Američka agencija za hranu i lijekove (FDA) odobrila je hitnu upotrebu cjepiva Pfizer i BioNTecha protiv koronavirusa za djecu u dobi od 12 godina čime je u SAD-u, gdje se bilježi značajan pad stope procijepljenosti, proširen program cijepljenja.

FDA je izvijestila da je odlukom o spuštanju dobne granice u program cijepljenja uključila milijune djece u dobi od 12 do 15 godina. 

Cjepivo Pfizer/BioNTecha prvo je cjepivo protiv Covida-19 koje je u SAD-u odobreno za hitno korištenje za tu dobnu skupinu, što se smatra važnim korakom prema sigurnom povratku djece u škole. Američki predsjednik Joe Biden zatražio je od saveznih zemalja da odmah omoguće cjepiva za mlade adolescente.

"Današnja odluka dopušta zaštitu mlađih populacija od zaraze koronavirusom, što nas približava povratku u normalnost i kraju pandemije", kazala je obnašateljica dužnosti predsjednice FDA Janet Woodcock.

"Roditelji i skrbnici djece mogu biti uvjereni da je agencija provela rigoroznu i detaljnu provjeru svih dostupnih podataka, kao što smo učinili u slučajevima ostalih odobrenja za hitnu uporabu cjepiva protiv Covida-19", poručila je.  

Većina djece koja se zaraze koronavirusom razvije blage simptome ili ih uopće nema. Međutim, djeca nisu u potpunosti izvan rizika da teško obole od zaraze te mogu širiti zarazu. 

Do nedjelje je u SAD-u gotovo 46 posto stanovništva cijepljeno barem jednom dozom cjepiva protiv koronavirusa. Međutim, tempo procijepljivanja usporio je od kada je sredinom travnja zabilježen najveći broj od više od 3.3 milijuna iskorištenih doza tjedno, a taj se broj početkom svibnja smanjio na 2.1 milijun.

Do sada su u SAD-u odobrena hitna upotreba cjepiva za osobe do 16 godina, a proizvođači su započeli proces punog odobrenja korištenja za te dobne skupine.

Američka agencija za hranu i lijekove (FDA) odobrila je hitnu upotrebu cjepiva Pfizer i BioNTecha protiv koronavirusa za djecu u dobi od 12 godina čime je u SAD-u, gdje se bilježi značajan pad stope procijepljenosti, proširen program cijepljenja.

FDA je izvijestila da je odlukom o spuštanju dobne granice u program cijepljenja uključila milijune djece u dobi od 12 do 15 godina. 

Cjepivo Pfizer/BioNTecha prvo je cjepivo protiv Covida-19 koje je u SAD-u odobreno za hitno korištenje za tu dobnu skupinu, što se smatra važnim korakom prema sigurnom povratku djece u škole. Američki predsjednik Joe Biden zatražio je od saveznih zemalja da odmah omoguće cjepiva za mlade adolescente.

"Današnja odluka dopušta zaštitu mlađih populacija od zaraze koronavirusom, što nas približava povratku u normalnost i kraju pandemije", kazala je obnašateljica dužnosti predsjednice FDA Janet Woodcock.

"Roditelji i skrbnici djece mogu biti uvjereni da je agencija provela rigoroznu i detaljnu provjeru svih dostupnih podataka, kao što smo učinili u slučajevima ostalih odobrenja za hitnu uporabu cjepiva protiv Covida-19", poručila je.  

Većina djece koja se zaraze koronavirusom razvije blage simptome ili ih uopće nema. Međutim, djeca nisu u potpunosti izvan rizika da teško obole od zaraze te mogu širiti zarazu. 

Do nedjelje je u SAD-u gotovo 46 posto stanovništva cijepljeno barem jednom dozom cjepiva protiv koronavirusa. Međutim, tempo procijepljivanja usporio je od kada je sredinom travnja zabilježen najveći broj od više od 3.3 milijuna iskorištenih doza tjedno, a taj se broj početkom svibnja smanjio na 2.1 milijun.

Do sada su u SAD-u odobrena hitna upotreba cjepiva za osobe do 16 godina, a proizvođači su započeli proces punog odobrenja korištenja za te dobne skupine.

Sjedinjene Američke Države odobrile upotrebu Pfizer/BioNTech cjepiva za djecu od 12 do 15 godina

Američka agencija za hranu i lijekove (FDA) odobrila je hitnu upotrebu cjepiva Pfizer i BioNTecha protiv koronavirusa za djecu u dobi od 12 godina čime je u SAD-u, gdje se bilježi značajan pad stope procijepljenosti, proširen program cijepljenja.

FDA je izvijestila da je odlukom o spuštanju dobne granice u program cijepljenja uključila milijune djece u dobi od 12 do 15 godina. 

Cjepivo Pfizer/BioNTecha prvo je cjepivo protiv Covida-19 koje je u SAD-u odobreno za hitno korištenje za tu dobnu skupinu, što se smatra važnim korakom prema sigurnom povratku djece u škole. Američki predsjednik Joe Biden zatražio je od saveznih zemalja da odmah omoguće cjepiva za mlade adolescente.
