Otvoreno pismo Udruge antifašističkih boraca i antifašista Grada Zadra prenosimo u cijelosti:
Poštovana gospođo Vican,
obzirom da nismo imali zadovoljstvo nazočiti raspravi o realizaciji projekta uređenja fortifikacijskih građevina, bunkeri na Vidikovcu, iz vremena fašističke Italije, ovim putem izražavamo naše nezadovoljstvo s tekstom na info-ploči koja je postavljena uz bunkere.
Na početku želimo se jasno odrediti o dvije stvari:
Prvo, mi antifašisti Grada Zadra podržavamo i odobravamo sve projekte i ulaganja u bilo koji od segmenata razvoja našeg grada (gospodarski, kulturni...), uz uvjet da se time postigne mjerljiva korist za Grad, njegove stanovnike i društvo u cjelini. Projekt INTERREG Italija – Hrvatska nije i ne bi trebao biti izuzetak.
Drugo, žao nam je što nam je uskraćen poziv ili informacija za održavanje rečene rasprave u kojoj bismo mogli artikulirati naš stav s ciljem da se izbjegnu mogući nesporazumi i nepotrebne podjele.
Želimo vjerovati da je zaobilaženje naše Udruge u ovoj raspravi samo slučajan propust, kojeg možemo ispraviti, ako postoji volja od strane investitora.
Naime, uređenje bunkera i njihovo stavljanje u gospodarsku aktivnost moramo gledati u kontekstu povijesne istine, razloga i činjenica, te svrhe za koju su ti bunkeri građeni. Povijest ne možemo i ne želimo brisati. Ne želimo niti Vas osobno, niti Sveučilište podučavati potrebi da je istina obveza svih nas, a posebno znanosti, te da je ista u ovom slučaju dokaziva, vidljiva i zabilježena. Bunkere su radili talijanski okupatori, fašisti, na našoj – hrvatskoj zemlji, fizički ograđujući Zadar, izvlačeći ga tako iz zagrljaja svoje matice. Domicilno stanovništvo je u tom, više desetljeća trpljenom teroru, proživljavalo najteže trenutke u svojoj bogatoj povijesti. Onemogućen im je govor i pismo na materinjem jeziku, prisilno su postajali državljani Italije, a pljačke, palež domova i fizička stradanja bili su svakodnevni. Sve vrste poniženja s najgorim metodama ugnjetavanja dostojanstva imale su za cilj održavanje fašističke vlasti i otimanje ovog najljepšeg dijela Dalmacije i Hrvatske.
Mučenje i patnja trajalo je sve do 31. listopada, 1944. godine, kada su borci NOV (partizani) oslobodili Zadar, vratili mu naš, hrvatski jezik i pismo, čime je na pravedan način, uz mnogo borbe i krvi, ispravljena nepravda koju su desetljećima činili talijanski fašisti, kasnije uz pomoć domaćih slugu.
Zato, poštovana gospođo rektorice, ne možemo podržati da se uz stazu pokraj bunkera napisao tekst kao podsjetnik na ulogu tih građevina, a da se izbjeglo kazati (slučajno ili namjerno) istinu da su isti bili u službi zaštite fašističkih interesa u Zadru. Iz tih razloga, molimo Vas ispravite (nadopunite) postojeći info-tekst na ploči, kako bi posjetitelji mogli saznati pravu istinu o razlozima izgradnje i trajanja ovih objekata.
Ukoliko Vam vrijeme i obveze dozvoljavaju, molimo Vas da upriličite razgovor s predstavnicima naše Udruge na kojem bismo detaljnije obrazložili naše stavove. A ti stavovi su pisanje istine i činjenica lišeni bilo kakve ideologizacije.
U svakom slučaju, poštovana rektorice Vican, nužno je učiniti ovaj ispravak u interesu povijesne istine i odbacivanja mogućih sumnji u isticanje želje za rehabilitaciju, još uvijek izraženih posezanja za našom obalom od strane fašističkih pojedinaca i grupa iz Italije.
Nadamo se da će prevladati razboritost, te da ćete Vi kao znanstvenica pozitivno reagirati na ovaj izazov.

Otvoreno pismo Udruge antifašističkih boraca i antifašista Grada Zadra prenosimo u cijelosti:
Poštovana gospođo Vican,
obzirom da nismo imali zadovoljstvo nazočiti raspravi o realizaciji projekta uređenja fortifikacijskih građevina, bunkeri na Vidikovcu, iz vremena fašističke Italije, ovim putem izražavamo naše nezadovoljstvo s tekstom na info-ploči koja je postavljena uz bunkere.
Na početku želimo se jasno odrediti o dvije stvari:
Prvo, mi antifašisti Grada Zadra podržavamo i odobravamo sve projekte i ulaganja u bilo koji od segmenata razvoja našeg grada (gospodarski, kulturni...), uz uvjet da se time postigne mjerljiva korist za Grad, njegove stanovnike i društvo u cjelini. Projekt INTERREG Italija – Hrvatska nije i ne bi trebao biti izuzetak.
Drugo, žao nam je što nam je uskraćen poziv ili informacija za održavanje rečene rasprave u kojoj bismo mogli artikulirati naš stav s ciljem da se izbjegnu mogući nesporazumi i nepotrebne podjele.
Želimo vjerovati da je zaobilaženje naše Udruge u ovoj raspravi samo slučajan propust, kojeg možemo ispraviti, ako postoji volja od strane investitora.
Naime, uređenje bunkera i njihovo stavljanje u gospodarsku aktivnost moramo gledati u kontekstu povijesne istine, razloga i činjenica, te svrhe za koju su ti bunkeri građeni. Povijest ne možemo i ne želimo brisati. Ne želimo niti Vas osobno, niti Sveučilište podučavati potrebi da je istina obveza svih nas, a posebno znanosti, te da je ista u ovom slučaju dokaziva, vidljiva i zabilježena. Bunkere su radili talijanski okupatori, fašisti, na našoj – hrvatskoj zemlji, fizički ograđujući Zadar, izvlačeći ga tako iz zagrljaja svoje matice. Domicilno stanovništvo je u tom, više desetljeća trpljenom teroru, proživljavalo najteže trenutke u svojoj bogatoj povijesti. Onemogućen im je govor i pismo na materinjem jeziku, prisilno su postajali državljani Italije, a pljačke, palež domova i fizička stradanja bili su svakodnevni. Sve vrste poniženja s najgorim metodama ugnjetavanja dostojanstva imale su za cilj održavanje fašističke vlasti i otimanje ovog najljepšeg dijela Dalmacije i Hrvatske.
Mučenje i patnja trajalo je sve do 31. listopada, 1944. godine, kada su borci NOV (partizani) oslobodili Zadar, vratili mu naš, hrvatski jezik i pismo, čime je na pravedan način, uz mnogo borbe i krvi, ispravljena nepravda koju su desetljećima činili talijanski fašisti, kasnije uz pomoć domaćih slugu.
Zato, poštovana gospođo rektorice, ne možemo podržati da se uz stazu pokraj bunkera napisao tekst kao podsjetnik na ulogu tih građevina, a da se izbjeglo kazati (slučajno ili namjerno) istinu da su isti bili u službi zaštite fašističkih interesa u Zadru. Iz tih razloga, molimo Vas ispravite (nadopunite) postojeći info-tekst na ploči, kako bi posjetitelji mogli saznati pravu istinu o razlozima izgradnje i trajanja ovih objekata.
Ukoliko Vam vrijeme i obveze dozvoljavaju, molimo Vas da upriličite razgovor s predstavnicima naše Udruge na kojem bismo detaljnije obrazložili naše stavove. A ti stavovi su pisanje istine i činjenica lišeni bilo kakve ideologizacije.
U svakom slučaju, poštovana rektorice Vican, nužno je učiniti ovaj ispravak u interesu povijesne istine i odbacivanja mogućih sumnji u isticanje želje za rehabilitaciju, još uvijek izraženih posezanja za našom obalom od strane fašističkih pojedinaca i grupa iz Italije.
Nadamo se da će prevladati razboritost, te da ćete Vi kao znanstvenica pozitivno reagirati na ovaj izazov.
