Ostavite li automobil dugo na parkiralištu i ne vozite li ga tjednima, mogli biste imati velikih problema. Mnogi dijelovi vozila, naime, ne podnose dugo stajanje.

Parkirate li vozilo zimi i puno je soli, ne treba posebno napominjati kakav će utjecaj imati na limene površine automobila. Korozija neće biti vidljiva odmah, ali će se definitivno brže razviti.

Nakon provjere akumulatora, ulja, rashladne tekućine i tekućine za kočnice, automobil se mora pokrenuti i ostaviti da radi u praznom hodu između pet i 10 minuta kako bi se zagrijao i ulje podmazalo različite elemente.

Treba provjeriti osigurače koji odgovaraju električnim komponentama koje ne rade nakon razdoblja neaktivnosti.

Diskovi na kočnicama će zahrđati i prva kočenja će biti daleko od performansi kočnica kad su potpuno ispravne. Kočiona sila bit će mnogo slabija i morat će proći neko vrijeme prije nego što se kočnice vrate punoj funkcionalnosti. Ostavljate li automobil da stoji duže vrijeme, ne potežite ručnu kočnicu, jer bi se pločice i diskovi mogli zaglaviti.

Tekućina za kočnice s vremenom gubi svoja svojstva. U pravilu se to događa kada je automobil zaustavljen dulje od šest mjeseci.

Parkirate li vozilo zimi i puno je soli, ne treba posebno napominjati kakav će utjecaj imati na limene površine automobila. Korozija neće biti vidljiva odmah, ali će se definitivno brže razviti.

Nakon provjere akumulatora, ulja, rashladne tekućine i tekućine za kočnice, automobil se mora pokrenuti i ostaviti da radi u praznom hodu između pet i 10 minuta kako bi se zagrijao i ulje podmazalo različite elemente.
