Skupa sa početkom berbe mandarina na plantaže dolazi štetnik-sredozemna voćna muha-koja pričinjava velike štete na dozrelim plodovima. Muha je u dolini Neretve ali i čitavoj Dalmaciji uzela maha posljednjih desetak godina a osim mandarina napada masline te drugo sezonsko voće i povrće: kruške, breskve marelice, šljive, paprike, rajčice.

Kako se boriti sa napadima sredozemne voćne muhe pitanje je koje postavljaju stručne službe resornog Ministarstva poljoprivrede i lokalni poljoprivrednici. U poplavi različitih rješenja poput postavljanja žutih lovki kao iznimno učinkovita pojavila se biološka metoda poznatija kao "tehnika sterilnih kukaca" (SIT tehnika), koja je krenula iz Izraela a svoju primjenu je doživjela i u ostalim agrumarskim zemljama EU-a.

Sterilni mužjaci čuvaju neretvanske plantaže

Cilj joj je sprječavanje širenja jednog od najštetnijih kukaca svjetske poljoprivrede i očuvanja uzgoja agruma u dolini Neretve. Naime, plod mandarine muha ubode i u njega položi jajašce iz kojega se razvije ličinka-crv zbog čega mandarina ili neka druga voćka truli i nije za konzumaciju.

Kako bi se štete od sredozemne voćne muha smanjile resorno Ministarstvo poljoprivrede je donijelo je Akcijski plan o poduzimanju mjera za sprječavanje širenja i suzbijanje sredozemne voćne muhe – Ceratitis capitata, a tehnika sterilnih kukaca je jedna od najučinkovitijih metoda.

Riječ je o masovnom laboratorijskom uzgoju sterilnih mužjaka te njihovo ispuštanje u prirodu gdje su brojčano nadmoćnijih prema prirodnim mužjacima. Naime, u prirodno okruženje se pusti nekoliko milijuna sterilnih kukaca koje se pare sa divljim ženkama ali ne razvijaju potomstvo zbog steriliteta.

Rezultat ove metode sterilnih kukaca je da ženka sredozemne voćne muhe odlaže sterilna jaja iz kojih se ne razvijaju ličinke. Metoda ne može funkcionirati sama po sebi, već je potrebno provoditi i druge mjere suzbijanja, prvenstveno higijenske mjere u voćnjacima kao i masovni lov.

S obzirom na geografsku izolaciju doline rijeke Neretve okolnim brdima i morem, primjena tehnike sterilnih kukaca na cijelom ovom području je tehnički primjenjiva i daje dobre rezultate.

Sredozemna voćna muha prezimljuje u otpalim i trulim plodovima voća u ovom slučaju mandarina pa je veoma važno na kraju sezone berbe pokupiti sve otpale plodve te ih duboko zakopati. Upravo stoga, Ministarstvo poljoprivrede izdvaja i do 20 milijuna financijska sredstva koja se uplaćuju na račune poljoprivrednima a namijenjena su zbrinjavanju trulih plodova mandarina na kraju sezone berbe. Korisnik potpore je proizvođač mandarina i klementina koji je upisan u Upisnik poljoprivrednika za površine na kojima proizvodi mandarine i klementine i koje su upisane u ARKOD sustav Agencije za plaćanja u poljoprivredi, ribarstvu i ruralnom razvoju. Iznos potpore utvrđuje se razmjerno površinama pod mandarinama i klementinama upisanima u ARKOD. S obzirom da je ove jeseni urod nešto manji u usporedbi sa prijašnjim godinama za pretpostaviti je da će se mandarine moći prodati te da će za zbrinjavanje na kraju sezone berbe ostati minimalne količine trulih plodova.

Skupa sa početkom berbe mandarina na plantaže dolazi štetnik-sredozemna voćna muha-koja pričinjava velike štete na dozrelim plodovima. Muha je u dolini Neretve ali i čitavoj Dalmaciji uzela maha posljednjih desetak godina a osim mandarina napada masline te drugo sezonsko voće i povrće: kruške, breskve marelice, šljive, paprike, rajčice.

Kako se boriti sa napadima sredozemne voćne muhe pitanje je koje postavljaju stručne službe resornog Ministarstva poljoprivrede i lokalni poljoprivrednici. U poplavi različitih rješenja poput postavljanja žutih lovki kao iznimno učinkovita pojavila se biološka metoda poznatija kao "tehnika sterilnih kukaca" (SIT tehnika), koja je krenula iz Izraela a svoju primjenu je doživjela i u ostalim agrumarskim zemljama EU-a.

Cilj joj je sprječavanje širenja jednog od najštetnijih kukaca svjetske poljoprivrede i očuvanja uzgoja agruma u dolini Neretve. Naime, plod mandarine muha ubode i u njega položi jajašce iz kojega se razvije ličinka-crv zbog čega mandarina ili neka druga voćka truli i nije za konzumaciju.

Kako bi se štete od sredozemne voćne muha smanjile resorno Ministarstvo poljoprivrede je donijelo je Akcijski plan o poduzimanju mjera za sprječavanje širenja i suzbijanje sredozemne voćne muhe – Ceratitis capitata, a tehnika sterilnih kukaca je jedna od najučinkovitijih metoda.

Riječ je o masovnom laboratorijskom uzgoju sterilnih mužjaka te njihovo ispuštanje u prirodu gdje su brojčano nadmoćnijih prema prirodnim mužjacima. Naime, u prirodno okruženje se pusti nekoliko milijuna sterilnih kukaca koje se pare sa divljim ženkama ali ne razvijaju potomstvo zbog steriliteta.

Rezultat ove metode sterilnih kukaca je da ženka sredozemne voćne muhe odlaže sterilna jaja iz kojih se ne razvijaju ličinke. Metoda ne može funkcionirati sama po sebi, već je potrebno provoditi i druge mjere suzbijanja, prvenstveno higijenske mjere u voćnjacima kao i masovni lov.

S obzirom na geografsku izolaciju doline rijeke Neretve okolnim brdima i morem, primjena tehnike sterilnih kukaca na cijelom ovom području je tehnički primjenjiva i daje dobre rezultate.

Sredozemna voćna muha prezimljuje u otpalim i trulim plodovima voća u ovom slučaju mandarina pa je veoma važno na kraju sezone berbe pokupiti sve otpale plodve te ih duboko zakopati. Upravo stoga, Ministarstvo poljoprivrede izdvaja i do 20 milijuna financijska sredstva koja se uplaćuju na račune poljoprivrednima a namijenjena su zbrinjavanju trulih plodova mandarina na kraju sezone berbe. Korisnik potpore je proizvođač mandarina i klementina koji je upisan u Upisnik poljoprivrednika za površine na kojima proizvodi mandarine i klementine i koje su upisane u ARKOD sustav Agencije za plaćanja u poljoprivredi, ribarstvu i ruralnom razvoju. Iznos potpore utvrđuje se razmjerno površinama pod mandarinama i klementinama upisanima u ARKOD. S obzirom da je ove jeseni urod nešto manji u usporedbi sa prijašnjim godinama za pretpostaviti je da će se mandarine moći prodati te da će za zbrinjavanje na kraju sezone berbe ostati minimalne količine trulih plodova.
