Prva samostalna izložba mlade zadarske umjetnice Zvonimire Karavide otvorena je u četvrtak u Muzeju antičkog stakla predavanjem znanstvenice sa Sveučilišta u Zadru, dr. sc. Brune Petani, o tužnoj sudbini plemenitih periski koje izumru diljem Mediterana. Tako je pred punom malom dvoranom spojena znanost i umjetnost u namjeri senzibiliziranja javnosti o izumiranju ovog mediteranskog endemskog školjkaša. Karavida je sugrađanima predstavila desetak staklenih periski u prirodnoj veličini koje mogu doseći čak i do 140 centimetara.
- Uvijek sam se bojala da ne budem pretenciozna, osobito kad zadirem u teme koje nisu moje područje, poput znanosti i ekologije, no način na koji su znanstvenici sa zadarskog Sveučilišta prihvatili moj rad i cjelokupni koncept, iznimno mi puno znači jer je to svojevrsna potvrda da ovo što radim vrijedi i više od same skulpture – istaknula je Karavida, inače diplomirana kiparica koja je upravo u Muzeju stakla radila svoj diplomski rad te je ovom izložbom zaokružila jednu lijepu priču.

- Uzbuđena sam, ali i počašćena što baš ovdje imam svoju prvu samostalno izložbu i to baš s periskama o kojih je toliko pisano posljednjih dana i kojih je dočekala teška sudbina. Nažalost, baš u razgovoru sa znanstvenicima sa zadarskog Sveučilišta shvatila sam da bi ove moje staklene periske mogle biti jedine u skorije vrijeme... Tužno je to što se događa, no mi se kao društvo moramo trgnuti i zauzeti za njih. Trenutno je jedini način na koji bi se one mogle očuvati da se preživjele jedinke stave u akvarij – rekla je Karavida, što je potvrdila i dr. sc. Petani koja je, među ostalim, u sklopu predavanja, istaknula kako je do sada izumrlo već 90 posto populacije plemenite periske.

- U Španjolskoj postoje samo dvije populacije koje nisu izumrle, te ih znanstvenici pomno prate. Kod susjeda Talijana primijećena je pojava mlađi na lokacijama koje su prošle godine bile zahvaćene masovnom smrtnošću. Kod nas je na Telašćici primijećena mlađ što nam bar malo ulijeva nadu. No, da je situacija loša, je. Ovakve izložbe u sklopu kojih bi se održavala predavanja bi zasigurno mogle osvijestiti ljude da nismo sami i da mnoge vrste ovise o našem ponašanju – naglasila je Petani koja se s kolegama znanstvenicima nastavlja boriti za spas ove posebne školjke.
Izložba staklenih periski otvorena do 15. listopada te je ulaz u MAS besplatan.

Prva samostalna izložba mlade zadarske umjetnice Zvonimire Karavide otvorena je u četvrtak u Muzeju antičkog stakla predavanjem znanstvenice sa Sveučilišta u Zadru, dr. sc. Brune Petani, o tužnoj sudbini plemenitih periski koje izumru diljem Mediterana. Tako je pred punom malom dvoranom spojena znanost i umjetnost u namjeri senzibiliziranja javnosti o izumiranju ovog mediteranskog endemskog školjkaša. Karavida je sugrađanima predstavila desetak staklenih periski u prirodnoj veličini koje mogu doseći čak i do 140 centimetara.
- Uvijek sam se bojala da ne budem pretenciozna, osobito kad zadirem u teme koje nisu moje područje, poput znanosti i ekologije, no način na koji su znanstvenici sa zadarskog Sveučilišta prihvatili moj rad i cjelokupni koncept, iznimno mi puno znači jer je to svojevrsna potvrda da ovo što radim vrijedi i više od same skulpture – istaknula je Karavida, inače diplomirana kiparica koja je upravo u Muzeju stakla radila svoj diplomski rad te je ovom izložbom zaokružila jednu lijepu priču.

- Uzbuđena sam, ali i počašćena što baš ovdje imam svoju prvu samostalno izložbu i to baš s periskama o kojih je toliko pisano posljednjih dana i kojih je dočekala teška sudbina. Nažalost, baš u razgovoru sa znanstvenicima sa zadarskog Sveučilišta shvatila sam da bi ove moje staklene periske mogle biti jedine u skorije vrijeme... Tužno je to što se događa, no mi se kao društvo moramo trgnuti i zauzeti za njih. Trenutno je jedini način na koji bi se one mogle očuvati da se preživjele jedinke stave u akvarij – rekla je Karavida, što je potvrdila i dr. sc. Petani koja je, među ostalim, u sklopu predavanja, istaknula kako je do sada izumrlo već 90 posto populacije plemenite periske.

- U Španjolskoj postoje samo dvije populacije koje nisu izumrle, te ih znanstvenici pomno prate. Kod susjeda Talijana primijećena je pojava mlađi na lokacijama koje su prošle godine bile zahvaćene masovnom smrtnošću. Kod nas je na Telašćici primijećena mlađ što nam bar malo ulijeva nadu. No, da je situacija loša, je. Ovakve izložbe u sklopu kojih bi se održavala predavanja bi zasigurno mogle osvijestiti ljude da nismo sami i da mnoge vrste ovise o našem ponašanju – naglasila je Petani koja se s kolegama znanstvenicima nastavlja boriti za spas ove posebne školjke.
