Srpanj i Cannes neobična su kombinacija, ali najjači festival za film na svijetu morao se prilagoditi i pomjeriti tradicionalne svibanjske datume kako ne bi i drugu godinu zaredom izgubio filmske premijere "uživo". Odgoda je urodila plodom: mnoštvo svjetskih filmaša sjatilo se na sunčani jug Francuske kako bi predstavili premijerne filmove i prošetali crvenim tepihom.

Da se poneka maska nije proteklih dana ukazala na "red carpetu", netko bi mogao pomisliti da je Cannes u 2019., vremenu "starog normalnog", a ne "novog (ne)normalnog" 2021. godine. Održavanje Cannesa u približno tradicionalnom izdanju velika je stvar za oporavak filmske industrije.

Cannes daje maksimalnu vidljivost kvalitetnim (festivalskim/art) filmovima čije se premijere nestrpljivo očekuju i trasira njihovu (kino)distribuciju. Ove godine bilo je dosta nestrpljivo očekivanih filmova.

Ako treba izdvojiti osobno najočekivanije, to su "Bendetta" iz glavne konkurencije u režiji legendarnog Paula Verhoevena i "Rien à foutre" ("Zero Fucks Given") iz Tjedna kritike/Le Semaine de la Critique sa zvijezdom "Adelina života" Adèle Exarchopoulos u glavnoj ulozi.

Imena Verhoevena i Exarchopoulos ovom kritičaru znače puno: on kao autor niske klasika, ona kao akterica ponajboljeg filma novog milenija. No, dok će se za "Bendettu" trebati strpjeti do hrvatske premijere, potencijalno na Vukovar Film Festivalu, "Rien à foutre" se na veliku sreću uspio ekskluzivno pogledati i ispunio je velika očekivanja.

Kad je potpisnik ovih redaka vidio fotografije i klipove iz filma, imao je osjećaj da bi mogao biti prava stvar i da je Exarchopoulos konačno dobila ulogu dostojnu "La vie d'Adele". Osjećaj nije prevario. "Zero Fucks Given", redateljskog dua Julie Lecoustre – Emmanuel Marre, jedan je od najboljih filmova pogledanih od početka 2021. s intimnom izvedbom magnetične Adele na tragu "Adele", možda čak i boljom.

Otkako je od Spielbergova žirija osvojila specijalnu Zlatnu palmu na Cannesu 2013. za fenomenalnu karakternu studiju u "Adelinu životu", zajedno s partnericom Leom Seydoux, darovita mlada francuska glumica grčkih korijena dugo je tražila projekt i ulogu takvoga kalibra, ali nikako da ih pronađe. Nije joj bilo lako s obzirom na to da joj se odmah na početku karijere dogodilo nešto tako epohalno kao "La vie d'Adele", što neki glumci dugo čekaju, a neki i ne dočekaju.

Exarchopoulos je proteklih osam godina najviše podsjetila na svoj talent u komičnoj drami "Sibyl" iz 2019., no tu je glavn(ij)u riječ ipak vodila Virginie Efira, buduća zvijezda "Bendette". Zato joj je baš trebao (njezin) film kakav je "Rien à foutre", u kojem se opet (s)nalazi takoreći u svakom kadru.

Glumica glumi Cassandre, stjuardesu "low cost" kompanije na letu prema (n)igdje. Stjuardese nisu često glavne akterice filmova ili serija. Na pamet padaju Pam Grier u "Jackie Brown", Gwyneth Paltrow u "Stjuardese lete u nebo" i Kaley Cuoco u "Stjuardesi". Međutim, nijedna filmska/serijska stjuardesa nije dobila ovakav intiman dramski tretman, pravu karakternu studiju koja opservacijski i približno dokumentaristički oslikava (avio)profesiju i njezinu ekonomiju sada i ovdje.

U filmu na duhovnoj, egzistencijalističnoj i karakternoj razini humorne drame "Ni na nebu ni na zemlji" s Georgeom Clooneyjem pratimo nekoliko dana u životu Cassandre na relaciji avion – kuća – birtija. Ona se, kao i ostale stjuardese, mora smiješiti putnicima, sva zgodna i skockana u plavom odijelu s bijelom košuljom i žutom maramom, te im prodati što više "duty free" artikala tijekom leta među oblacima.

Posao je repetitivan, od jednog punog aviona, hladnog i usamljenog terminala do drugog, a i njezin privatni život zapeo je u petlji od jednog do drugog kluba i ljubavi za jednu noć pronađene na Tinderu pomoću polunagih "selfieja". Imamo dojam da se Cassandre zabavlja kao tipična milenijalka bez veza i obaveza (osim posla) te da je, "pardon my French", dosegnula "bol kurca, razinu nula", kako bi glasio slobodan prijevod naslova filma.

Odnosno, da dok radi ili se zabavlja, živi (za) danas, nema vremena malo (za)stati i dublje porazmisliti o sebi, životu i budućnosti dok se nalazi u trajnom tranzitu i i samoizolaciji, bježeći od sebe, svoje usamljenosti i osjećaja koje pokušava potisnuti nakon majčine smrti.

Istina, Cassandre razmatra da se prijavi za posao aviokompanije iz Dubaija koja nudi "više putovanja i novi život", ali koči je nedovoljno tečan engleski, kao i njezinu tumačicu Adele, što ju je sigurno koštalo većih nastupa u anglofonim filmovima (epizodne ili sporedne uloge u "The Last Face" Seana Penna i "Bijela vrana" Ralpha Fiennesa).

Tračak metafilmskoga opstoji u liku Cassandre za Exarchopoulos i ona je toga svjesna, najviše u sceni Zoom intervjua za novi posao u kojoj se mogla prepoznati ne samo ona kao glumica, nego i svatko u posljednjih godinu i nešto dana. "Mogu biti plavuša", kaže Cassandre kao da iz nje progovara Adele, spremna obojiti kosu za ulogu. Između stjuardese i glumice postoje sličnosti.

Pojavnost je sve u oba posla, a i jedne i druge nose masku, postaju netko drugi, glume, kontroliraju emocije, u slučaju stjuardese skrivene iza crvenog ruža, olovke za oči i smiješka od milijun dolara, kakav glumačke zvijezde nose na crvenim tepisima.

U sjajnoj, glumački najboljoj sceni filma Cassandre je na treningu za "cabin manager" poziciju i mora vježbati kako zadržati uvjerljiv (zamrznuti) osmijeh na 30 sekundi. "Sve emocije koje imaš moraš ostaviti sa strane i biti u trenutku. Nikoga nije briga za tvoj privatni život i osobne probleme, što si radila jučer i što ćeš raditi danas", govori joj "trenerica", egzistencijalistički svodeći modernu otuđenost.

Pa ipak, emocije će se prišuljati iz prikrajka kad se Cassandre najmanje nada i proviriti iz rupica na njezinu licu, od traženog osmijeha do spontane tuge na rubu suza, onako kao što ona u jednom danu avionom prođe sva godišnja doba, od sunca do kiše i snijega. Suočavanje s emocijama bilo joj je potrebno da krene dalje, da njezin let prema nigdje postane let prema negdje, da sleti i ponovno poleti. Nakon slijetanja slijedi polijetanje, i tako ukrug, od neba do zemlje i natrag.

U Cannesu s dva filma

Adele Exarchopoulos je na Cannesu predstavila i film "Bac Nord" ("The Stronghold"), žestoku krimi dramu o uličnom kriminalu u Marseillesu, gdje je razina zločina veća nego igdje u Francuskoj.

Srpanj i Cannes neobična su kombinacija, ali najjači festival za film na svijetu morao se prilagoditi i pomjeriti tradicionalne svibanjske datume kako ne bi i drugu godinu zaredom izgubio filmske premijere "uživo". Odgoda je urodila plodom: mnoštvo svjetskih filmaša sjatilo se na sunčani jug Francuske kako bi predstavili premijerne filmove i prošetali crvenim tepihom.

Da se poneka maska nije proteklih dana ukazala na "red carpetu", netko bi mogao pomisliti da je Cannes u 2019., vremenu "starog normalnog", a ne "novog (ne)normalnog" 2021. godine. Održavanje Cannesa u približno tradicionalnom izdanju velika je stvar za oporavak filmske industrije.

Cannes daje maksimalnu vidljivost kvalitetnim (festivalskim/art) filmovima čije se premijere nestrpljivo očekuju i trasira njihovu (kino)distribuciju. Ove godine bilo je dosta nestrpljivo očekivanih filmova.

Ako treba izdvojiti osobno najočekivanije, to su "Bendetta" iz glavne konkurencije u režiji legendarnog Paula Verhoevena i "Rien à foutre" ("Zero Fucks Given") iz Tjedna kritike/Le Semaine de la Critique sa zvijezdom "Adelina života" Adèle Exarchopoulos u glavnoj ulozi.

Imena Verhoevena i Exarchopoulos ovom kritičaru znače puno: on kao autor niske klasika, ona kao akterica ponajboljeg filma novog milenija. No, dok će se za "Bendettu" trebati strpjeti do hrvatske premijere, potencijalno na Vukovar Film Festivalu, "Rien à foutre" se na veliku sreću uspio ekskluzivno pogledati i ispunio je velika očekivanja.

Kad je potpisnik ovih redaka vidio fotografije i klipove iz filma, imao je osjećaj da bi mogao biti prava stvar i da je Exarchopoulos konačno dobila ulogu dostojnu "La vie d'Adele". Osjećaj nije prevario. "Zero Fucks Given", redateljskog dua Julie Lecoustre – Emmanuel Marre, jedan je od najboljih filmova pogledanih od početka 2021. s intimnom izvedbom magnetične Adele na tragu "Adele", možda čak i boljom.

Otkako je od Spielbergova žirija osvojila specijalnu Zlatnu palmu na Cannesu 2013. za fenomenalnu karakternu studiju u "Adelinu životu", zajedno s partnericom Leom Seydoux, darovita mlada francuska glumica grčkih korijena dugo je tražila projekt i ulogu takvoga kalibra, ali nikako da ih pronađe. Nije joj bilo lako s obzirom na to da joj se odmah na početku karijere dogodilo nešto tako epohalno kao "La vie d'Adele", što neki glumci dugo čekaju, a neki i ne dočekaju.

Exarchopoulos je proteklih osam godina najviše podsjetila na svoj talent u komičnoj drami "Sibyl" iz 2019., no tu je glavn(ij)u riječ ipak vodila Virginie Efira, buduća zvijezda "Bendette". Zato joj je baš trebao (njezin) film kakav je "Rien à foutre", u kojem se opet (s)nalazi takoreći u svakom kadru.

Glumica glumi Cassandre, stjuardesu "low cost" kompanije na letu prema (n)igdje. Stjuardese nisu često glavne akterice filmova ili serija. Na pamet padaju Pam Grier u "Jackie Brown", Gwyneth Paltrow u "Stjuardese lete u nebo" i Kaley Cuoco u "Stjuardesi". Međutim, nijedna filmska/serijska stjuardesa nije dobila ovakav intiman dramski tretman, pravu karakternu studiju koja opservacijski i približno dokumentaristički oslikava (avio)profesiju i njezinu ekonomiju sada i ovdje.

U filmu na duhovnoj, egzistencijalističnoj i karakternoj razini humorne drame "Ni na nebu ni na zemlji" s Georgeom Clooneyjem pratimo nekoliko dana u životu Cassandre na relaciji avion – kuća – birtija. Ona se, kao i ostale stjuardese, mora smiješiti putnicima, sva zgodna i skockana u plavom odijelu s bijelom košuljom i žutom maramom, te im prodati što više "duty free" artikala tijekom leta među oblacima.

Posao je repetitivan, od jednog punog aviona, hladnog i usamljenog terminala do drugog, a i njezin privatni život zapeo je u petlji od jednog do drugog kluba i ljubavi za jednu noć pronađene na Tinderu pomoću polunagih "selfieja". Imamo dojam da se Cassandre zabavlja kao tipična milenijalka bez veza i obaveza (osim posla) te da je, "pardon my French", dosegnula "bol kurca, razinu nula", kako bi glasio slobodan prijevod naslova filma.

Odnosno, da dok radi ili se zabavlja, živi (za) danas, nema vremena malo (za)stati i dublje porazmisliti o sebi, životu i budućnosti dok se nalazi u trajnom tranzitu i i samoizolaciji, bježeći od sebe, svoje usamljenosti i osjećaja koje pokušava potisnuti nakon majčine smrti.

Istina, Cassandre razmatra da se prijavi za posao aviokompanije iz Dubaija koja nudi "više putovanja i novi život", ali koči je nedovoljno tečan engleski, kao i njezinu tumačicu Adele, što ju je sigurno koštalo većih nastupa u anglofonim filmovima (epizodne ili sporedne uloge u "The Last Face" Seana Penna i "Bijela vrana" Ralpha Fiennesa).

Tračak metafilmskoga opstoji u liku Cassandre za Exarchopoulos i ona je toga svjesna, najviše u sceni Zoom intervjua za novi posao u kojoj se mogla prepoznati ne samo ona kao glumica, nego i svatko u posljednjih godinu i nešto dana. "Mogu biti plavuša", kaže Cassandre kao da iz nje progovara Adele, spremna obojiti kosu za ulogu. Između stjuardese i glumice postoje sličnosti.

Pojavnost je sve u oba posla, a i jedne i druge nose masku, postaju netko drugi, glume, kontroliraju emocije, u slučaju stjuardese skrivene iza crvenog ruža, olovke za oči i smiješka od milijun dolara, kakav glumačke zvijezde nose na crvenim tepisima.

U sjajnoj, glumački najboljoj sceni filma Cassandre je na treningu za "cabin manager" poziciju i mora vježbati kako zadržati uvjerljiv (zamrznuti) osmijeh na 30 sekundi. "Sve emocije koje imaš moraš ostaviti sa strane i biti u trenutku. Nikoga nije briga za tvoj privatni život i osobne probleme, što si radila jučer i što ćeš raditi danas", govori joj "trenerica", egzistencijalistički svodeći modernu otuđenost.

Pa ipak, emocije će se prišuljati iz prikrajka kad se Cassandre najmanje nada i proviriti iz rupica na njezinu licu, od traženog osmijeha do spontane tuge na rubu suza, onako kao što ona u jednom danu avionom prođe sva godišnja doba, od sunca do kiše i snijega. Suočavanje s emocijama bilo joj je potrebno da krene dalje, da njezin let prema nigdje postane let prema negdje, da sleti i ponovno poleti. Nakon slijetanja slijedi polijetanje, i tako ukrug, od neba do zemlje i natrag.

Adele Exarchopoulos je na Cannesu predstavila i film "Bac Nord" ("The Stronghold"), žestoku krimi dramu o uličnom kriminalu u Marseillesu, gdje je razina zločina veća nego igdje u Francuskoj.
