Imigrantska drama postaje obiteljska u meksičkom filmu "Vukovi", još jednom lijepom imigrantsko-dramskom ostvarenju na hrvatskom kinorepertoaru nakon "Minarija". Okej, "Los lobos" ili "The Wolves" Samuela Kishija nije se dobacio do Oscar nominacija kao "Minari", ali stigao je u naša kina s epitetom festivalskog hita 2020. godine (Busan, Prag...), prikazanog i na famoznom Berlinaleu.

"Vukovi" su jedan od boljih novijih festivalskih art filmova, dostojan nastavljač tradicije izuzetnih novomilenijskih obiteljskih drama poput japanske "Nitko ne zna" Hirokazua Kore-ede i američke "Projekt Florida" Seana Bakera.

Meksički redatelj Kishi utemeljio je (autobiografsku) priču na vlastitom imigrantskom iskustvu, ali je, hvalevrijedno, nije politizirao u skladu s vremenom pa da "Los lobos" ispadne pamflet kontra Trumpove politike podizanja zida prema Meksiku, što bi danas kad je film u kinima bilo "passe" s obzirom na smjenu u američkom političkom vrhu.

Mnoštvo je takvih politički intoniranih filmova festivalske art provenijencije i još jedan nije nužno potreban, ali nikad dosta obiteljskih drama kao što su "Nobody Knows" i "The Florida Project". Možda bi "Vukovi" bili taj tip filma da Kishi nije priču odlučio ispričati očima djece, baš kao Kore-eda i Baker, koja, dakako, ne znaju za imigrantsku politiku i Trumpa.

Djeca su braća Max i Leo (Maximiliano i Leonardo Najar Marquez u ponajboljim dječjim izvedbama posljednjih godina) koji s majkom Lucijom (Martha Reyes Arias u prvoj glavnoj ulozi) dolaze iz Meksika u američku državu Novi Meksiko, točnije grad Albuquerque, na čijim rubovima traže smještaj kakav mogu priuštiti i na koncu iznajmljuju trošni stan s minimalno namještaja u vlasništvu gospođe Chang (Cici Lau).

"Jesmo li sad blizu 'Disneyja' ('Disneylanda')", pita mamu mali Leo. Naravno, Lucia mora pronaći nekakav poslić ili više njih kako bi prehranila svoje "vučiće", kako zove Maxa i Lea. Svakog jutra ona odlazi raditi i biti eksploatirana od strane kapitalističkog sistema koji ne haje za roditelje/samohrane majke, ostavljajući sinove same kući uz sedam pravila snimljenih na kasetofonu-diktafonu (... nikad ne napuštajte stan, ne šetajte bosi po tapetu...), uključujući ono najvažnije da se "uvijek zagrle nakon svađe".

"Zagrle" je ključna riječ za čitanje filma. Prilično divno režirani i glumljeni "Los lobos" utjelovljenje je majčinskog i bratskog zagrljaja, rijetko topao i ljudski film koji ne bježi od realističnog oslikavanja problema, ali optimistički nudi filmsku nadu u bolje sutra s puno taktilnosti, melankolije i nježnosti u redateljskom pristupu.

Cijeli film Kishu uspijeva formirati kao sjećanje iz nevinog djetinjstva s gotovo jednakom umješnošću kao južnokorejski redatelj Lee Isaac Chung ("Minari"), režirajući na zlatnoj dokudramskoj sredini između životnog i filmičnog, zbilje i fikcije. Klince glume stvarna braća koja evocirajući redateljevo djetinjstvo evociraju i proživljavaju vlastito.

Najbolji dijelovi "Vukova" odvijaju se kad klinci ostanu sami i naizgled se ne događa ništa posebno u njihovu životu, a događa se sve. Detalji djetinjstva su sjajno evocirani, kad djeca kao djeca razbijaju dosadu imaginacijom, primjerice da olovkama crtaju vukove kao svoje alter-ego likove na zidovima ili se maskiraju u vučje nindže. "Tko smo mi? Vukoviiii", dodavaju se braća.

"Los lobos" se ne libi nakratko postati živopisni animirani film u datim trenucima, kako bi ručna, ne računalna animacija oslikala skriveno carstvo dječje imaginacije prilikom adaptacije na novu sredinu i eskapističkog bijega od stvarnosti u zaigrani svijet mašte dok čekaju da ih majka odvede u šareni, čarobni "Disney(land)" kao simbol i pojam američkog sna i sreće, osobito za djecu (direktna poveznica "Vukova" s "Projektom Florida" s kojim bi ovaj film lijepo legao u kinomaratonu).

Kishi je pokazao da je spreman postati nasljednik Bakera i dio američke "indie" kinematografije u kojoj su intruzije crtića dobodošla pojava. Najveća vrlina njegova filma jest što izgleda iskreno, stvarno, proživljeno.

Nagrade na Berlinaleu

"Los lobos" je na Berlinaleu osvojio Grand Prix žirija programa "Generation Kplus", a dobio je i Peace Film Award.

Imigrantska drama postaje obiteljska u meksičkom filmu "Vukovi", još jednom lijepom imigrantsko-dramskom ostvarenju na hrvatskom kinorepertoaru nakon "Minarija". Okej, "Los lobos" ili "The Wolves" Samuela Kishija nije se dobacio do Oscar nominacija kao "Minari", ali stigao je u naša kina s epitetom festivalskog hita 2020. godine (Busan, Prag...), prikazanog i na famoznom Berlinaleu.

"Vukovi" su jedan od boljih novijih festivalskih art filmova, dostojan nastavljač tradicije izuzetnih novomilenijskih obiteljskih drama poput japanske "Nitko ne zna" Hirokazua Kore-ede i američke "Projekt Florida" Seana Bakera.

Meksički redatelj Kishi utemeljio je (autobiografsku) priču na vlastitom imigrantskom iskustvu, ali je, hvalevrijedno, nije politizirao u skladu s vremenom pa da "Los lobos" ispadne pamflet kontra Trumpove politike podizanja zida prema Meksiku, što bi danas kad je film u kinima bilo "passe" s obzirom na smjenu u američkom političkom vrhu.

Mnoštvo je takvih politički intoniranih filmova festivalske art provenijencije i još jedan nije nužno potreban, ali nikad dosta obiteljskih drama kao što su "Nobody Knows" i "The Florida Project". Možda bi "Vukovi" bili taj tip filma da Kishi nije priču odlučio ispričati očima djece, baš kao Kore-eda i Baker, koja, dakako, ne znaju za imigrantsku politiku i Trumpa.

Djeca su braća Max i Leo (Maximiliano i Leonardo Najar Marquez u ponajboljim dječjim izvedbama posljednjih godina) koji s majkom Lucijom (Martha Reyes Arias u prvoj glavnoj ulozi) dolaze iz Meksika u američku državu Novi Meksiko, točnije grad Albuquerque, na čijim rubovima traže smještaj kakav mogu priuštiti i na koncu iznajmljuju trošni stan s minimalno namještaja u vlasništvu gospođe Chang (Cici Lau).

"Jesmo li sad blizu 'Disneyja' ('Disneylanda')", pita mamu mali Leo. Naravno, Lucia mora pronaći nekakav poslić ili više njih kako bi prehranila svoje "vučiće", kako zove Maxa i Lea. Svakog jutra ona odlazi raditi i biti eksploatirana od strane kapitalističkog sistema koji ne haje za roditelje/samohrane majke, ostavljajući sinove same kući uz sedam pravila snimljenih na kasetofonu-diktafonu (... nikad ne napuštajte stan, ne šetajte bosi po tapetu...), uključujući ono najvažnije da se "uvijek zagrle nakon svađe".

"Zagrle" je ključna riječ za čitanje filma. Prilično divno režirani i glumljeni "Los lobos" utjelovljenje je majčinskog i bratskog zagrljaja, rijetko topao i ljudski film koji ne bježi od realističnog oslikavanja problema, ali optimistički nudi filmsku nadu u bolje sutra s puno taktilnosti, melankolije i nježnosti u redateljskom pristupu.

Cijeli film Kishu uspijeva formirati kao sjećanje iz nevinog djetinjstva s gotovo jednakom umješnošću kao južnokorejski redatelj Lee Isaac Chung ("Minari"), režirajući na zlatnoj dokudramskoj sredini između životnog i filmičnog, zbilje i fikcije. Klince glume stvarna braća koja evocirajući redateljevo djetinjstvo evociraju i proživljavaju vlastito.

Najbolji dijelovi "Vukova" odvijaju se kad klinci ostanu sami i naizgled se ne događa ništa posebno u njihovu životu, a događa se sve. Detalji djetinjstva su sjajno evocirani, kad djeca kao djeca razbijaju dosadu imaginacijom, primjerice da olovkama crtaju vukove kao svoje alter-ego likove na zidovima ili se maskiraju u vučje nindže. "Tko smo mi? Vukoviiii", dodavaju se braća.

"Los lobos" se ne libi nakratko postati živopisni animirani film u datim trenucima, kako bi ručna, ne računalna animacija oslikala skriveno carstvo dječje imaginacije prilikom adaptacije na novu sredinu i eskapističkog bijega od stvarnosti u zaigrani svijet mašte dok čekaju da ih majka odvede u šareni, čarobni "Disney(land)" kao simbol i pojam američkog sna i sreće, osobito za djecu (direktna poveznica "Vukova" s "Projektom Florida" s kojim bi ovaj film lijepo legao u kinomaratonu).

Kishi je pokazao da je spreman postati nasljednik Bakera i dio američke "indie" kinematografije u kojoj su intruzije crtića dobodošla pojava. Najveća vrlina njegova filma jest što izgleda iskreno, stvarno, proživljeno.

Nagrade na Berlinaleu

"Los lobos" je na Berlinaleu osvojio Grand Prix žirija programa "Generation Kplus", a dobio je i Peace Film Award.
