Europska komisija je u petak dala uvjetno odobrenje za stavljanje na tržište lijeka remdesivir, što ga čini prvim lijekom odobrenim na razini EU-a za liječenje bolesti covid-19.

"Današnje odobrenje prvog lijeka za liječenje covida-19 važan je korak naprijed u borbi protiv virusa. Odobrenje koje smo dali manje od mjesec dana nakon podnošenja zahtjeva, jasno pokazuje odlučnost EU-a da reagira brzo kad god novi tretmani postanu dostupni. Prevrnut ćemo svaki kamen u našim naporima da osiguramo učinkovito liječenje ili cjepivo protiv koronavirusa", izjavila je povjerenica za zdravstvo Stella Kyriakides.

Remdesivir je zasad odobren za uvjetno stavljanje na tržište. Uvjetno odobrenje jedan je od mehanizama koji je stvoren kako bi se olakšala što ranija dostupnost lijekova koji mogu zadovoljiti medicinske potrebe,  između ostaloga i u hitnim situacijama kada je potreban odgovor na prijetnje javnom zdravlju, kao što je slučaj sa sadašnjom pandemijom koronavirusa.

Odobrenje Komisije stiglo je tjedan dana nakon preporuke Europske agencije za lijekove (EMA).

MA u svom priopćenju ističe da joj mehanizam uvjetnog odobrenja omogućava da preporuči neki lijek i u slučajevima kada ne raspolaže u potpunosti svim podacima ako su koristi veće od rizika.

Remdesivir je antivirusni lijek prvotno razvijen protiv ebole. To je prvi lijek koji je pokazao određenu učinkovitost u bolesnika hospitaliziranih zbog covida-19.

Europska komisija je u petak dala uvjetno odobrenje za stavljanje na tržište lijeka remdesivir, što ga čini prvim lijekom odobrenim na razini EU-a za liječenje bolesti covid-19.

"Današnje odobrenje prvog lijeka za liječenje covida-19 važan je korak naprijed u borbi protiv virusa. Odobrenje koje smo dali manje od mjesec dana nakon podnošenja zahtjeva, jasno pokazuje odlučnost EU-a da reagira brzo kad god novi tretmani postanu dostupni. Prevrnut ćemo svaki kamen u našim naporima da osiguramo učinkovito liječenje ili cjepivo protiv koronavirusa", izjavila je povjerenica za zdravstvo Stella Kyriakides.

Remdesivir je zasad odobren za uvjetno stavljanje na tržište. Uvjetno odobrenje jedan je od mehanizama koji je stvoren kako bi se olakšala što ranija dostupnost lijekova koji mogu zadovoljiti medicinske potrebe,  između ostaloga i u hitnim situacijama kada je potreban odgovor na prijetnje javnom zdravlju, kao što je slučaj sa sadašnjom pandemijom koronavirusa.

Odobrenje Komisije stiglo je tjedan dana nakon preporuke Europske agencije za lijekove (EMA).

MA u svom priopćenju ističe da joj mehanizam uvjetnog odobrenja omogućava da preporuči neki lijek i u slučajevima kada ne raspolaže u potpunosti svim podacima ako su koristi veće od rizika.

Remdesivir je antivirusni lijek prvotno razvijen protiv ebole. To je prvi lijek koji je pokazao određenu učinkovitost u bolesnika hospitaliziranih zbog covida-19.

Europska komisija je u petak dala uvjetno odobrenje za stavljanje na tržište lijeka remdesivir, što ga čini prvim lijekom odobrenim na razini EU-a za liječenje bolesti covid-19.

Uvjetno odobrenje jedan je od mehanizama koji je stvoren kako bi se olakšala što ranija dostupnost lijekova koji mogu zadovoljiti medicinske potrebe,  između ostaloga i u hitnim situacijama kada je potreban odgovor na prijetnje javnom zdravlju, kao što je slučaj sa sadašnjom pandemijom koronavirusa.

Odobrenje Komisije stiglo je tjedan dana nakon preporuke Europske agencije za lijekove (EMA).

MA u svom priopćenju ističe da joj mehanizam uvjetnog odobrenja omogućava da preporuči neki lijek i u slučajevima kada ne raspolaže u potpunosti svim podacima ako su koristi veće od rizika.

Remdesivir je antivirusni lijek prvotno razvijen protiv ebole. To je prvi lijek koji je pokazao određenu učinkovitost u bolesnika hospitaliziranih zbog covida-19.
