Još jednu Netflixovu seriju, nakon "Stranger Things", prožima spielbergovski duh dječjeg avanturističkog/znanstveno-fantastičnog/bajkovitog filma osamdesetih s logom kompanije Amblin.
To je "Sweet Tooth: Rogati dječak", više no solidna osmodijelna serija, nastala u produkciji Roberta Downeyja Jr-a , koja je dobila čast otvoriti lipanj na popularnom streaming servisu. Naime, "Sweet Tooth" posjeduje mrvu "spielbergovske" magije, najviše u prvoj i najimpresivnijoj epizodi.
A Christian Convery , malac u ulozi titularnog klinca, hibrida dječaka i jelena, mogao bi glumiti u Spielbergovoj "80‘s" produkciji i ostvaruje ponajbolju dječju ulogu na televiziji posljednjih godina.
Ovo je svojevrstan "spielbergovski" film osamdesetih za koronsku 2020. i 2021. godinu. Serijska ekranizacija DC Vertigo stripa Jeffa Lemirea , djelo kreatora Jima Micklea (filmovi "We Are What We Are", "Cold In July") i Beth Schwartz (serije "Legends Of Tomorrow", "Arrow"), ambijentirana je u blisku postapokaliptičnu budućnost koja je prepoznatljivija 2021. nego što bi bila 2019., kad se "Sweeth Tooth" počeo snimati.
Virus nazvan "The Sick" poharao je svijet i doveo do pojave hibridne životinjsko-ljudske djece koja su "part animal, part human", poput Sweet Tootha/Gusa o kojem skrbi otac Pubba (Will Forte ).
"Nitko ne zna tko se pojavio prije, virus ili hibridi, to je pitanje misterij našeg vremena", govori narator s glasom Jamesa Brolina najavljujući "priču o posebnom dječaku" koja je, još u formi stripa, efektno sumirana kao "Mad Max sreće Bambija".

Dok nitko ne zna odakle su hibridi došli i kako, zna se da ih većina ljudi u strahu od nepoznatog i drukčijeg smatra neprijateljima. Takve "mješance" se lovi, ubija, s njima eksperimentira, stoga otac skriva Sweet Tootha u divljini i uči ga kako preživjeti dok traži sigurno mjesto za hibride.
Kad spletom nesretnih okolnosti naš "jelenko" ostane sam, odluči potražiti majku (Amy Seimetz ) uz pomoć Tommyja (Nonso Anozie ), nekadašnjeg pripadnika grupe lovaca na hibride, upadajući iz jedne opasne avanture u drugu.
Paralelno s njegovom pričom, pratimo dva začudo prilično fino i bez pretjeranih viškova isprepletena podzapleta: prvi sa znanstvenikom (Adeel Akhtar ) koji traži lijek protiv pandemije i skriva zaraženu suprugu (Aliza Vellani ) od susjeda, drugi s voditeljicom (Dania Ramirez ) utočišta za hibride koji su za neke mogući korak naprijed u ljudskoj evoluciji.
Kreator Mickle podsjeća da je bio režiser mračnog horora "We Are What We Are" u trećoj epizodi, pokazujući kako ljudi reagiraju na nekoga tko pokazuje simptome u tenzičnoj i brutalnoj sceni koja se referira na Carpenterova "Stvora", od testa krvi nadalje.
Vjerojatno bi "Sweet Tooth" bila solidna serija i prije korone, koja je stopirala njezino snimanje na nekoliko mjeseci, ali aktualna pandemija daje joj dodatnu "težinu".
Opet, treba istaknuti kako motivi izolacije i nepovjerenja, odakle "Sweet Tooth" izvlači dramske i trilerske tenzije, nisu dominantni.
U seriji prednjače optimizam i nada, pokušavajući razgrnuti mrak s porukom "ono što nas razdvaja može nas i spojiti".

Još jednu Netflixovu seriju, nakon "Stranger Things", prožima spielbergovski duh dječjeg avanturističkog/znanstveno-fantastičnog/bajkovitog filma osamdesetih s logom kompanije Amblin.
To je "Sweet Tooth: Rogati dječak", više no solidna osmodijelna serija, nastala u produkciji Roberta Downeyja Jr-a , koja je dobila čast otvoriti lipanj na popularnom streaming servisu. Naime, "Sweet Tooth" posjeduje mrvu "spielbergovske" magije, najviše u prvoj i najimpresivnijoj epizodi.
A Christian Convery , malac u ulozi titularnog klinca, hibrida dječaka i jelena, mogao bi glumiti u Spielbergovoj "80‘s" produkciji i ostvaruje ponajbolju dječju ulogu na televiziji posljednjih godina.
Ovo je svojevrstan "spielbergovski" film osamdesetih za koronsku 2020. i 2021. godinu. Serijska ekranizacija DC Vertigo stripa Jeffa Lemirea , djelo kreatora Jima Micklea (filmovi "We Are What We Are", "Cold In July") i Beth Schwartz (serije "Legends Of Tomorrow", "Arrow"), ambijentirana je u blisku postapokaliptičnu budućnost koja je prepoznatljivija 2021. nego što bi bila 2019., kad se "Sweeth Tooth" počeo snimati.
Virus nazvan "The Sick" poharao je svijet i doveo do pojave hibridne životinjsko-ljudske djece koja su "part animal, part human", poput Sweet Tootha/Gusa o kojem skrbi otac Pubba (Will Forte ).
"Nitko ne zna tko se pojavio prije, virus ili hibridi, to je pitanje misterij našeg vremena", govori narator s glasom Jamesa Brolina najavljujući "priču o posebnom dječaku" koja je, još u formi stripa, efektno sumirana kao "Mad Max sreće Bambija".

Dok nitko ne zna odakle su hibridi došli i kako, zna se da ih većina ljudi u strahu od nepoznatog i drukčijeg smatra neprijateljima. Takve "mješance" se lovi, ubija, s njima eksperimentira, stoga otac skriva Sweet Tootha u divljini i uči ga kako preživjeti dok traži sigurno mjesto za hibride.
Kad spletom nesretnih okolnosti naš "jelenko" ostane sam, odluči potražiti majku (Amy Seimetz ) uz pomoć Tommyja (Nonso Anozie ), nekadašnjeg pripadnika grupe lovaca na hibride, upadajući iz jedne opasne avanture u drugu.
Paralelno s njegovom pričom, pratimo dva začudo prilično fino i bez pretjeranih viškova isprepletena podzapleta: prvi sa znanstvenikom (Adeel Akhtar ) koji traži lijek protiv pandemije i skriva zaraženu suprugu (Aliza Vellani ) od susjeda, drugi s voditeljicom (Dania Ramirez ) utočišta za hibride koji su za neke mogući korak naprijed u ljudskoj evoluciji.
Kreator Mickle podsjeća da je bio režiser mračnog horora "We Are What We Are" u trećoj epizodi, pokazujući kako ljudi reagiraju na nekoga tko pokazuje simptome u tenzičnoj i brutalnoj sceni koja se referira na Carpenterova "Stvora", od testa krvi nadalje.
Vjerojatno bi "Sweet Tooth" bila solidna serija i prije korone, koja je stopirala njezino snimanje na nekoliko mjeseci, ali aktualna pandemija daje joj dodatnu "težinu".
Opet, treba istaknuti kako motivi izolacije i nepovjerenja, odakle "Sweet Tooth" izvlači dramske i trilerske tenzije, nisu dominantni.
U seriji prednjače optimizam i nada, pokušavajući razgrnuti mrak s porukom "ono što nas razdvaja može nas i spojiti".
