Ruka bez vjenčanog prstena princa Williama izazvala je znatiželju među kraljevskim promatračima, posebno u svjetlu nedavnih događaja u kojima je sudjelovala njegova supruga Kate Middleton. Princ od Walesa primijećen je bez svog vjenčanog prstena tijekom posjeta novoj zoni mladih WEST (Where Everyone Sticks Together) OnSide u Londonu.
Sada svi opet provjeravaju fotografiju Kate Middleton za Majčin dan, te se sada poteglo i pitanje zašto princeza od Walesa nema svoj zaručnički prsten od safira i dijamanta i zlatni vjenčani prsten.

Na pitanja oko princezinog nedostatka prstenja odgovorili su njezini predstavnici, a Mirror je izvijestio da je "Katein ured jednostavno odgovorio na pitanja o njezinom prstenu navodeći da je kraljevska obitelj bila ‘kod kuće‘ kada je fotografija snimljena."

U javnosti se kraljevska obitelj nikada ne vidi bez prstena, međutim, isto ne vrijedi i za princa Williama. Mnogi su se pitali zašto se princ William ne nosi svoj prsten, unatoč tome što njegov brat princ Harry uvijek nosi svoj.

Odgovor je jednostavan - princ od Walesa ne voli nakit bilo koje vrste i to je oduvijek tako. Mjesec dana prije vjenčanja 2011. godine, palača St. James objavila je da William neće nositi prsten nakon što on i njegova nevjesta izmijene zavjete u Westminsterskoj opatiji.

Insajder iz palače otkrio je tada za The Mirror da je Williamov izbor da ne nosi nakit. "On nije za nakit", objasnili su. "Nikad ga nije nosio. Odlučio je da ga sada ne želi nositi. Sve se svodi na osobne preferencije."

U međuvremenu, 2018. kraljevska stručnjakinja Eloise Parker iznijela je svoje mišljenje o raspravi u intervjuu za Marie Claire. "Iako je tradicionalno da kraljevske žene nose i zaručnički prsten i vjenčani prsten nakon što se vjenčaju, nikada nije bilo tradicionalno da ga kraljevski muškarci nose", rekla je kraljevska stručnjakinja. "Zato ih princ Philip i princ William ne nose. Mislim da kad imate vjenčanje koje gledaju milijuni, svi znaju da ste u braku."

Unatoč tome što je u braku s kraljicom više od 70 godina, princ Philip nikada nije nosio vjenčani prsten. Za usporedbu, Williamov otac kralj Charles nosi ga - prsten na malom prstu lijeve ruke.

Tradicija žena koje nose vjenčano prstenje datira iz drevnog Egipta, ali tek je u drugom dijelu prošlog stoljeća mali broj mladoženja počeo raditi isto. Smatra se da je Drugi svjetski rat pokrenuo novi trend, a mnogi zapadnjaci koji su se borili u inozemstvu odlučili su nositi vjenčano prstenje kao podsjetnik na svoje žene i obitelji kod kuće.

Prsten princeze Kate izrađen je od zlata iz rudnika Clogau St David u Bontdduu u sjevernom Walesu. Zlato iz rudnika Clogau St David korišteno je za brojne kraljevske vjenčane prstenove, uključujući one za pokojnu kraljicu, kraljicu majku i pokojnu Dianu, princezu od Walesa. Pokojnoj kraljici rudnik je 1986. godine uručio zalihu zlata i upravo je iz toga izrađen Katein prsten.

Ruka bez vjenčanog prstena princa Williama izazvala je znatiželju među kraljevskim promatračima, posebno u svjetlu nedavnih događaja u kojima je sudjelovala njegova supruga Kate Middleton. Princ od Walesa primijećen je bez svog vjenčanog prstena tijekom posjeta novoj zoni mladih WEST (Where Everyone Sticks Together) OnSide u Londonu.
Sada svi opet provjeravaju fotografiju Kate Middleton za Majčin dan, te se sada poteglo i pitanje zašto princeza od Walesa nema svoj zaručnički prsten od safira i dijamanta i zlatni vjenčani prsten.

Na pitanja oko princezinog nedostatka prstenja odgovorili su njezini predstavnici, a Mirror je izvijestio da je "Katein ured jednostavno odgovorio na pitanja o njezinom prstenu navodeći da je kraljevska obitelj bila ‘kod kuće‘ kada je fotografija snimljena."

U javnosti se kraljevska obitelj nikada ne vidi bez prstena, međutim, isto ne vrijedi i za princa Williama. Mnogi su se pitali zašto se princ William ne nosi svoj prsten, unatoč tome što njegov brat princ Harry uvijek nosi svoj.

Odgovor je jednostavan - princ od Walesa ne voli nakit bilo koje vrste i to je oduvijek tako. Mjesec dana prije vjenčanja 2011. godine, palača St. James objavila je da William neće nositi prsten nakon što on i njegova nevjesta izmijene zavjete u Westminsterskoj opatiji.

Insajder iz palače otkrio je tada za The Mirror da je Williamov izbor da ne nosi nakit. "On nije za nakit", objasnili su. "Nikad ga nije nosio. Odlučio je da ga sada ne želi nositi. Sve se svodi na osobne preferencije."

U međuvremenu, 2018. kraljevska stručnjakinja Eloise Parker iznijela je svoje mišljenje o raspravi u intervjuu za Marie Claire. "Iako je tradicionalno da kraljevske žene nose i zaručnički prsten i vjenčani prsten nakon što se vjenčaju, nikada nije bilo tradicionalno da ga kraljevski muškarci nose", rekla je kraljevska stručnjakinja. "Zato ih princ Philip i princ William ne nose. Mislim da kad imate vjenčanje koje gledaju milijuni, svi znaju da ste u braku."

Unatoč tome što je u braku s kraljicom više od 70 godina, princ Philip nikada nije nosio vjenčani prsten. Za usporedbu, Williamov otac kralj Charles nosi ga - prsten na malom prstu lijeve ruke.

Tradicija žena koje nose vjenčano prstenje datira iz drevnog Egipta, ali tek je u drugom dijelu prošlog stoljeća mali broj mladoženja počeo raditi isto. Smatra se da je Drugi svjetski rat pokrenuo novi trend, a mnogi zapadnjaci koji su se borili u inozemstvu odlučili su nositi vjenčano prstenje kao podsjetnik na svoje žene i obitelji kod kuće.

Prsten princeze Kate izrađen je od zlata iz rudnika Clogau St David u Bontdduu u sjevernom Walesu. Zlato iz rudnika Clogau St David korišteno je za brojne kraljevske vjenčane prstenove, uključujući one za pokojnu kraljicu, kraljicu majku i pokojnu Dianu, princezu od Walesa. Pokojnoj kraljici rudnik je 1986. godine uručio zalihu zlata i upravo je iz toga izrađen Katein prsten.
