Ljudi su neusporedivo veća opasnost za vukove, nego vukovi za ljude, ustvrdio je prof. dr. sc. Josip Kusak, jedan od naših vodećih stručnjaka za vučju populaciju. Ista se izjava može primijeniti i na slučaj teško ozlijeđenog ili bolesnog vuka koji posljednjih dana luta u blizini naseljenih mjesta na sinjskom području.

Iako je vuk u velikom dijelu javnosti stigmatiziran kao nemilosrdni predator koji čini štetu stočarima i izaziva posvemašnji strah, pa ga je po tome najbolje neutralizirati po pravilu mrtav vuk - dobar vuk, ovaj put dogodilo se suprotno - videći na društvenim mrežama snimku jadne životinje, simpatije javnosti okrenule su se na njezinu stranu.

Ali kako mu pomoći da ne pati, je li to uopće izvedivo? Ne može se baš divlju životinju namamiti poslasticom kao psa i odvesti kod veterinara na pregled.

Na društvenim mrežama osvanuo je komentar jednog Sinjanina, koji predlaže da se vuku pomogne tako da ga se - usmrti? Ni manje ni više, nego odmah ga odstrijeliti, bez ikakve alternative. Ta to je ionako teško bolestan vuk koji nikome neće nedostajati, niti će više noću uznemiravati Glavičane svojim bolnim zavijanjem. Pomozite nekom živom biću tako da ga ubijete i riješili ste problem. 

A mogu li se ovdje uključiti pravi stručnjaci, veterinari, da pomognu jadnoj životinji? Postoji li uopće mogućnost da je se izliječi, da se oporavi i da je se potom pusti u prirodu da u miru proživi ostatak života? Je li moguće vuka uloviti, uspavati strelicom i onda ga veterinarski pregledati i da pravi stručnjak, onaj s diplomom doktora veterinarske medicine, ustvrdi o čemu se radi i vidi je li moguće životinji pomoći terapijom ili joj možda nema spasa, pa bi je bilo najhumanije uspavati da se više ne muči, a ne da to napravi pod okriljem mraka neki lokalac s lovačkom puškom?

- Prema stanju na snimci koju sam vidio na društvenim mrežama, izgleda da taj vuk nije ozlijeđen, nego ima lišmaniozu. Jako je mršav, u vrlo lošem stanju i to je tipično za kasni stadij te bolesti - kazao nam je prof. dr. sc. Josip Kusak.

Naš stručnjak, naravno, upozorava kako se po zakonu ne smije pucati na vuka kao zaštićenu životinju u naseljenom mjestu.

- Trebalo bi ga uhvatiti živoga, uspavati i veterinarskim pregledom ustvrditi o kakvoj se bolesti radi i je li mu se i kako može pomoći. Za taj slučaj formiran je i poseban interventni tim, koji bi trebao donijeti odluku. Međutim, po stanju u kome se nalazi taj vuk, pitanje je dana kada će uginuti. Nemojte mu prilaziti. Prije mjesec dana pojavila se snimka najvjerojatnije tog istog vuka koji je bio u boljem stanju. Ali s obzirom na njegovo sadašnje stanje, ponekad je humanije prekratiti mu muke eutanazijom nego da dalje pati.

- Prije nekoliko godina našao sam na jednog vuka kod Trolokvi, u završnoj fazi lišmanioze, bolesti koju izaziva ubod komarca. Bio je u izuzetno lošem stanju, bez dlake, samo kost i koža i zavukao se u neko kameno sklonište i u njemu uginuo. Bio je to prvi takav slučaj lišmanioze - ističe dr. Kusak.

Ljudi su neusporedivo veća opasnost za vukove, nego vukovi za ljude, ustvrdio je prof. dr. sc. Josip Kusak, jedan od naših vodećih stručnjaka za vučju populaciju. Ista se izjava može primijeniti i na slučaj teško ozlijeđenog ili bolesnog vuka koji posljednjih dana luta u blizini naseljenih mjesta na sinjskom području.

Iako je vuk u velikom dijelu javnosti stigmatiziran kao nemilosrdni predator koji čini štetu stočarima i izaziva posvemašnji strah, pa ga je po tome najbolje neutralizirati po pravilu mrtav vuk - dobar vuk, ovaj put dogodilo se suprotno - videći na društvenim mrežama snimku jadne životinje, simpatije javnosti okrenule su se na njezinu stranu.

Ali kako mu pomoći da ne pati, je li to uopće izvedivo? Ne može se baš divlju životinju namamiti poslasticom kao psa i odvesti kod veterinara na pregled.

Na društvenim mrežama osvanuo je komentar jednog Sinjanina, koji predlaže da se vuku pomogne tako da ga se - usmrti? Ni manje ni više, nego odmah ga odstrijeliti, bez ikakve alternative. Ta to je ionako teško bolestan vuk koji nikome neće nedostajati, niti će više noću uznemiravati Glavičane svojim bolnim zavijanjem. Pomozite nekom živom biću tako da ga ubijete i riješili ste problem. 

A mogu li se ovdje uključiti pravi stručnjaci, veterinari, da pomognu jadnoj životinji? Postoji li uopće mogućnost da je se izliječi, da se oporavi i da je se potom pusti u prirodu da u miru proživi ostatak života? Je li moguće vuka uloviti, uspavati strelicom i onda ga veterinarski pregledati i da pravi stručnjak, onaj s diplomom doktora veterinarske medicine, ustvrdi o čemu se radi i vidi je li moguće životinji pomoći terapijom ili joj možda nema spasa, pa bi je bilo najhumanije uspavati da se više ne muči, a ne da to napravi pod okriljem mraka neki lokalac s lovačkom puškom?

- Prema stanju na snimci koju sam vidio na društvenim mrežama, izgleda da taj vuk nije ozlijeđen, nego ima lišmaniozu. Jako je mršav, u vrlo lošem stanju i to je tipično za kasni stadij te bolesti - kazao nam je prof. dr. sc. Josip Kusak.

Naš stručnjak, naravno, upozorava kako se po zakonu ne smije pucati na vuka kao zaštićenu životinju u naseljenom mjestu.

- Trebalo bi ga uhvatiti živoga, uspavati i veterinarskim pregledom ustvrditi o kakvoj se bolesti radi i je li mu se i kako može pomoći. Za taj slučaj formiran je i poseban interventni tim, koji bi trebao donijeti odluku. Međutim, po stanju u kome se nalazi taj vuk, pitanje je dana kada će uginuti. Nemojte mu prilaziti. Prije mjesec dana pojavila se snimka najvjerojatnije tog istog vuka koji je bio u boljem stanju. Ali s obzirom na njegovo sadašnje stanje, ponekad je humanije prekratiti mu muke eutanazijom nego da dalje pati.

- Prije nekoliko godina našao sam na jednog vuka kod Trolokvi, u završnoj fazi lišmanioze, bolesti koju izaziva ubod komarca. Bio je u izuzetno lošem stanju, bez dlake, samo kost i koža i zavukao se u neko kameno sklonište i u njemu uginuo. Bio je to prvi takav slučaj lišmanioze - ističe dr. Kusak.

Ljudi su neusporedivo veća opasnost za vukove, nego vukovi za ljude, ustvrdio je prof. dr. sc. Josip Kusak, jedan od naših vodećih stručnjaka za vučju populaciju. Ista se izjava može primijeniti i na slučaj teško ozlijeđenog ili bolesnog vuka koji posljednjih dana luta u blizini naseljenih mjesta na sinjskom području.

Iako je vuk u velikom dijelu javnosti stigmatiziran kao nemilosrdni predator koji čini štetu stočarima i izaziva posvemašnji strah, pa ga je po tome najbolje neutralizirati po pravilu mrtav vuk - dobar vuk, ovaj put dogodilo se suprotno - videći na društvenim mrežama snimku jadne životinje, simpatije javnosti okrenule su se na njezinu stranu.

Ali kako mu pomoći da ne pati, je li to uopće izvedivo? Ne može se baš divlju životinju namamiti...
