u pitanju zdravlje, a ono bi u svemu trebalo biti najvažnije.
