U utorak u 19 sati u Salonu Galić u Splitu bit će otvorena izložba "Poslanica" Denisa Butorca.

- Dosadašnja umjetnička produkcija Denisa Butorca mogla bi se svesti na sukob individualnog i društvenog identiteta. On vlastitu poziciju Drugog i drugačijeg suprotstavlja pretpostavljenom društvenom identitetu mjesta i vremena u kojemu je odrastao. U svojim ranijim serijama snimanjem intimnih portreta braće u seriji Moja tri brata gradi zapostavljeni odnos i traži zajednički jezik, Portretom majke dekonstruira vlastiti rodni identitet u trenutku bojanja majčine kose, zatim se u performativnoj reimaginaciji rituala kolinja u seriji Homesick obračunava s tradicijom, te naposljetku pretakanjem narativa nenapisane Poslanice ocu vizualno rekonstruira sjećanja koja su ga odredila kao osobu.

U brojnim intervjuima o radu Poslanica, koji je ujedno i njegovi diplomski rad s kojim je 2019. godine osvojio i Nagradu Marina Viculin udruge Organ vida, Denis Butorac naglašava važnost vlastitog djetinjstva i uvjeta odrastanja za umjetnički rad. U tim razgovorima poput lajtmotiva ponavljaju se pojmovi religije, patrijarhalne obitelji i oca, male sredine i Domovinskog rata u čijim se okvirima nije uspio prepoznati. U već spomenutom asocijativnom dijelu izložbe on neutralizira i/li negira sadržaj očevih ratnih memorabilija.

Fotografije iz rata okrenute na poleđinu te topovske čahure i projektili snimljeni ujednačenim multipliciranjem postaju objekti lišeni aure koju imaju za njegovog oca. Oni su samo simboli rata koji autor nije proživio, no koji je do određene mjere uvjetovao njegov odgoj i time ostavio trag na njegovom životu. Uz muškost rata, igranje rodnih uloga u djetinjstvu predstavljeno nam je kroz dva izloška; list bojanke na kojoj sin pomaže ocu u sadnji bora te fotografiju iz Denisova djetinjstva na kojoj se on okružen ženama iz svoje obitelji igra s lutkom, kaže kustosica izložbe Dunja Nekić.

Denis Butorac rođen je 1992. Diplomirao je na Katedri za Fotografiju pri Akademiji dramske umjetnosti u Zagrebu. Dobitnik je Dekanove i dviju Rektorovih nagrada. Izlagao je na nekoliko samostalnih i grupnih izložbi u Hrvatskoj i inozemstvu.

U svom umjetničkom radu, fotografiju koristi kao medij kojim najčešće istražuje teme poput identiteta, obitelji i tradicije, čime gradi vlastite narativne serije u kojima spaja dokumentarni i konceptualni rad.

- Dosadašnja umjetnička produkcija Denisa Butorca mogla bi se svesti na sukob individualnog i društvenog identiteta. On vlastitu poziciju Drugog i drugačijeg suprotstavlja pretpostavljenom društvenom identitetu mjesta i vremena u kojemu je odrastao. U svojim ranijim serijama snimanjem intimnih portreta braće u seriji Moja tri brata gradi zapostavljeni odnos i traži zajednički jezik, Portretom majke dekonstruira vlastiti rodni identitet u trenutku bojanja majčine kose, zatim se u performativnoj reimaginaciji rituala kolinja u seriji Homesick obračunava s tradicijom, te naposljetku pretakanjem narativa nenapisane Poslanice ocu vizualno rekonstruira sjećanja koja su ga odredila kao osobu.

U brojnim intervjuima o radu Poslanica, koji je ujedno i njegovi diplomski rad s kojim je 2019. godine osvojio i Nagradu Marina Viculin udruge Organ vida, Denis Butorac naglašava važnost vlastitog djetinjstva i uvjeta odrastanja za umjetnički rad. U tim razgovorima poput lajtmotiva ponavljaju se pojmovi religije, patrijarhalne obitelji i oca, male sredine i Domovinskog rata u čijim se okvirima nije uspio prepoznati. U već spomenutom asocijativnom dijelu izložbe on neutralizira i/li negira sadržaj očevih ratnih memorabilija.

Fotografije iz rata okrenute na poleđinu te topovske čahure i projektili snimljeni ujednačenim multipliciranjem postaju objekti lišeni aure koju imaju za njegovog oca. Oni su samo simboli rata koji autor nije proživio, no koji je do određene mjere uvjetovao njegov odgoj i time ostavio trag na njegovom životu. Uz muškost rata, igranje rodnih uloga u djetinjstvu predstavljeno nam je kroz dva izloška; list bojanke na kojoj sin pomaže ocu u sadnji bora te fotografiju iz Denisova djetinjstva na kojoj se on okružen ženama iz svoje obitelji igra s lutkom, kaže kustosica izložbe Dunja Nekić.

Denis Butorac rođen je 1992. Diplomirao je na Katedri za Fotografiju pri Akademiji dramske umjetnosti u Zagrebu. Dobitnik je Dekanove i dviju Rektorovih nagrada. Izlagao je na nekoliko samostalnih i grupnih izložbi u Hrvatskoj i inozemstvu.

U svom umjetničkom radu, fotografiju koristi kao medij kojim najčešće istražuje teme poput identiteta, obitelji i tradicije, čime gradi vlastite narativne serije u kojima spaja dokumentarni i konceptualni rad.

U utorak u 19 sati u Salonu Galić u Splitu bit će otvorena izložba "Poslanica" Denisa Butorca.

- Dosadašnja umjetnička produkcija Denisa Butorca mogla bi se svesti na sukob individualnog i društvenog identiteta. On vlastitu poziciju Drugog i drugačijeg suprotstavlja pretpostavljenom društvenom identitetu mjesta i vremena u kojemu je odrastao.
