Brojne generacije Šibenčana svoje djetinjstvo provelo je na Tvrđavi sv. Ivana. Pogotovo oni koji su odrastali na Šubićevcu, u Varošu i drugim obližnjim kvartovima.
Posebno njima poznata je i priča o tunelu i bunkeru koji se kriju u "utrobi" najveće kopnene utvrde u Krešimirovu gradu. Da ih i sada pitate, vjerojatno bi se većina rado prisjetila razdoblja kada su im tunel i bunker, koji su usput budi rečeno, izgradili Nijemci tijekom 13-mjesečne okupacije Šibenika u Drugom svjetskom ratu, bili česta lokacija za igru i druženje.
Oni nešto hrabriji, odlučniji, pričali su nam stariji Šibenčani, provlačili bi se unutra, promatrali šišmiše i igrali se skrivača. Pričamo o razdoblju od 50-ih godina prošlog stoljeća pa do Domovinskog rata.
Oni manje hrabri, da ne kažemo, klaustrofobični, bacali bi kamenčiće i osluškivali. Tko je mogao i pomisliti kako će se od tih bačenih kamenčića, ulaz u tunel, preciznije prvih nekoliko metara, kompletno zatrpati.

Unutra se s vremenom više nije moglo ulaziti, tunel i bunker pali su u zaborav, praktički sve do prije dvije godine kada je Tanaja, kako građani nazivaju Tvrđavu sv. Ivana, u potpunosti obnovljena. Probudila se tada i nada kako će se nekadašnje "igralište" brojnih Šibenčana spasiti od zaborava, a to se sada upravo i događa.
Zahvaljujući Javnoj ustanovi "Tvrđava kulture" koja vodi brigu o trima šibenskim kopnenim utvrdama pokrenuta je inicijativa da se tunel dug čak 71 metar, na čijem se kraju nalazi bunker iz kojeg puca pogled na Kanal svetog Ante otvori za javnost.
– Ovaj bunker ispod Tanaje potpuno je drugačiji od svih bunkera na području grada. Izgrađen je na "ho-ruk" što bi se reklo. Minirana je živa stijena kako bi se probio tunel koji je u doba njemačke okupacije, negdje 1943. ili 1944. godine najvjerojatnije služio za obranu od zračnih napada – prepričava nam povijesne činjenice Josip Pavić, voditelj Odjela za istraživanje i interpretaciju baštine u "Tvrđavi kulture".

Vrijedi istaknuti i kako se o bunkeru ispod Tanaje koji su Nijemci izgradili u vrlo kratkom roku zna jako malo, ali u razdoblju od rujna 1943. do oslobođenja grada početkom studenoga 1944., bili su vrlo aktivni po pitanju utvrđivanja, jer su upravo u Kanalu svetog Ante, u živoj stijeni, izgradili potkope za svoje ratne brodove, kasnije nazvane "Hitlerove oči".
Većina podataka, kako nam je svojedobno potvrdio Pavićev kolega, arheolog Andrija Nakić, čuva se u Vojnom muzeju u Beogradu, a do tih informacija trenutno je jako teško doći.
Kako bilo, ideja je da se obnovom bunkera dodatno obogati ponuda Tvrđave sv. Ivana, a za što je već osiguran i ozbiljan novac. Kroz europski projekt "GIFTSnet" Tvrđavi kulture je odobren iznos od čak 2,2 milijuna eura, kojim se, uz uređenje bunkera, planira i financirati uvođenje sustava pametnog recikliranja na Tvrđavi sv. Mihovila, Tvrđavi Barone i Tvrđavi sv. Ivana. Također, u sklopu projekta bit će pokrenuta i inicijativa "Night of Fortresses Goes Green" koja će time kao međunarodna kulturna manifestacija postati alat za promicanje zelenih standarda i poticanje javne svijesti o načelima održivog razvoja.

U tunel bi od spomenutog iznosa, kazuje nam Pavić, trebalo biti uloženo 300 do 400 tisuća eura.
– Zbog lokacije tunela i bunkera projekt je dosta kompleksan. Iako moram reći da će građevinski zahvati biti minimalni, postavlja se rasvjeta, na jednom djelu i montažne stepenice, zvučnici, na pod ide šljunak... ostavit ćemo taj prostor autentičnim – ističe Pavić, koji nam je i otkrio kako bi u budućnosti trebao izgledati bunker ispod Tanaje.
– Htjeli bismo izbjeći ispisivanje i prikazivanje nekakvih povijesnih činjenica i fokus staviti na umjetnički, iskustveni moment koji bi na ljude prenio emocionalni dojam konflikta. Ideja je da posjetitelji kroz kombinaciju rasvjete, zvukova, atmosfere i drugih elemenata osjete tu, nazovimo, nelagodu i nesigurnost onih koji su tunel kopali i koji su ga u vrijeme rata koristili – kazao nam je Pavić.
Nova šibenska atrakcija trebala bi biti otvorena već sljedećeg ljeta.
– Nema se što čekati – kazuje nam ovaj Splićanin sa šibenskom adresom.
Idejni projekt već je napravljen. Postignut je i dogovor s konzervatorima kako bi prostor trebao izgledati, tek treba još usuglasiti nekoliko izvedbenih detalja.
– Glavni projekt također je pri kraju, računamo da bi na jesen već mogli raspisati natječaj za javnu nabavu. Kada bi u ljeto 2025. godine bilo sve gotovo, a vjerujem da hoće, to bi bilo sjajno – optimističan je Pavić.

Brojne generacije Šibenčana svoje djetinjstvo provelo je na Tvrđavi sv. Ivana. Pogotovo oni koji su odrastali na Šubićevcu, u Varošu i drugim obližnjim kvartovima.
Posebno njima poznata je i priča o tunelu i bunkeru koji se kriju u "utrobi" najveće kopnene utvrde u Krešimirovu gradu. Da ih i sada pitate, vjerojatno bi se većina rado prisjetila razdoblja kada su im tunel i bunker, koji su usput budi rečeno, izgradili Nijemci tijekom 13-mjesečne okupacije Šibenika u Drugom svjetskom ratu, bili česta lokacija za igru i druženje.
Oni nešto hrabriji, odlučniji, pričali su nam stariji Šibenčani, provlačili bi se unutra, promatrali šišmiše i igrali se skrivača. Pričamo o razdoblju od 50-ih godina prošlog stoljeća pa do Domovinskog rata.
Oni manje hrabri, da ne kažemo, klaustrofobični, bacali bi kamenčiće i osluškivali. Tko je mogao i pomisliti kako će se od tih bačenih kamenčića, ulaz u tunel, preciznije prvih nekoliko metara, kompletno zatrpati.

Unutra se s vremenom više nije moglo ulaziti, tunel i bunker pali su u zaborav, praktički sve do prije dvije godine kada je Tanaja, kako građani nazivaju Tvrđavu sv. Ivana, u potpunosti obnovljena. Probudila se tada i nada kako će se nekadašnje "igralište" brojnih Šibenčana spasiti od zaborava, a to se sada upravo i događa.
Zahvaljujući Javnoj ustanovi "Tvrđava kulture" koja vodi brigu o trima šibenskim kopnenim utvrdama pokrenuta je inicijativa da se tunel dug čak 71 metar, na čijem se kraju nalazi bunker iz kojeg puca pogled na Kanal svetog Ante otvori za javnost.
– Ovaj bunker ispod Tanaje potpuno je drugačiji od svih bunkera na području grada. Izgrađen je na "ho-ruk" što bi se reklo. Minirana je živa stijena kako bi se probio tunel koji je u doba njemačke okupacije, negdje 1943. ili 1944. godine najvjerojatnije služio za obranu od zračnih napada – prepričava nam povijesne činjenice Josip Pavić, voditelj Odjela za istraživanje i interpretaciju baštine u "Tvrđavi kulture".

Vrijedi istaknuti i kako se o bunkeru ispod Tanaje koji su Nijemci izgradili u vrlo kratkom roku zna jako malo, ali u razdoblju od rujna 1943. do oslobođenja grada početkom studenoga 1944., bili su vrlo aktivni po pitanju utvrđivanja, jer su upravo u Kanalu svetog Ante, u živoj stijeni, izgradili potkope za svoje ratne brodove, kasnije nazvane "Hitlerove oči".
Većina podataka, kako nam je svojedobno potvrdio Pavićev kolega, arheolog Andrija Nakić, čuva se u Vojnom muzeju u Beogradu, a do tih informacija trenutno je jako teško doći.
Kako bilo, ideja je da se obnovom bunkera dodatno obogati ponuda Tvrđave sv. Ivana, a za što je već osiguran i ozbiljan novac. Kroz europski projekt "GIFTSnet" Tvrđavi kulture je odobren iznos od čak 2,2 milijuna eura, kojim se, uz uređenje bunkera, planira i financirati uvođenje sustava pametnog recikliranja na Tvrđavi sv. Mihovila, Tvrđavi Barone i Tvrđavi sv. Ivana. Također, u sklopu projekta bit će pokrenuta i inicijativa "Night of Fortresses Goes Green" koja će time kao međunarodna kulturna manifestacija postati alat za promicanje zelenih standarda i poticanje javne svijesti o načelima održivog razvoja.

U tunel bi od spomenutog iznosa, kazuje nam Pavić, trebalo biti uloženo 300 do 400 tisuća eura.
– Zbog lokacije tunela i bunkera projekt je dosta kompleksan. Iako moram reći da će građevinski zahvati biti minimalni, postavlja se rasvjeta, na jednom djelu i montažne stepenice, zvučnici, na pod ide šljunak... ostavit ćemo taj prostor autentičnim – ističe Pavić, koji nam je i otkrio kako bi u budućnosti trebao izgledati bunker ispod Tanaje.
– Htjeli bismo izbjeći ispisivanje i prikazivanje nekakvih povijesnih činjenica i fokus staviti na umjetnički, iskustveni moment koji bi na ljude prenio emocionalni dojam konflikta. Ideja je da posjetitelji kroz kombinaciju rasvjete, zvukova, atmosfere i drugih elemenata osjete tu, nazovimo, nelagodu i nesigurnost onih koji su tunel kopali i koji su ga u vrijeme rata koristili – kazao nam je Pavić.
Nova šibenska atrakcija trebala bi biti otvorena već sljedećeg ljeta.
– Nema se što čekati – kazuje nam ovaj Splićanin sa šibenskom adresom.
Idejni projekt već je napravljen. Postignut je i dogovor s konzervatorima kako bi prostor trebao izgledati, tek treba još usuglasiti nekoliko izvedbenih detalja.
– Glavni projekt također je pri kraju, računamo da bi na jesen već mogli raspisati natječaj za javnu nabavu. Kada bi u ljeto 2025. godine bilo sve gotovo, a vjerujem da hoće, to bi bilo sjajno – optimističan je Pavić.
