Kraljevski je pčelar, sukladno višestoljetnoj tradiciji, u petak i službeno obavijestio kraljevske pčele iz košnica kod Buckinghamske palače da je Elizabeta II. preminula.
Zvuči bizarno, ali je istinito, pčelama je također priopćeno da im je novi gazda kralj Charles III. koji je osim pčela postao i formalni vlasnik svih labudova i jesetri na području Velike Britanije, piše Jutarnji list.
Čovjek na čija leđa je pao ovaj delikatan zadatak zove se John Chapple, ima 79 godina, a pčelar je postao jer mu supruga obožava jesti med. Kraljevske je košnice u kojima je više desetaka tisuća pčela, sukladno tradiciji odmah omotao u crne trake i vezao ih u mašne.
Nakon toga ih je zamolio da budu dobre svojem novom gospodaru Charlesu, poznatom inače po priznanju da razgovara s biljkama.
Riječ je inače o praznovjerju da ako se pčele ne obavijeste o promjeni gospodara više neće proizvoditi med, te će košnice ostati prazne, a one umrijeti.

Britanski tabloidi prenose kako im je tužnu vijest Chapple prenio "oprezno i tihim glasom".
- Normalno je da se pomolimo uvijek kad netko važan premine. Pokucao sam na svaku košnicu i rekao im da im gazdarica umrla, ali da ne moraju otići zbog toga. Novi će im gazda isto biti dobar, rekao je pčelar novinarima.
Chapple inače na vrhuncu brine o više od milijun pčela, ali njihov broj na jesen opada. Već je 15 godina službeni kraljevski pčelar, a kad je došao na razgovor za posao, otkrio je- nije imao pojma što će raditi.
- Vrtlar iz Buckinghamske palače poslao mi je mail i rekao da moramo razgovarati o pčelama. Mislio sam da imaju neki problem i da im treba pomoć. I tako sam ostao. Nadam se da ću ostati i za Charlesove vladavine, rekao je John Chapple dodajući da ga je posao vodio po cijelom svijetu te da je kroz njega upoznao sjajne ljude.
- Privilegij je da sam poznavao kraljicu Elizabetu II.
Kraljevski pčelar inače brine za tzv. tamne europske pčele, konkretnije ‘londonske mješanke‘ koje tamo žive još od ledenog doba. Krupne su građe sa zatupljenim zatkom, kratkog jezika i tamno sivom gotovo crnom bojom tijela. Obavještavanje pčela o važnim stvarima u životu njihovih pčelara poput rođendana, vjenčanja ili smrti tradicija je u mnogim europskim zemljama poput Walesa, Njemačke, Nizozemske, Francuske i SAD-a, piše Jutarnji list.

Kraljevski je pčelar, sukladno višestoljetnoj tradiciji, u petak i službeno obavijestio kraljevske pčele iz košnica kod Buckinghamske palače da je Elizabeta II. preminula.
Zvuči bizarno, ali je istinito, pčelama je također priopćeno da im je novi gazda kralj Charles III. koji je osim pčela postao i formalni vlasnik svih labudova i jesetri na području Velike Britanije, piše Jutarnji list.
Čovjek na čija leđa je pao ovaj delikatan zadatak zove se John Chapple, ima 79 godina, a pčelar je postao jer mu supruga obožava jesti med. Kraljevske je košnice u kojima je više desetaka tisuća pčela, sukladno tradiciji odmah omotao u crne trake i vezao ih u mašne.
Nakon toga ih je zamolio da budu dobre svojem novom gospodaru Charlesu, poznatom inače po priznanju da razgovara s biljkama.
Riječ je inače o praznovjerju da ako se pčele ne obavijeste o promjeni gospodara više neće proizvoditi med, te će košnice ostati prazne, a one umrijeti.

Britanski tabloidi prenose kako im je tužnu vijest Chapple prenio "oprezno i tihim glasom".
- Normalno je da se pomolimo uvijek kad netko važan premine. Pokucao sam na svaku košnicu i rekao im da im gazdarica umrla, ali da ne moraju otići zbog toga. Novi će im gazda isto biti dobar, rekao je pčelar novinarima.
Chapple inače na vrhuncu brine o više od milijun pčela, ali njihov broj na jesen opada. Već je 15 godina službeni kraljevski pčelar, a kad je došao na razgovor za posao, otkrio je- nije imao pojma što će raditi.
- Vrtlar iz Buckinghamske palače poslao mi je mail i rekao da moramo razgovarati o pčelama. Mislio sam da imaju neki problem i da im treba pomoć. I tako sam ostao. Nadam se da ću ostati i za Charlesove vladavine, rekao je John Chapple dodajući da ga je posao vodio po cijelom svijetu te da je kroz njega upoznao sjajne ljude.
- Privilegij je da sam poznavao kraljicu Elizabetu II.
Kraljevski pčelar inače brine za tzv. tamne europske pčele, konkretnije ‘londonske mješanke‘ koje tamo žive još od ledenog doba. Krupne su građe sa zatupljenim zatkom, kratkog jezika i tamno sivom gotovo crnom bojom tijela. Obavještavanje pčela o važnim stvarima u životu njihovih pčelara poput rođendana, vjenčanja ili smrti tradicija je u mnogim europskim zemljama poput Walesa, Njemačke, Nizozemske, Francuske i SAD-a, piše Jutarnji list.
