Upoznali smo ga kao glumca prije točno 20 godina u Bertoluccijevim ”Sanjarima”. U međuvremenu je ostvario respektabilnu glumačku karijeru igrajući u francuskim i američkim filmovima kao što su “Izmišljene ljubavi”, “Saint Laurent”, “Planetarij”, “Oficir i špijun”, “Male žene”, “Priča o mojoj ženi”, “Tri mušketira: D’Artagnan”...

Posljednjih godina otkrivamo ga i kao redatelja. Režirao je dosad tri dugometražna filma, među ostalim, “Vjernog čovjeka” u kojem je također i glumio. On je uskoro 40-godišnji Louis Garrel, potomak poznate filmske obitelji. Naime, Louis je unuk francuskog glumca Mauricea Garrela i sin redatelja Phillipa (surađivali npr. na “Običnim ljubavnicima”, nagrađenim na Veneciji) te stariji brat mlade glumice u usponu Esther (“Skrivena ljubav”) i još mlađe Lene (“Zauvijek mladi”).

Možda zato na početku Garrelova novog glumačko-redateljskog projekta, krimi komedije “Nevin” (“L’innocent”) premijerno prikazane na Cannesu, piše “Film koji ćete gledati rođen je pod sretnom zvijezdom”.

Louis, dakle, nije počeo slijediti samo djedove stope, već i očeve, a “Nevinog” je posvetio majci Brigitte Sy koja je držala radionice glume u zatvorima i udala se za jednog zatvorenika nakon razvoda od njegovog oca. Superiorniji nedavnoj, relativno slično žanriranoj “Prevari i farsi”, film u zatvoru i započinje, uvježbavanjem scene s radionice. U prvom planu je osuđeni lopov Michel (Roschdy Zem; “Uzmi i bježi”), najtalentiraniji glumac na radionici pod vodstvom Sylvie (Anouk Grinberg) koja se u njega i zaljubila.

Štoviše, Michel i Sylvie vjenčat će se u zatvoru nakon saslušanja za uvjetnu, sve na negodovanje njezinog skeptičnog sina Abela (Garrel), turističkog vodiča u akvariju. Je li se Abel brine za majku ili je možda ljubomoran što ona nastavlja dalje s (romantičnim) životom, za razliku od njega, mladog udovca?

Moguće i jedno i drugo. Svakako, kad Michel izađe na slobodu i počne raditi kao dostavljač namještaja, planirajući otvoriti cvjećarnicu sa Sylvie, Abel ne vjeruje bivšem robijašu (ako je talentiran glumac, možda je i dobar lažljivac) i počinje ga pratiti zajedno s Clemence (Noemie Merlant; “Portret djevojke koja izgara”), najboljom prijateljicom pokojne supruge.

“Možda je to prava mafija, možda on tamo pere lovu”, sumnja Abel. “Koju lovu? Od dostave kauča?”, dvoji Clemence. Ipak, ispostavit će se da je Abel u pravu i da je Michel umiješan u sumnjiv posao s preprodajom kavijara u koji će uključiti njega i Clemence da odvrate pažnju vozaču kamiona dok on i njegov suradnik iskrcavaju sanduke.

Sve je spremno za klasičnu pljačkašku krimi komediju, ali Garell je žanru dao osoban “touch” i to se osjeća po tome što “L’innocent” – topao za razliku od hladnog “L’homme fidèle”, k tome žanrovski i tonalno usklađeniji – uglavnom neprimjetno koketira i s obiteljskom dramom i romansom, pritom bivajući pretežno opipljivo ljudski dok se trudi boraviti na granici repertoarskog i festivalskog ostvarenja, Hitchcocka iz faze “Drž’te lopova” i francuskog “novog vala”.

Garrel ovaj put ne režira s distancije i daje si režijskog oduška orkestrirajući nekoliko dojmljivih scena, tipa da je odlično iskoristio tehniku podijeljenog ekrana i istovremeno u kadru ovjekovječio neonske siluete Michela i njegovih suradnika te krupni plan Abelovih promatračkih očiju. Impresivna je i scena pripreme za distrakciju s Abelom i Clemence u ulogama posvađenog ljubavnog para koja zamagljuje romantičnu istinu i fikciju. “Nevin” je dosad najosobniji, najzaigraniji i najbolji Garrelov redateljski uradak.

700.000 gledatelja u francuskim kinima

Film je ostvario respektabilne brojke na matičnom tržištu i samo ga je u francuskim kinima vidjelo oko 700 tisuća gledatelja, a bio je nominiran i za 11 Cesara.

Upoznali smo ga kao glumca prije točno 20 godina u Bertoluccijevim ”Sanjarima”. U međuvremenu je ostvario respektabilnu glumačku karijeru igrajući u francuskim i američkim filmovima kao što su “Izmišljene ljubavi”, “Saint Laurent”, “Planetarij”, “Oficir i špijun”, “Male žene”, “Priča o mojoj ženi”, “Tri mušketira: D’Artagnan”...

Posljednjih godina otkrivamo ga i kao redatelja. Režirao je dosad tri dugometražna filma, među ostalim, “Vjernog čovjeka” u kojem je također i glumio. On je uskoro 40-godišnji Louis Garrel, potomak poznate filmske obitelji. Naime, Louis je unuk francuskog glumca Mauricea Garrela i sin redatelja Phillipa (surađivali npr. na “Običnim ljubavnicima”, nagrađenim na Veneciji) te stariji brat mlade glumice u usponu Esther (“Skrivena ljubav”) i još mlađe Lene (“Zauvijek mladi”).

Možda zato na početku Garrelova novog glumačko-redateljskog projekta, krimi komedije “Nevin” (“L’innocent”) premijerno prikazane na Cannesu, piše “Film koji ćete gledati rođen je pod sretnom zvijezdom”.

Louis, dakle, nije počeo slijediti samo djedove stope, već i očeve, a “Nevinog” je posvetio majci Brigitte Sy koja je držala radionice glume u zatvorima i udala se za jednog zatvorenika nakon razvoda od njegovog oca. Superiorniji nedavnoj, relativno slično žanriranoj “Prevari i farsi”, film u zatvoru i započinje, uvježbavanjem scene s radionice. U prvom planu je osuđeni lopov Michel (Roschdy Zem; “Uzmi i bježi”), najtalentiraniji glumac na radionici pod vodstvom Sylvie (Anouk Grinberg) koja se u njega i zaljubila.

Štoviše, Michel i Sylvie vjenčat će se u zatvoru nakon saslušanja za uvjetnu, sve na negodovanje njezinog skeptičnog sina Abela (Garrel), turističkog vodiča u akvariju. Je li se Abel brine za majku ili je možda ljubomoran što ona nastavlja dalje s (romantičnim) životom, za razliku od njega, mladog udovca?

Moguće i jedno i drugo. Svakako, kad Michel izađe na slobodu i počne raditi kao dostavljač namještaja, planirajući otvoriti cvjećarnicu sa Sylvie, Abel ne vjeruje bivšem robijašu (ako je talentiran glumac, možda je i dobar lažljivac) i počinje ga pratiti zajedno s Clemence (Noemie Merlant; “Portret djevojke koja izgara”), najboljom prijateljicom pokojne supruge.

“Možda je to prava mafija, možda on tamo pere lovu”, sumnja Abel. “Koju lovu? Od dostave kauča?”, dvoji Clemence. Ipak, ispostavit će se da je Abel u pravu i da je Michel umiješan u sumnjiv posao s preprodajom kavijara u koji će uključiti njega i Clemence da odvrate pažnju vozaču kamiona dok on i njegov suradnik iskrcavaju sanduke.

Sve je spremno za klasičnu pljačkašku krimi komediju, ali Garell je žanru dao osoban “touch” i to se osjeća po tome što “L’innocent” – topao za razliku od hladnog “L’homme fidèle”, k tome žanrovski i tonalno usklađeniji – uglavnom neprimjetno koketira i s obiteljskom dramom i romansom, pritom bivajući pretežno opipljivo ljudski dok se trudi boraviti na granici repertoarskog i festivalskog ostvarenja, Hitchcocka iz faze “Drž’te lopova” i francuskog “novog vala”.

Garrel ovaj put ne režira s distancije i daje si režijskog oduška orkestrirajući nekoliko dojmljivih scena, tipa da je odlično iskoristio tehniku podijeljenog ekrana i istovremeno u kadru ovjekovječio neonske siluete Michela i njegovih suradnika te krupni plan Abelovih promatračkih očiju. Impresivna je i scena pripreme za distrakciju s Abelom i Clemence u ulogama posvađenog ljubavnog para koja zamagljuje romantičnu istinu i fikciju. “Nevin” je dosad najosobniji, najzaigraniji i najbolji Garrelov redateljski uradak.

700.000 gledatelja u francuskim kinima

Film je ostvario respektabilne brojke na matičnom tržištu i samo ga je u francuskim kinima vidjelo oko 700 tisuća gledatelja, a bio je nominiran i za 11 Cesara.
