Hrvatski zavod za javno zdravstvo (HZJZ) poručio je u petak da nema mjesta za strah ili paniku nakon prvog potvrđenog slučaja majmunskih boginja u Hrvatskoj, jer bolest nije jako zarazna i trenutno nema drugih sumnjivih slučajeva.
"Važno je naglasiti kako bolest nije jako zarazna, tj. u većini slučajeva potreban je vrlo blizak kontakt s bolesnikom za prijenos", izjavila je Hini epidemiologinja Vesna Višekruna Vučina, nakon što je jučer prvi slučaj majmunskih boginja potvrđen na zagrebačkoj Klinici za infektivne bolesti "Dr. Fran Mihaljević".
Majmunske boginje potvrđene su PCR testiranjem kod muškarca koji je boravio u Italiji i Španjolskoj. Oboljeli nije hospitaliziran, već se nalazi u kućnoj izolaciji.
"Radi se o importiranom slučaju, oboljela osoba ima blagu kliničku sliku. Trenutno u Hrvatskoj nema drugih sumnjivih slučajeva", ističe epidemiologinja HZJZ-a.
Prema podacima Europskog centra za sprječavanje i kontrolu bolesti (ECDC), objavljenima u srijedu, 22. lipnja, u Europi je registrirano 2746 slučajeva.
Američki centar za kontrolu i prevenciju bolesti (CDC) u četvrtak, 23. lipnja, objavio je da su u SAD-u potvrđena 173 slučaja.
Prirodni rezervoar virusa najvjerojatnije su neke vrste vjeverica i drugih glodavaca u divljini u zemljama centralne i zapadne Afrike. Iako se bolest zove majmunske boginje, izgleda da majmuni nisu rezervoar virusa, već se slučajno zaraze, kao i čovjek, u kontaktu s drugim životinjama i njihovim izlučevinama. Bolest prelazi na ljude u kontaktu s izlučevinama bolesnih životinja putem sluznica ili oštećene kože čovjeka. Također, može se prenijeti ugrizom ili ogrebotinom bolesne životinje.
S čovjeka na čovjeka bolest se može prenijeti kapljičnim putem (bliskim kontaktom) kao i kontaktom s kožnim promjenama koje nastaju kod oboljeloga, kažu u HZJZ-u.
Bolest se očituje povišenom tjelesnom temperaturom, glavoboljom, zimicom, iscrpljenošću, umorom, bolovima u mišićima i leđima, oticanjem limfnih čvorova i osipom koji sliči osipu kod vodenih kozica.
Liječenje je simptomatsko i u većini slučajeva bolest prođe kroz dva do četiri tjedna.
Kod epidemije majmunskih boginja ne pribjegava se masovnom cijepljenju protiv velikih boginja, već se uglavnom preporuča postekspozicijsko cijepljenje bliskih kontakata, rekla je Hini Višekruna Vučina.

Hrvatski zavod za javno zdravstvo (HZJZ) poručio je u petak da nema mjesta za strah ili paniku nakon prvog potvrđenog slučaja majmunskih boginja u Hrvatskoj, jer bolest nije jako zarazna i trenutno nema drugih sumnjivih slučajeva.
"Važno je naglasiti kako bolest nije jako zarazna, tj. u većini slučajeva potreban je vrlo blizak kontakt s bolesnikom za prijenos", izjavila je Hini epidemiologinja Vesna Višekruna Vučina, nakon što je jučer prvi slučaj majmunskih boginja potvrđen na zagrebačkoj Klinici za infektivne bolesti "Dr. Fran Mihaljević".
Majmunske boginje potvrđene su PCR testiranjem kod muškarca koji je boravio u Italiji i Španjolskoj. Oboljeli nije hospitaliziran, već se nalazi u kućnoj izolaciji.
"Radi se o importiranom slučaju, oboljela osoba ima blagu kliničku sliku. Trenutno u Hrvatskoj nema drugih sumnjivih slučajeva", ističe epidemiologinja HZJZ-a.
Prema podacima Europskog centra za sprječavanje i kontrolu bolesti (ECDC), objavljenima u srijedu, 22. lipnja, u Europi je registrirano 2746 slučajeva.
Američki centar za kontrolu i prevenciju bolesti (CDC) u četvrtak, 23. lipnja, objavio je da su u SAD-u potvrđena 173 slučaja.
Prirodni rezervoar virusa najvjerojatnije su neke vrste vjeverica i drugih glodavaca u divljini u zemljama centralne i zapadne Afrike. Iako se bolest zove majmunske boginje, izgleda da majmuni nisu rezervoar virusa, već se slučajno zaraze, kao i čovjek, u kontaktu s drugim životinjama i njihovim izlučevinama. Bolest prelazi na ljude u kontaktu s izlučevinama bolesnih životinja putem sluznica ili oštećene kože čovjeka. Također, može se prenijeti ugrizom ili ogrebotinom bolesne životinje.
S čovjeka na čovjeka bolest se može prenijeti kapljičnim putem (bliskim kontaktom) kao i kontaktom s kožnim promjenama koje nastaju kod oboljeloga, kažu u HZJZ-u.
Bolest se očituje povišenom tjelesnom temperaturom, glavoboljom, zimicom, iscrpljenošću, umorom, bolovima u mišićima i leđima, oticanjem limfnih čvorova i osipom koji sliči osipu kod vodenih kozica.
Liječenje je simptomatsko i u većini slučajeva bolest prođe kroz dva do četiri tjedna.
Kod epidemije majmunskih boginja ne pribjegava se masovnom cijepljenju protiv velikih boginja, već se uglavnom preporuča postekspozicijsko cijepljenje bliskih kontakata, rekla je Hini Višekruna Vučina.
