Republikanska stranka je prvu epizodu svoje nacionalne konvencije iskoristila kako bi poslala mračna upozorenja o distopijskoj budućnosti Amerike, nudeći ponovni izbor Donalda Trumpa kao jedini put za spas zemlje od pada u ponore socijalizma, ekonomske propasti, nasilja i anarhije.

Zbirka govora stranačkih perjanika ponudila je naciji apokaliptičnu viziju posljedica pogrešnog predsjedničkog izbora u studenome. Čak se ni balkanska zastrašivanja komunističkom opasnošću ne mogu mjeriti s paranoidnošću američke konzervativne partije suočene s mogućim gubitkom moći.

"Oni (demokrati) će vas razoružati, isprazniti zatvore, zatvoriti vas u kuću i pozvati uličnu bandu da živi u susjedstvu", poručio je kongresmen Matt Gaetz s Floride Amerikancima, naviještajući u slučaju pobjede Joea Bidena "zajamčeni film strave i užasa".

Savjetnica u Trumpovu stožeru i partnerica Trumpova sina Kimberly Guilfoyle u slučaju pobjede demokrata sluti brzopoteznu preobrazbu SAD-a u Kubu i Venezuelu. Djevojka Trumpa Juniora borbenim je govorom svima ostalima gotovo ukrala šou, pa brojni američki mediji pišu da je Guilfoyle šest minuta "urlikala na Ameriku", nastojeći je upozoriti na političku apokalipsu.

I Donald Trump Junior je odlučio pripomoći ocu tvrdeći kako Joe Biden i radikalna ljevica zloupotrebljavaju republikansku dobrotu i slobodu govora samo kako bi ušutkali većinu. Snimljenim govorom emitiranim na konvenciji Trumpu je potporu dao i bijeli bračni par iz St. Louisa Mark i Patricia McCloskey, slavan po vađenju oružja na nedavne mirne prosvjednike iz pokreta Black Lives Matter. Ne nudeći suvišne argumente, optužili su demokrate da štite zločince umjesto poštenih građana. Ni ostali govornici nisu prezali od ocjena Trumpa kao predsjednika s najboljim namjerama u povijesti, koje su diverzijama demokrata i zlih medija opstruirane na svakom koraku. Biden, Kamala Harris i demokrati planiraju provesti kulturnu revoluciju, poručivalo je zborno više govornika, na tragu nedavnih upozorenja slovenskog premijera Janše o prijetećem "kulturnom marksizmu".

Verbalni radikalizam, širenje ekstremnog straha i svaljivanje sve krivnje za američke probleme na unutrašnje i vanjske neprijatelje nisu, međutim, uspjeli prikriti Trumpovu kadrovsku golotinju: umjesto sadašnjih ili bivših visokih dužnosnika stranke, ove su godine potporu njegovu novom predsjedničkom mandatu mahom nudile poznate figure s konzervativnog republikanskog krila. Platforma stranačkog jedinstva je uočljivo izostala, jer nije nastupio nijedan od republikanaca koji nisu Trumpovi istomišljenici. Štoviše, veći je broj bivših i sadašnjih republikanskih senatora otvoreno podupro i njegova stranačkog političkog rivala, Joea Bidena.

Simpatije

Nije ostalo nezamijećeno ni da jedini živući bivši republikanski predsjednik George W. Bush, suprotno izbornim običajima, nije nastupio na stranačkoj konvenciji, pa čak ni poslao snimljenu videoporuku. Za razliku od njega, sva tri bivša živa demokratska predsjednika sudjelovala su na prošlotjednoj nacionalnoj konvenciji demokrata i deklarirala podršku Bidenu kao predsjedničkom kandidatu. Biden je tijekom kampanje krug podrške vidno pomaknuo s ljevice prema centru svojim umjerenim nastupima, čemu može zahvaliti i sve snažnije anketne simpatije među antitrumpovskim republikancima.

Nasuprot Trumpovu nominacijskom govoru u kojemu je unaprijed optužio demokrate za izbornu krađu, stoji i njegov porazni pandemijski rejting: po novom Gallupovom istraživanju samo 36 posto Amerikanaca odobrava, a 64 posto ne odobrava njegov model nošenja s koronavirusom, koji je dosad u SAD-u ubio gotovo 180 tisuća ljudi.

Republikanska stranka je prvu epizodu svoje nacionalne konvencije iskoristila kako bi poslala mračna upozorenja o distopijskoj budućnosti Amerike, nudeći ponovni izbor Donalda Trumpa kao jedini put za spas zemlje od pada u ponore socijalizma, ekonomske propasti, nasilja i anarhije.

Zbirka govora stranačkih perjanika ponudila je naciji apokaliptičnu viziju posljedica pogrešnog predsjedničkog izbora u studenome. Čak se ni balkanska zastrašivanja komunističkom opasnošću ne mogu mjeriti s paranoidnošću američke konzervativne partije suočene s mogućim gubitkom moći.

"Oni (demokrati) će vas razoružati, isprazniti zatvore, zatvoriti vas u kuću i pozvati uličnu bandu da živi u susjedstvu", poručio je kongresmen Matt Gaetz s Floride Amerikancima, naviještajući u slučaju pobjede Joea Bidena "zajamčeni film strave i užasa".

Savjetnica u Trumpovu stožeru i partnerica Trumpova sina Kimberly Guilfoyle u slučaju pobjede demokrata sluti brzopoteznu preobrazbu SAD-a u Kubu i Venezuelu. Djevojka Trumpa Juniora borbenim je govorom svima ostalima gotovo ukrala šou, pa brojni američki mediji pišu da je Guilfoyle šest minuta "urlikala na Ameriku", nastojeći je upozoriti na političku apokalipsu.

I Donald Trump Junior je odlučio pripomoći ocu tvrdeći kako Joe Biden i radikalna ljevica zloupotrebljavaju republikansku dobrotu i slobodu govora samo kako bi ušutkali većinu. Snimljenim govorom emitiranim na konvenciji Trumpu je potporu dao i bijeli bračni par iz St. Louisa Mark i Patricia McCloskey, slavan po vađenju oružja na nedavne mirne prosvjednike iz pokreta Black Lives Matter. Ne nudeći suvišne argumente, optužili su demokrate da štite zločince umjesto poštenih građana. Ni ostali govornici nisu prezali od ocjena Trumpa kao predsjednika s najboljim namjerama u povijesti, koje su diverzijama demokrata i zlih medija opstruirane na svakom koraku. Biden, Kamala Harris i demokrati planiraju provesti kulturnu revoluciju, poručivalo je zborno više govornika, na tragu nedavnih upozorenja slovenskog premijera Janše o prijetećem "kulturnom marksizmu".

Verbalni radikalizam, širenje ekstremnog straha i svaljivanje sve krivnje za američke probleme na unutrašnje i vanjske neprijatelje nisu, međutim, uspjeli prikriti Trumpovu kadrovsku golotinju: umjesto sadašnjih ili bivših visokih dužnosnika stranke, ove su godine potporu njegovu novom predsjedničkom mandatu mahom nudile poznate figure s konzervativnog republikanskog krila. Platforma stranačkog jedinstva je uočljivo izostala, jer nije nastupio nijedan od republikanaca koji nisu Trumpovi istomišljenici. Štoviše, veći je broj bivših i sadašnjih republikanskih senatora otvoreno podupro i njegova stranačkog političkog rivala, Joea Bidena.

Simpatije

Nije ostalo nezamijećeno ni da jedini živući bivši republikanski predsjednik George W. Bush, suprotno izbornim običajima, nije nastupio na stranačkoj konvenciji, pa čak ni poslao snimljenu videoporuku. Za razliku od njega, sva tri bivša živa demokratska predsjednika sudjelovala su na prošlotjednoj nacionalnoj konvenciji demokrata i deklarirala podršku Bidenu kao predsjedničkom kandidatu. Biden je tijekom kampanje krug podrške vidno pomaknuo s ljevice prema centru svojim umjerenim nastupima, čemu može zahvaliti i sve snažnije anketne simpatije među antitrumpovskim republikancima.

Nasuprot Trumpovu nominacijskom govoru u kojemu je unaprijed optužio demokrate za izbornu krađu, stoji i njegov porazni pandemijski rejting: po novom Gallupovom istraživanju samo 36 posto Amerikanaca odobrava, a 64 posto ne odobrava njegov model nošenja s koronavirusom, koji je dosad u SAD-u ubio gotovo 180 tisuća ljudi.

Republikanska stranka je prvu epizodu svoje nacionalne konvencije iskoristila kako bi poslala mračna upozorenja o distopijskoj budućnosti Amerike, nudeći ponovni izbor Donalda Trumpa kao jedini put za spas zemlje od pada u ponore socijalizma, ekonomske propasti, nasilja i anarhije.

Zbirka govora stranačkih perjanika ponudila je naciji apokaliptičnu viziju posljedica pogrešnog predsjedničkog izbora u studenome. Čak se ni balkanska zastrašivanja komunističkom opasnošću ne mogu mjeriti s paranoidnošću američke konzervativne partije suočene s mogućim gubitkom moći.
