Na svom Instagram profilu Guardian je objavio poguban utjecaj društvenih mreža na mjesta do kojih ste doputovali kao turisti nadajući se jedinstvenom doživljaju.
Danas, međutim, mnogi putnici putuju na udaljena odredišta u potrazi za savršenom slikom. Ali, pod koju cijenu? - napominje Guardian u opisu posta kojim se ilustrira pretjerana turistifikacija raznih mjesta u Europi.

Kad je fotografkinja @natachademahieu u kolovozu prošle godine stigla na obalu Oberseea, zabačenog njemačkog jezera okruženog bujnim zelenim planinama i dramatičnim vodopadima, suočila se s Instagramom nasuprot stvarnosti. Bilo je prohladno i padala je kiša, ali dok su turisti dolazili i fotografirali se, Natacha De Mahieu primijetila je kako mnogi skidaju gotovo sve slojeve tople odjeće prkoseći hladnoći, e kako bi na društvenoj mreži prenijeli lažnu sliku blaženog ljeta.
Za seriju svojih fotografija u sklopu projekta za magisterij iz dokumentarne fotografije, De Mahieu je obišla neke od europskih turističkih destinacija s najviše geotagova na Instagramu (uz svaku piše koliko ih je do tog trenutka - op.). Umjesto da pokuša dobiti "savršenu" Instagram snimku, izradila je 'timelapse' kolaž koji je pokazao stvarnost s kojom su se suočili ljudi koji su posjetili to mjesto tijekom određenog vremenskog razdoblja. Serija, koju ona naziva Theatre of Authenticity (Tetar autentičnosti), vizualni je komentar o tome kako društvene mreže mogu pretvoriti neka mjesta u turističke destinacije koje naprosto morate posjetiti i kako objava influencera na Instagramu može previše otvoriti neke brane.
"Htjela sam prikazati utjecaj te vrste navodno 'nevidljivog turizma' na ova mjesta. Kad kažem nevidljiv, mislim na ono da - kad ste tamo - imate osjećaj kao da ste tamo bili sami. Ali, tamo ide mnogo ljudi", kaže ona. Na primjer, De Mahieuova je snimila Pont d’Arc, veliki prirodni most u Ardècheu u jugoistočnoj Francuskoj, tako da je finalni kolaž napravljen od fotografija snimljenih u razdoblju od 80 minuta na vrhuncu turističke sezone. Za konačni rezultat, napravljen od 100 slika, trebalo joj je više od tjedan dana - piše u postu objavljenom 22. kolovoza.

"Ne pomaže to što časopisi i novine sva ova mjesta prikazuju pod naslovima poput "Deset skrivenih plaža (itd.) za koje nikada niste čuli!" Tiha, skrovita plaža na kojoj sam proveo djetinjstvo u Cornwallu sada je toliko krcata da jedva možete pronaći mjesto za sjesti."
"Smatram da bi časopisi koji angažiraju te influencere mogli biti korijen ovog problema. To uzrokuje nepopravljivu štetu."
"Svjetska populacija je 8 milijardi. Sigurno je da mora biti malo gužve."
"Stvarno cool foto projekt, ali mislim da je to složenija priča od "oh, vidi sve ove ljude koji dolaze, mora da je to loša stvar". Nisam siguran da je posramljivanje ljudi zbog lijepog odmora odgovor."
"Istočna Europa ima toliko sjajnih mjesta i netaknutih nacionalnih parkova za planinarenje. Nemojte nikome reći."

Na svom Instagram profilu Guardian je objavio poguban utjecaj društvenih mreža na mjesta do kojih ste doputovali kao turisti nadajući se jedinstvenom doživljaju.
Danas, međutim, mnogi putnici putuju na udaljena odredišta u potrazi za savršenom slikom. Ali, pod koju cijenu? - napominje Guardian u opisu posta kojim se ilustrira pretjerana turistifikacija raznih mjesta u Europi.

Kad je fotografkinja @natachademahieu u kolovozu prošle godine stigla na obalu Oberseea, zabačenog njemačkog jezera okruženog bujnim zelenim planinama i dramatičnim vodopadima, suočila se s Instagramom nasuprot stvarnosti. Bilo je prohladno i padala je kiša, ali dok su turisti dolazili i fotografirali se, Natacha De Mahieu primijetila je kako mnogi skidaju gotovo sve slojeve tople odjeće prkoseći hladnoći, e kako bi na društvenoj mreži prenijeli lažnu sliku blaženog ljeta.
Za seriju svojih fotografija u sklopu projekta za magisterij iz dokumentarne fotografije, De Mahieu je obišla neke od europskih turističkih destinacija s najviše geotagova na Instagramu (uz svaku piše koliko ih je do tog trenutka - op.). Umjesto da pokuša dobiti "savršenu" Instagram snimku, izradila je 'timelapse' kolaž koji je pokazao stvarnost s kojom su se suočili ljudi koji su posjetili to mjesto tijekom određenog vremenskog razdoblja. Serija, koju ona naziva Theatre of Authenticity (Tetar autentičnosti), vizualni je komentar o tome kako društvene mreže mogu pretvoriti neka mjesta u turističke destinacije koje naprosto morate posjetiti i kako objava influencera na Instagramu može previše otvoriti neke brane.
"Htjela sam prikazati utjecaj te vrste navodno 'nevidljivog turizma' na ova mjesta. Kad kažem nevidljiv, mislim na ono da - kad ste tamo - imate osjećaj kao da ste tamo bili sami. Ali, tamo ide mnogo ljudi", kaže ona. Na primjer, De Mahieuova je snimila Pont d’Arc, veliki prirodni most u Ardècheu u jugoistočnoj Francuskoj, tako da je finalni kolaž napravljen od fotografija snimljenih u razdoblju od 80 minuta na vrhuncu turističke sezone. Za konačni rezultat, napravljen od 100 slika, trebalo joj je više od tjedan dana - piše u postu objavljenom 22. kolovoza.

"Ne pomaže to što časopisi i novine sva ova mjesta prikazuju pod naslovima poput "Deset skrivenih plaža (itd.) za koje nikada niste čuli!" Tiha, skrovita plaža na kojoj sam proveo djetinjstvo u Cornwallu sada je toliko krcata da jedva možete pronaći mjesto za sjesti."
"Smatram da bi časopisi koji angažiraju te influencere mogli biti korijen ovog problema. To uzrokuje nepopravljivu štetu."
