Znanstvenici iz Southwestern Medical Centera u Teksasu stvorili su hormonsku injekciju koja može dramatično ubrzati oporavak od mamurluka, piše klix.ba.

Koristeći pokuse na miševima, istraživači su otkrili da je doziranje faktora rasta fibroblasta 21 (FGF21) prepolovilo vrijeme potrebno da se otrijezne.

Poznato je da FGF21 štiti od negativnih učinaka alkohola tako što ga brže razgrađuje i aktivira mozak. Istraživači sa Sveučilišta Southwestern u Teksasu dali su miševima "pretjeranu" dozu etanola, što je jednako pijenju alkohola kod ljudi.

Miševi su izgubili svoj "refleks ispravljanja" - sposobnost tijela da se ispravi kada ga alkohol izbaci iz ravnoteže. Miševima kojima je nedostajao FGF21 trebalo je više vremena nego drugim miševima da povrate svoj refleks uspravljanja i ravnotežu.

Kemikalija, koja se prirodno pojavljuje u jetri, šalje signale mozgu da se zaštiti od štetnih učinaka alkohola.

Dr. Steven Kliewer iz Southwestern medicinskog centra Sveučilišta Texas, rekao je da povećanje razine FGF21 u tijelu injekcijom "može dramatično ubrzati oporavak od intoksikacije".

"Otkrili smo da jetra nije uključena samo u razgradnju alkohola. Ona također šalje hormonalni signal mozgu kako bi ga zaštitila od štetnih učinaka opijanja, uključujući gubitak svijesti i koordinacije", objasnio je.

Studija je objavljena u časopisu Cell Metabolism.

Znanstvenici iz Southwestern Medical Centera u Teksasu stvorili su hormonsku injekciju koja može dramatično ubrzati oporavak od mamurluka, piše klix.ba.

Koristeći pokuse na miševima, istraživači su otkrili da je doziranje faktora rasta fibroblasta 21 (FGF21) prepolovilo vrijeme potrebno da se otrijezne.

Poznato je da FGF21 štiti od negativnih učinaka alkohola tako što ga brže razgrađuje i aktivira mozak. Istraživači sa Sveučilišta Southwestern u Teksasu dali su miševima "pretjeranu" dozu etanola, što je jednako pijenju alkohola kod ljudi.

Miševi su izgubili svoj "refleks ispravljanja" - sposobnost tijela da se ispravi kada ga alkohol izbaci iz ravnoteže. Miševima kojima je nedostajao FGF21 trebalo je više vremena nego drugim miševima da povrate svoj refleks uspravljanja i ravnotežu.

Kemikalija, koja se prirodno pojavljuje u jetri, šalje signale mozgu da se zaštiti od štetnih učinaka alkohola.

Dr. Steven Kliewer iz Southwestern medicinskog centra Sveučilišta Texas, rekao je da povećanje razine FGF21 u tijelu injekcijom "može dramatično ubrzati oporavak od intoksikacije".

"Otkrili smo da jetra nije uključena samo u razgradnju alkohola. Ona također šalje hormonalni signal mozgu kako bi ga zaštitila od štetnih učinaka opijanja, uključujući gubitak svijesti i koordinacije", objasnio je.

Studija je objavljena u časopisu Cell Metabolism.

Znanstvenici iz Southwestern Medical Centera u Teksasu stvorili su hormonsku injekciju koja može dramatično ubrzati oporavak od mamurluka, piše klix.ba.

Koristeći pokuse na miševima, istraživači su otkrili da je doziranje faktora rasta fibroblasta 21 (FGF21) prepolovilo vrijeme potrebno da se otrijezne.

Poznato je da FGF21 štiti od negativnih učinaka alkohola tako što ga brže razgrađuje i aktivira mozak. Istraživači sa Sveučilišta Southwestern u Teksasu dali su miševima "pretjeranu" dozu etanola, što je jednako pijenju alkohola kod ljudi.

Miševi su izgubili svoj "refleks ispravljanja" - sposobnost tijela da se ispravi kada ga alkohol izbaci iz ravnoteže. Miševima kojima je nedostajao FGF21 trebalo je više vremena nego drugim miševima da povrate svoj refleks uspravljanja i...
