Udio novih električnih automobila na europskom tržištu raste rapidno, no sve je više pitanja oko njihove sigurnosti. Osim požara koje je jako teško ugasiti sada je u središte pažnje došla još jedna činjenica. Također, nesreće u kojima sudjeluju električni automobili u prosjeku uzrokuju više nego dvostruku materijalnu štetu u odnosu na nesreće u kojima sudjeluju samo "klasični automobili".

Problem je u tome što su električni automobili u prosjeku mnogo snažniji i skuplji od drugih automobila.

Prema podacima osiguravajuće kuće Axa, štete su u pravilu veće ako je automobil snažniji. Njihova je studija također pokazala da teška baterija, odnosno velika težina električnih automobila osjetno utječe na vozne osobine automobila. Prema njima, ponašanje ovakvih automobila u vožnji jako se razlikuje od ponašanja "klasičnih automobila". Troškove nesreće dodatno povećavaju troškovi koji su potrebni za gašenje požara, te zbrinjavanje i "karantenu" baterije nakon sudara, piše Autoklub.hr.

Prema podacima osiguravajuće kuće Axa, štete su u pravilu veće ako je automobil snažniji. Njihova je studija također pokazala da teška baterija, odnosno velika težina električnih automobila osjetno utječe na vozne osobine automobila. Prema njima, ponašanje ovakvih automobila u vožnji jako se razlikuje od ponašanja "klasičnih automobila". Troškove nesreće dodatno povećavaju troškovi koji su potrebni za gašenje požara, te zbrinjavanje i "karantenu" baterije nakon sudara, piše Autoklub.hr.
