Pilot zrakoplovne kompanije Delta Airlines uhvaćen je s pozamašnom količinom alkohola u krvi i dvije boce Jägermeistera, prije nego što je trebao letjeti Boeingom 767 iz Edinburgha za New York, prenosi Daily Mail.

Lawrence Russell Jr. zadržan je u pritvoru nakon što je priznao da je došao na posao u zračnoj luci dok je bio pod utjecajem alkohola. Tijekom sigurnosnog pregleda u jutarnjim satima u lipnju prošle godine, otkriveno je da 63-godišnjak ima dvije boce alkohola u torbi, od kojih je jedna bila otvorena i napola prazna.

- Budući da je gospodin Russell nosio pilotsku uniformu, kontaktirana je policija. Potvrdio im je da je kapetan zrakoplova - rekao je tužitelj Matthew Millar.

Nakon što je obavio alkotest, Russell je bio uhićen i odveden u policijsku postaju gdje je dao uzorak krvi. Na sudu je otkriveno da mu je razina alkohola u krvi bila “ne manja od 49 mg alkohola u 100 ml krvi”, dok je zakonska granica 20 miligrama.

- Prestravljen sam - navodno je rekao policajcima kad su mu izrekli optužnicu.

Njegova odvjetnica dostavila je sudu dokumente koji pokazuju da se liječi od alkoholizma te je rekla da je Russell Jr. svjestan ozbiljnosti prekršaja.

Nakon njegovog uhićenja, let iz Edinburgha za New York bio je otkazan, a Delta Airlines je potvrdio da su putnicima pružili pomoć oko nastavka putovanja.

Pilot zrakoplovne kompanije Delta Airlines uhvaćen je s pozamašnom količinom alkohola u krvi i dvije boce Jägermeistera, prije nego što je trebao letjeti Boeingom 767 iz Edinburgha za New York, prenosi Daily Mail.

Lawrence Russell Jr. zadržan je u pritvoru nakon što je priznao da je došao na posao u zračnoj luci dok je bio pod utjecajem alkohola. Tijekom sigurnosnog pregleda u jutarnjim satima u lipnju prošle godine, otkriveno je da 63-godišnjak ima dvije boce alkohola u torbi, od kojih je jedna bila otvorena i napola prazna.

- Budući da je gospodin Russell nosio pilotsku uniformu, kontaktirana je policija. Potvrdio im je da je kapetan zrakoplova - rekao je tužitelj Matthew Millar.

Nakon što je obavio alkotest, Russell je bio uhićen i odveden u policijsku postaju gdje je dao uzorak krvi. Na sudu je otkriveno da mu je razina alkohola u krvi bila “ne manja od 49 mg alkohola u 100 ml krvi”, dok je zakonska granica 20 miligrama.

- Prestravljen sam - navodno je rekao policajcima kad su mu izrekli optužnicu.

Njegova odvjetnica dostavila je sudu dokumente koji pokazuju da se liječi od alkoholizma te je rekla da je Russell Jr. svjestan ozbiljnosti prekršaja.

Pilot zrakoplovne kompanije Delta Airlines uhvaćen je s pozamašnom količinom alkohola u krvi i dvije boce Jägermeistera, prije nego što je trebao letjeti Boeingom 767 iz Edinburgha za New York, prenosi Daily Mail.

Lawrence Russell Jr. zadržan je u pritvoru nakon što je priznao da je došao na posao u zračnoj luci dok je bio pod utjecajem alkohola. Tijekom sigurnosnog pregleda u jutarnjim satima u lipnju prošle godine, otkriveno je da 63-godišnjak ima dvije boce alkohola u torbi, od kojih je jedna bila otvorena i napola prazna.

- Budući da je gospodin Russell nosio pilotsku uniformu, kontaktirana je policija. Potvrdio im je da je kapetan zrakoplova - rekao je tužitelj Matthew Millar.

Nakon što je obavio alkotest, Russell je bio uhićen i odveden u policijsku postaju gdje je dao uzorak krvi. Na sudu je otkriveno da mu je razina alkohola u krvi bila “ne manja od 49 mg alkohola u 100 ml krvi”, dok je zakonska granica 20 miligrama.

- Prestravljen sam - navodno je rekao policajcima kad su mu izrekli optužnicu.

Njegova odvjetnica dostavila je sudu dokumente koji pokazuju da se liječi od alkoholizma te je rekla da je Russell Jr. svjestan ozbiljnosti prekršaja.

Nakon njegovog uhićenja, let iz Edinburgha za New York bio je otkazan, a Delta Airlines je potvrdio da su putnicima pružili pomoć oko nastavka putovanja.
