Kina je objavila probne propise za "dotjerivanje" gena biljaka kako bi ubrzala proces poboljšanja uroda i zajamčila sigurnu opskrbu hranom.

Geni se "dotjerivanjem" mijenjaju kako bi se poboljšao prinos, što neki znanstvenici smatraju manje rizičnim od genetske modifikacije koja uključuje prijenos gena druge vrste biljke ili neke životinje, objašnjava Reuters.

Tehnologija je precizna pa jamči veću brzinu nego konvencionalni uzgoj i genetska modifikacija i manje troškove.

Kineski istraživači već su je koristili za kreiranje sjemena zelene salate bogate vitaminom C i riže otporne na herbicide, navodi Global Times.

Nacrtom zakona propisuje se da se nakon završetka pilot-testiranja biljke "uređenih" gena može podnijeti zahtjev za izdavanjem dozvole za proizvodnju, čime se preskaču dugotrajna terenska ispitivanja, potrebna u slučaju genetske modifikacije.

To znači da bi pribavljanje dozvole moglo potrajati samo godinu dvije, tumači predsjedatelj kompanije za proizvodnju sjemena Arigin Agritech Han Gengchen, u usporedbi s nekih šest godina kada je u pitanju GM kultura.

Nove smjernice ministarstva za poljoprivredu i ruralne poslove, objavljene u ponedjeljak navečer, nadovezuju se na mjere preustroja industrije sjemena, koju smatraju slabom karikom u stvaranju uvjeta za sigurnu opskrbu hranom u zemlji s najviše stanovnika na svijetu.

Nije jasno koliko je tvrtki ili instituta spremno podnijeti zahtjev za dozvolu sadnje biljaka uređenih gena, napominje Reuters.

Kina već godinama razmatra pitanje sadnje GM usjeva za prehranu ljudi i stoke, ali je ispred nekih država u predlaganju jasnih i relativno brzih postupaka genetskog "dotjerivanja" poljoprivrednih kultura.

Peking je nedavno usvojio i nove propise koji postavljaju jasna pravila igre za odobrenje genetski modificiranih (GM) usjeva.

Kina se u podmirivanju potražnje za sjemenjem povrća trenutno u velikoj mjeri oslanja na uvoz.

Kina je objavila probne propise za "dotjerivanje" gena biljaka kako bi ubrzala proces poboljšanja uroda i zajamčila sigurnu opskrbu hranom.

Geni se "dotjerivanjem" mijenjaju kako bi se poboljšao prinos, što neki znanstvenici smatraju manje rizičnim od genetske modifikacije koja uključuje prijenos gena druge vrste biljke ili neke životinje, objašnjava Reuters.

Tehnologija je precizna pa jamči veću brzinu nego konvencionalni uzgoj i genetska modifikacija i manje troškove.

Kineski istraživači već su je koristili za kreiranje sjemena zelene salate bogate vitaminom C i riže otporne na herbicide, navodi Global Times.

Nacrtom zakona propisuje se da se nakon završetka pilot-testiranja biljke "uređenih" gena može podnijeti zahtjev za izdavanjem dozvole za proizvodnju, čime se preskaču dugotrajna terenska ispitivanja, potrebna u slučaju genetske modifikacije.

To znači da bi pribavljanje dozvole moglo potrajati samo godinu dvije, tumači predsjedatelj kompanije za proizvodnju sjemena Arigin Agritech Han Gengchen, u usporedbi s nekih šest godina kada je u pitanju GM kultura.

Nove smjernice ministarstva za poljoprivredu i ruralne poslove, objavljene u ponedjeljak navečer, nadovezuju se na mjere preustroja industrije sjemena, koju smatraju slabom karikom u stvaranju uvjeta za sigurnu opskrbu hranom u zemlji s najviše stanovnika na svijetu.

Nije jasno koliko je tvrtki ili instituta spremno podnijeti zahtjev za dozvolu sadnje biljaka uređenih gena, napominje Reuters.

Kina već godinama razmatra pitanje sadnje GM usjeva za prehranu ljudi i stoke, ali je ispred nekih država u predlaganju jasnih i relativno brzih postupaka genetskog "dotjerivanja" poljoprivrednih kultura.

Peking je nedavno usvojio i nove propise koji postavljaju jasna pravila igre za odobrenje genetski modificiranih (GM) usjeva.

Kina se u podmirivanju potražnje za sjemenjem povrća trenutno u velikoj mjeri oslanja na uvoz.
