Lockdown i socijalno distanciranje povezuju se sa "zabrinjavajućim" porastom slučajeva hepatitisa kod male djece, piše The Telegraph. Zdravstveni dužnosnici smatraju da je uzrok tome što ta djeca u svojim formativnim godinama zbog pandemijskih mjera nisu bila izložena uobičajenim virusnim infekcijama, prenosi Jutarnji list.

Dužnosnici Agencije za zdravstvenu sigurnost Ujedinjenog Kraljevstva (UKHSA) kažu da se gomilaju dokazi da je adenovirus F41 povezan s rijetkim slučajevima upale jetara od koje su oboljela mlađa djeca, piše BBC.

U svijetu je do sada zabilježeno 169 slučajeva oboljenja, a jedna je osoba preminula od posljedica bolesti. Stotinu i četrnaest slučajeva zabilježeno je u Velikoj Britaniji, a 10 oboljelih moralo je otići na transplantaciju jetara. Svjetska zdravstvena organizacija rekla je da su oboljenja zabilježena u 12 različitih zemalja. Trinaest slučajeva zabilježeno je u Španjolskoj, 12 u Izraelu, a 11 u Sjedinjenim Američkim Državama. Zaraze su zabilježene u Danskoj, Irskoj, Nizozemskoj, Italiji, Francuskoj, Norveškoj, Rumunjskoj i Belgiji.

Većina oboljelih su djeca stara pet godina i mlađa, a simptomi koji su ih zadesili nalikuju onima koji se mogu vidjeti kod oboljelih od upale crijeva. Oboljele prvo zadese proljev i mučnina, a kasnije i žutica.

The Telegraph piše da su prvi slučajevi upale jetara, odnosno hepatitisa, prije manje od četiri tjedna zabilježeni u Škotskoj. Britanski su stručnjaci rekli da su tijekom posljednja tri mjeseca zabilježili onoliko oboljenja koliko bi inače zabilježili u godinu dana, prenosi Jutarnji list.

Dr. Meera Chand, direktorica za kliničke i nove infekcije u UKHSA, rekla je da ta institucija istražuje i druge moguće uzroke bolesti, ali da do sada prikupljene informacije upućuju na to da je porast slučajeva upale jetara kod djece povezan s adenovirusom. Chand je dodala da je moguće da su djeca najviše na udaru zato što tijekom svojih ranih godina zbog pandemije nisu došla s njim u kontakt.

Stručnjaci kažu da većina djece koja se zarazi spomenutim virusom neće teško oboljeti. Slučajevi upale jetara prilično su rijetki, no mogu biti opasni.

Znanstvenici trenutno pokušavaju doznati je li virus mutirao na takav način da lakše uzrokuje upalu. Navodi se i da je moguće da su se djeca zbog pandemije kasnije nego što je to uobičajeno susrela s virusom te da je to dovelo da snažnije reakcije imunološkog sustava kod nekih oboljelih.

Profesor Calum Semple, stručnjak za zarazne bolesti na Sveučilištu u Liverpoolu u Engleskoj, rekao je da je adenovirus tijekom pandemije koronavirusa SARS-CoV-2 praktički nestao jer su se ljudi manje družili te da se sada vratio. Dodao je da se istražuju i teze jesu li možda nedavna oboljenja od covida-19 i zaraze adenovirusom poslužile kao okidač za porast broja slučajeva kod djece.

Cjepivo protiv covida-19 i upale nisu povezane.

Aikaterini Mougkou, stručnjakinja iz Europskog centra za sprečavanje i kontrolu bolesti, rekla je da porast broja oboljelih od adenovirusa uistinu zabrinjavajući.

- Malo smo slučajeva zaraze zabilježili tijekom 2020. i 2021. godine. Tako je bilo zbog fizičkog distanciranja. No, početkom 2022. godine došlo je do velike cirkulacije virusa, poglavito među djecom mlađom od pet godina - rekla je Mougkou.

Profesorica Deirdre Kelly, stručnjakinja za pedijatrijsku hepatologiju pri Ženskoj i dječjom bolnici u Birminghamu, rekla je da će broj oboljelih vjerojatno rasti, ali i ustvrdila da je moguće da će broj infekcija pasti nakon proljeća.

Chand kaže da se roditelji liječnicima trebaju obratiti ako kod svoje djece uoče sljedeće simptome: mučnina, umor, gubitak apetita, bol u trbuhu, žutica, taman urin, siva stolica, svrbež, bolovi u mišićima i zglobovima te temperatura.

Stručnjaci navode da se djeca, a i ostali, protiv uobičajenih infekcija mogu boriti tako što će održavati osobnu higijenu.

Lockdown i socijalno distanciranje povezuju se sa "zabrinjavajućim" porastom slučajeva hepatitisa kod male djece, piše The Telegraph. Zdravstveni dužnosnici smatraju da je uzrok tome što ta djeca u svojim formativnim godinama zbog pandemijskih mjera nisu bila izložena uobičajenim virusnim infekcijama, prenosi Jutarnji list.

Dužnosnici Agencije za zdravstvenu sigurnost Ujedinjenog Kraljevstva (UKHSA) kažu da se gomilaju dokazi da je adenovirus F41 povezan s rijetkim slučajevima upale jetara od koje su oboljela mlađa djeca, piše BBC.

U svijetu je do sada zabilježeno 169 slučajeva oboljenja, a jedna je osoba preminula od posljedica bolesti. Stotinu i četrnaest slučajeva zabilježeno je u Velikoj Britaniji, a 10 oboljelih moralo je otići na transplantaciju jetara. Svjetska zdravstvena organizacija rekla je da su oboljenja zabilježena u 12 različitih zemalja. Trinaest slučajeva zabilježeno je u Španjolskoj, 12 u Izraelu, a 11 u Sjedinjenim Američkim Državama. Zaraze su zabilježene u Danskoj, Irskoj, Nizozemskoj, Italiji, Francuskoj, Norveškoj, Rumunjskoj i Belgiji.

Većina oboljelih su djeca stara pet godina i mlađa, a simptomi koji su ih zadesili nalikuju onima koji se mogu vidjeti kod oboljelih od upale crijeva. Oboljele prvo zadese proljev i mučnina, a kasnije i žutica.

The Telegraph piše da su prvi slučajevi upale jetara, odnosno hepatitisa, prije manje od četiri tjedna zabilježeni u Škotskoj. Britanski su stručnjaci rekli da su tijekom posljednja tri mjeseca zabilježili onoliko oboljenja koliko bi inače zabilježili u godinu dana, prenosi Jutarnji list.

Dr. Meera Chand, direktorica za kliničke i nove infekcije u UKHSA, rekla je da ta institucija istražuje i druge moguće uzroke bolesti, ali da do sada prikupljene informacije upućuju na to da je porast slučajeva upale jetara kod djece povezan s adenovirusom. Chand je dodala da je moguće da su djeca najviše na udaru zato što tijekom svojih ranih godina zbog pandemije nisu došla s njim u kontakt.

Stručnjaci kažu da većina djece koja se zarazi spomenutim virusom neće teško oboljeti. Slučajevi upale jetara prilično su rijetki, no mogu biti opasni.

Znanstvenici trenutno pokušavaju doznati je li virus mutirao na takav način da lakše uzrokuje upalu. Navodi se i da je moguće da su se djeca zbog pandemije kasnije nego što je to uobičajeno susrela s virusom te da je to dovelo da snažnije reakcije imunološkog sustava kod nekih oboljelih.

Profesor Calum Semple, stručnjak za zarazne bolesti na Sveučilištu u Liverpoolu u Engleskoj, rekao je da je adenovirus tijekom pandemije koronavirusa SARS-CoV-2 praktički nestao jer su se ljudi manje družili te da se sada vratio. Dodao je da se istražuju i teze jesu li možda nedavna oboljenja od covida-19 i zaraze adenovirusom poslužile kao okidač za porast broja slučajeva kod djece.

Cjepivo protiv covida-19 i upale nisu povezane.

Aikaterini Mougkou, stručnjakinja iz Europskog centra za sprečavanje i kontrolu bolesti, rekla je da porast broja oboljelih od adenovirusa uistinu zabrinjavajući.

- Malo smo slučajeva zaraze zabilježili tijekom 2020. i 2021. godine. Tako je bilo zbog fizičkog distanciranja. No, početkom 2022. godine došlo je do velike cirkulacije virusa, poglavito među djecom mlađom od pet godina - rekla je Mougkou.

Profesorica Deirdre Kelly, stručnjakinja za pedijatrijsku hepatologiju pri Ženskoj i dječjom bolnici u Birminghamu, rekla je da će broj oboljelih vjerojatno rasti, ali i ustvrdila da je moguće da će broj infekcija pasti nakon proljeća.

Chand kaže da se roditelji liječnicima trebaju obratiti ako kod svoje djece uoče sljedeće simptome: mučnina, umor, gubitak apetita, bol u trbuhu, žutica, taman urin, siva stolica, svrbež, bolovi u mišićima i zglobovima te temperatura.

Stručnjaci navode da se djeca, a i ostali, protiv uobičajenih infekcija mogu boriti tako što će održavati osobnu higijenu.
