Druga osoba zaražena majmunskim boginjama umrla je u Španjolskoj, objavilo je u subotu ministarstvo zdravstva te zemlje, dan nakon objave prvog smrtnog slučaja.

"Među 3750 pacijenata, 120 je hospitalizirano, a dvoje je umrlih", objavio je Centar za hitna zdravstvena stanja pri ministarstvu zdravstva u svom najnovijem izvješću, ne precizirajući kada je drugi pacijent umro. To su prve dvije osoba u Europi koje su umrle od majmunskih boginja.

U petak su Brazil i Španjolska objavile prve slučajeve smrti od majmunskih boginja izvan Afrike.

Računajući i dva smrtna slučaja u Španjolskoj, dosad je od svibnja u svijetu zabilježeno osam smrtnih slučajeva, od kojih prvih pet u Africi gdje je bolest endemska i prvi puta je otkrivena kod jednog muškarca 1970.

Španjolska je jedna od zemalja s najviše slučajeva u svijetu.

Većina zaraženih je u Europi gdje je 70 posto od 18.000 slučajeva detektiranih od početka svibnja, a 25 posto je u dvije Amerike, objavio je direktor Svjetske zdravstvene organizacije (WHO) Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus.

U većini slučajeva, bolesnici su muškarci koji su imali spolne odnose s drugim muškarcima, relativno mladi i koji žive u gradovima.

Regionalni ured WHO-a za Europu objavio je u subotu da se može predvidjeti da će doći do povećanja broja smrti od majmunskih boginja. Ipak, organizacija naglašava da su teške komplikacije vrlo rijetke.

"S obzirom na nastavak širenja majmunskih boginja u Europi, očekujemo još smrtnih slučajeva", rekla je Catherine Smallwood, dužnosnica za hitne situacije WHO-a za Europu.

Svjetska zdravstvena organizacija prošli tjedan objavila je da je epidemija majmunskih boginja globalna zdravstvena opasnost.

Izvanredno stanje u državi New York

U SAD-u, guvernerka države New York u kojoj se bilježi četvrtina od ukupno oboljelih u SAD-u od majmunskih boginja, objavila je izvanredno stanje u toj saveznoj državi zbog širenja epidemije.

"Proglašavam izvanredno stanje kako bi se ojačali naši neprestani napori u suočavanju s izbijanjem epidemije majmunskih boginja", tvitala je Kathy Hochul kasno u petak.

Na dan 29. srpnja, država New York imala je 1383 potvrđena slučaja majmunskih boginja, stoji na internetskoj stranici ministarstva zdravstva te savezne države.

Druga osoba zaražena majmunskim boginjama umrla je u Španjolskoj, objavilo je u subotu ministarstvo zdravstva te zemlje, dan nakon objave prvog smrtnog slučaja.

"Među 3750 pacijenata, 120 je hospitalizirano, a dvoje je umrlih", objavio je Centar za hitna zdravstvena stanja pri ministarstvu zdravstva u svom najnovijem izvješću, ne precizirajući kada je drugi pacijent umro. To su prve dvije osoba u Europi koje su umrle od majmunskih boginja.

U petak su Brazil i Španjolska objavile prve slučajeve smrti od majmunskih boginja izvan Afrike.

Računajući i dva smrtna slučaja u Španjolskoj, dosad je od svibnja u svijetu zabilježeno osam smrtnih slučajeva, od kojih prvih pet u Africi gdje je bolest endemska i prvi puta je otkrivena kod jednog muškarca 1970.

Španjolska je jedna od zemalja s najviše slučajeva u svijetu.

Većina zaraženih je u Europi gdje je 70 posto od 18.000 slučajeva detektiranih od početka svibnja, a 25 posto je u dvije Amerike, objavio je direktor Svjetske zdravstvene organizacije (WHO) Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus.

U većini slučajeva, bolesnici su muškarci koji su imali spolne odnose s drugim muškarcima, relativno mladi i koji žive u gradovima.

Regionalni ured WHO-a za Europu objavio je u subotu da se može predvidjeti da će doći do povećanja broja smrti od majmunskih boginja. Ipak, organizacija naglašava da su teške komplikacije vrlo rijetke.

"S obzirom na nastavak širenja majmunskih boginja u Europi, očekujemo još smrtnih slučajeva", rekla je Catherine Smallwood, dužnosnica za hitne situacije WHO-a za Europu.

Svjetska zdravstvena organizacija prošli tjedan objavila je da je epidemija majmunskih boginja globalna zdravstvena opasnost.

Izvanredno stanje u državi New York

U SAD-u, guvernerka države New York u kojoj se bilježi četvrtina od ukupno oboljelih u SAD-u od majmunskih boginja, objavila je izvanredno stanje u toj saveznoj državi zbog širenja epidemije.

"Proglašavam izvanredno stanje kako bi se ojačali naši neprestani napori u suočavanju s izbijanjem epidemije majmunskih boginja", tvitala je Kathy Hochul kasno u petak.

Na dan 29. srpnja, država New York imala je 1383 potvrđena slučaja majmunskih boginja, stoji na internetskoj stranici ministarstva zdravstva te savezne države.

U Španjolskoj drugi smrtni slučaj od majmunskih boginja. Guvernerka države New York objavila izvanredno stanje u toj saveznoj državi zbog širenja epidemije

Druga osoba zaražena majmunskim boginjama umrla je u Španjolskoj, objavilo je u subotu ministarstvo zdravstva te zemlje, dan nakon objave prvog smrtnog slučaja.

"Među 3750 pacijenata, 120 je hospitalizirano, a dvoje je umrlih", objavio je Centar za hitna zdravstvena stanja pri ministarstvu zdravstva u svom najnovijem izvješću, ne precizirajući kada je drugi pacijent umro. To su prve dvije osoba u Europi koje su umrle od majmunskih boginja.

U petak su Brazil i Španjolska objavile prve slučajeve smrti od majmunskih boginja izvan Afrike.

Računajući i dva smrtna slučaja u Španjolskoj, dosad je od svibnja u svijetu zabilježeno osam smrtnih slučajeva, od kojih prvih pet u Africi gdje je bolest endemska i prvi puta je otkrivena kod jednog muškarca 1970.
