U vrgorskim poljima počela je berba jagoda, voća po kojem je taj kraj poznat i prepoznat diljem Hrvatske, prve jagode mogle su se kušati već za Uskrs.

Većina jagodara svoju proizvodnju prebacila je u plastenike, ponajprije zbog mraza koji im je prošlih godina znao prepoloviti planirani urod. Prema riječima struke, a i samih poljoprivrednika, puno je nepoznanica ove godine, ali svi očekuju i nadaju se dobroj berbi.

- Očekuje se da će se ove godine ubrati oko 600 tona domaće visokokvalitetne jagode na ukupno 35 hektara površina. Gotovo 90 posto proizvodnje je u "visokim tunelima" i samim time smanjen je utjecaj vremenskih prilika te kemijskog tretiranja kako bi se plod sačuvao.

Sve je poskupjelo, počevši od repromaterijala, posebno dušična gnojiva. Očekujemo da ni otkupa cijena ne bih smjela padati ispod 25 kuna za kilogram. Od ove godine idu nove košarice, zelena s našim znakom.

Čisto da se maknemo od plave kako nas drugi ne bi kopirali i pod našim imenom prodavali svoje jagode - kaže dip. inž. Milan Franić, potpredsjednik udruge "Vrgoračka jagoda" koja okuplja oko stotinjak proizvođača, te dodao:

- Budući da se prošle dvije berbe bile dobre, očekivali smo da će se broj proizvođača možda povećati. No, zbog skupog repromaterijala i podizanja nasada, mnogi su odustali.

Za dobar nasad s 10 tisuća sadnica treba vam oko 74 tisuće kuna, a prije je za to trebalo izdvojiti dosta manje novca, oko 41 tisuću kuna. Što se tiče radne snage uglavnom svi su iz obitelji angažirani na branju, ali mislim da bez 100 sezonaca nećemo uspjeti sve ubrati.

Orah je mjesto gdje se "rodila" vrgorska jagoda, a jedan od simbola proizvodnje u tom mjestu je mladi poljoprivrednik Mate Vujičić, u čijoj obitelji se bave se samo poljoprivredom, na čelu s popularnim voćem. Nekoliko plastenika u kojima je posađeno 30 tisuća sadnica treba paziti tijekom cijele godine, težak je to i mukotrpan posao, ali Vujčić sa svoje zemlje ne pomišlja na odlazak u Irsku, Njemačku...

- Moja obitelj ima oko 30 tisuća sadnica u plastenicima, ogromni su to troškovi, budući da iz dana u dan sve poskupljuje, ali čovjek se mora boriti i od nečega živjeti. Vrgoračka jagoda je unikat ili bolje reći ručni rad, a o kvaliteti ne treba pričati, to su pokazala brojna istraživanja.

Kad bi barem uvozne jagode prolazile takvu kontrolu kao naše. Ove godine već nas je počeo "ubijati" uvoz, jer uvozna jagoda je sad 16 kuna, a naša 30 kuna.

Kako tome stati na kraj? Mnogo ljudi bi uzeli našu, vrgoračku jagodu, ali nemaju novca. Mi ne možemo spuštati toliko cijenu, jer jedna gajba s deset praznih čašica dođe 10 kuna, a koliko je tek poskupio repromaterijal?!

Otkupna cijena nam je zbog nekontroliranog uvoza u samo dva dana pala za gotovo dvije kune po kilogramu - žali se Vujičić i domeće:

- Prošlih godina, kada zbog pandemije nije bilo tolikog uvoza i rasta cijena repromaterijala, moglo se nešto zaraditi od jagoda. Ove godine ne znamo što će biti ako se nastavi toliki uvoz. Država mora tome stati na kraj, ako želi sačuvati svoje selo i poljoprivredu.

U vrgorskim poljima počela je berba jagoda, voća po kojem je taj kraj poznat i prepoznat diljem Hrvatske, prve jagode mogle su se kušati već za Uskrs.

Većina jagodara svoju proizvodnju prebacila je u plastenike, ponajprije zbog mraza koji im je prošlih godina znao prepoloviti planirani urod. Prema riječima struke, a i samih poljoprivrednika, puno je nepoznanica ove godine, ali svi očekuju i nadaju se dobroj berbi.

- Očekuje se da će se ove godine ubrati oko 600 tona domaće visokokvalitetne jagode na ukupno 35 hektara površina. Gotovo 90 posto proizvodnje je u "visokim tunelima" i samim time smanjen je utjecaj vremenskih prilika te kemijskog tretiranja kako bi se plod sačuvao.

Sve je poskupjelo, počevši od repromaterijala, posebno dušična gnojiva. Očekujemo da ni otkupa cijena ne bih smjela padati ispod 25 kuna za kilogram. Od ove godine idu nove košarice, zelena s našim znakom.

Čisto da se maknemo od plave kako nas drugi ne bi kopirali i pod našim imenom prodavali svoje jagode - kaže dip. inž. Milan Franić, potpredsjednik udruge "Vrgoračka jagoda" koja okuplja oko stotinjak proizvođača, te dodao:

- Budući da se prošle dvije berbe bile dobre, očekivali smo da će se broj proizvođača možda povećati. No, zbog skupog repromaterijala i podizanja nasada, mnogi su odustali.

Za dobar nasad s 10 tisuća sadnica treba vam oko 74 tisuće kuna, a prije je za to trebalo izdvojiti dosta manje novca, oko 41 tisuću kuna. Što se tiče radne snage uglavnom svi su iz obitelji angažirani na branju, ali mislim da bez 100 sezonaca nećemo uspjeti sve ubrati.

Orah je mjesto gdje se "rodila" vrgorska jagoda, a jedan od simbola proizvodnje u tom mjestu je mladi poljoprivrednik Mate Vujičić, u čijoj obitelji se bave se samo poljoprivredom, na čelu s popularnim voćem. Nekoliko plastenika u kojima je posađeno 30 tisuća sadnica treba paziti tijekom cijele godine, težak je to i mukotrpan posao, ali Vujčić sa svoje zemlje ne pomišlja na odlazak u Irsku, Njemačku...

- Moja obitelj ima oko 30 tisuća sadnica u plastenicima, ogromni su to troškovi, budući da iz dana u dan sve poskupljuje, ali čovjek se mora boriti i od nečega živjeti. Vrgoračka jagoda je unikat ili bolje reći ručni rad, a o kvaliteti ne treba pričati, to su pokazala brojna istraživanja.

Kad bi barem uvozne jagode prolazile takvu kontrolu kao naše. Ove godine već nas je počeo "ubijati" uvoz, jer uvozna jagoda je sad 16 kuna, a naša 30 kuna.

Kako tome stati na kraj? Mnogo ljudi bi uzeli našu, vrgoračku jagodu, ali nemaju novca. Mi ne možemo spuštati toliko cijenu, jer jedna gajba s deset praznih čašica dođe 10 kuna, a koliko je tek poskupio repromaterijal?!

Otkupna cijena nam je zbog nekontroliranog uvoza u samo dva dana pala za gotovo dvije kune po kilogramu - žali se Vujičić i domeće:

- Prošlih godina, kada zbog pandemije nije bilo tolikog uvoza i rasta cijena repromaterijala, moglo se nešto zaraditi od jagoda. Ove godine ne znamo što će biti ako se nastavi toliki uvoz. Država mora tome stati na kraj, ako želi sačuvati svoje selo i poljoprivredu.

Stižu prve jagode iz Vrgorca, cijena im je vrtoglava i dvostruko viša od uvoznih, a poljoprivrednici su pred zidom

U vrgorskim poljima počela je berba jagoda, voća po kojem je taj kraj poznat i prepoznat diljem Hrvatske, prve jagode mogle su se kušati već za Uskrs.

Većina jagodara svoju proizvodnju prebacila je u plastenike, ponajprije zbog mraza koji im je prošlih godina znao prepoloviti planirani urod. Prema riječima struke, a i samih poljoprivrednika, puno je nepoznanica ove godine, ali svi očekuju i nadaju se dobroj berbi.

- Očekuje se da će se ove godine ubrati oko 600 tona domaće visokokvalitetne jagode na ukupno 35 hektara površina. Gotovo 90 posto proizvodnje je u "visokim tunelima" i samim time smanjen je utjecaj vremenskih prilika te kemijskog tretiranja kako bi se plod sačuvao.

Sve je poskupjelo, počevši od repromaterijala, posebno dušična gnojiva. Očekujemo da ni otkupa cijena ne bih smjela padati ispod 25 kuna za kilogram. Od ove godine idu nove košarice, zelena s našim znakom.

Čisto da se maknemo od plave kako nas drugi ne bi kopirali i pod našim imenom prodavali svoje jagode - kaže dip. inž. Milan Franić, potpredsjednik udruge "Vrgoračka jagoda" koja okuplja oko stotinjak proizvođača, te dodao:
